Charice customizing her own Levi’s Trucker Jacket
It was a star-studded weekend at select Levi’s stores last Nov. 28 and 29, when the brand jump-started the most wonderful time of the year with Levi’s Tailor Shop, a fun affair that gave Levi’s lovers the chance to meet some of the country’s fashion-forward celebrities.

Happy Shopper Tessa Prieto-Valdez

Happily getting their jeans fix were international singer Charice who greeted her fans at SM Dasmariñas; socialite, columnist, and interior designer Tessa Prieto-Valdes, who hobnobbed with Levi’s fans at SM Megamall; menswear blogger AJ Dee at SM Mall of Asia; and Spongecola lead vocalist Yael Yuzon, who reached out to fans at SM North The Block.

On her Instagram account, the perky Ms. Prieto-Valdes shared photos taken of her at the Levi’s Tailor Shop, saying that only her Levi’s family could make her wear jeans.

Meanwhile, Pempengco also posted on her Instagram a photo of her newly customized pair of Levi’s boyfriend jeans that perfectly fit her.

At the Levi’s Tailor Shop, all Levi’s customers who had a P3,000 single receipt purchase—inclusive of any men’s bottoms, women’s bottoms, or trucker jacket—were entitled to a free customization of their Levi’s jeans.

And because Levi’s wanted everyone to start early on their Christmas shopping last Nov 28 to 30, the brand likewise opened the season with a pre-holiday sale, where it offered 30-percent discounts on all regular-priced women’s bottoms and men’s tops at all SM Original Levi’s®stores and at SM Department Stores nationwide.

As Kaths Laudit, Levi’s Philippines Marketing Head, enthuses, “Levi’s gave its fans a very early Christmas gift—the pre-holiday sale—because they are very special to us. Through Levi’s Tailor Shops, too, people got the chance to have their perfect-fitting pairs of Levi’s jeans!”

And trust Levi’s to toss in some star power as a bonus treat.

“Levi’s celebrities guests helped keep jeans lovers abreast of the latest trends by sharing tips for looking their best,” Laudit shares.

CHARICE’S NEW LOOK : NEW HAIR, NEW TATTOO

Charice has shows her “real” side with the new look.
“For me, just love me. I‘m a person. If you think I‘m a boy or a girl or if I look like a boy, then fine. I‘m Charice.”
She explains why she changes her good girl image into a more edgy look. She basically chopped her hair off, colored it light brown, then got a new tattoo that said “Love Eternally” with the infinity symbol in between.
"The tattoo that I have has a meaning. The tattoo says 'love eternally' and it has an infinity sign. It's for my love for people, for my fans and for my family, for everybody. So, every time I do something I always have reason," Charice said at a press conference.

Her tattoo was inked in Singapore where she had a concert last March 5.

“Yung ibang people sa management, gusto nila yung look ko parang Selena Gomez. The other one, they want me to be more like Avril Lavigne, which is what I like. Or more like Rihanna. That’s what I like. That’s what we’re trying to do. I thinkeverybody’s shocked. This is such a huge step for me and I love it. This is me. This is who I am. I just don’t want to stay a person that I don’t like… I’ve been thinking about it for years and years. This is a dream come true for me, Charice said.

Charice with long hair  covers the Preview Magazine January - February 2012 issue . Now with her boyish hair and tattoo,  some critics are out once again saying that she looks like a lesbian and even compared her new look to Aiza Seguerra, a Filipina singer who is openly lesbian.
“Are you kidding me? I’ve read tons of negative comments and I don’t care. Whatever they think maybe if I look somebody or whoever I don’t mind. I mean this is the look that I want. So, the only thing you can do is to move on.”
