SEOUL, April 12, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) unveiled a new brand direction and visual identity, which will shed more light on the value of Life’s Good with a more dynamic and youthful look across all physical and digital customer touch points.

In the company’s new Brand Communication Guidelines shared with employees all around the world, LG outlined the new direction for the brand to be loved by customers across countries and generations, including Generation Z, and ultimately establish itself as an iconic brand. The Brand Communication Guidelines reiterate LG’s core values of ‘Uncompromising Customer Experience,’ ‘Human-centered Innovation’ and ‘Warmth to Power a Smile.’

The brand slogan, Life’s Good, encompasses the message of how the company enables its customers to enjoy a quality life and indulge in precious moments via LG products, services and communication. And, as the brand mission, the company has pursued Innovation for a Better Life, contributing to the shaping of a better life and future for the planet.

The newly established brand direction includes a revamp of LG’s visual identity, reinterpreting the existing warmth and sense of togetherness of the brand. The company aims to boost interaction with more customers through a new visual identity that adds vitality and interactive elements while putting a new spin on the existing brand image.

In the digital space, the company’s symbol will come to life, engaging customers with a new level of expressiveness. The brand symbol, composed of the letters ‘L’ and ‘G,’ can perform eight unique motions, including nodding, spinning and winking. With its new capabilities, the brand symbol can greet customers with a friendly smile or move along with background music on digital platforms in a variety of witty ways.

In addition to its signature LG Red color, the company will be using the more energetic LG Active Red across all customer contact points. Also, various gradient elements in LG Active Red, white and black were also introduced, offering variety as they can be applied according to the unique characteristic of each product or service.

The company also designed a new typeface for its Life’s Good brand slogan, which will be used more widely as a brand asset in product packaging. Cleverly integrated into the typeface are shapes inspired by various LG products.

LG’s new brand strategy not only strengthens the company’s unique identity, but signals its willingness and capacity to evolve with generations, along with its unmatched commitment to innovating customer experiences all around the globe. The company plans to utilize its one-of-a-kind brand asset at all customer contact points globally throughout the year.

LG unveils Its new line-up of monitors

L
G Philippines
unveiled its new lineup of monitors and showcased its newest, powerful and most technologically advanced monitors in the recently Top Gun-themed event.

The LG 32GQ950, LG 48GQ900, 29MQ780-B, 29WP500, 32GN500, 27UP850-W, and the 27UN880-B were presented during the Top-Gun themed event, hosted by Andrei “Dreister” Felix.

According to Sungjae “Airboss” Kim, managing director for LG Philippines, the company remains committed to innovating and enhancing its monitor line-up to adapt to the needs of its consumers. He added,
“We’ve made great strides to elevate the user-experience of our monitors–from adapting to flexible workstations and upgrading our systems with new generation gaming standards.”
LG Electronics Philippines managing director Sungjae Kim (center) with the country’s influential content creators (L-R) Magic Liwanag, LA Tenorio, Gab Valenciano, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Eric Tai. The event was hosted by Andrei Felix (leftmost).

Meanwhile, the country’s most influential gamers, creatives and content creators attest to the power, image quality and versatility of LG’s latest monitor line-up.

Actor, TV host and #FitGamer, Eric “Eruption” Tai enjoyed the immersive race car gaming set-up during the event featuring the 32GQ950 OLED Monitor. He said, “The contrast is just amazing with the bright whites and the deep, dark blacks. It provides a truly immersive experience whether you’re gaming for hours on end or just relaxing and bingeing on series and movies. And, it’s also equipped with HDMI 2.1”. Eric was joined on stage by Jane Pactoranan - business development manager and she further explained that the LG UltraGear 32GQ950 boasts a 4K resolution on a 32-inch Nano IPS display alongside a rapid 144Hz refresh rate (O/C 160Hz) and swift 1ms (GtG) response time. It also has a VESA certified DisplayHDR 1,000 which means this display should offer a dynamic contrast with brighter whites and deeper blacks and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness.

Just the same, “PBA Ironman” LA Tenorio was impressed with LG’s marquee monitor, the 48GQ900 OLED, due to its size and impressive image quality. Equipped with the award-winning OLED technology with self-lit pixels, the 48GQ900 OLED monitor boasts of its immersive display and quick response time, ensuring its compatibility with next-gen consoles. The self-lit pixels also help keep response time incredibly fast according to Janille Umali, B2B marketing communications officer. The massive display of the monitor is designed to provide a better viewing experience like no other. It has anti-glare and low reflection technology built-in, ensuring that there are no distractions and you only focus on your game. This, of course, also helps reduce eye strain when used for long periods of time. Just like LA himself as one of the country’s formidable basketball pointguard, this monitor is as fast as they come. It has a 0.1 ms response time and 120hz speed. It can even be overclocked to 138Hz if you really want to push the envelope. This high speed reduces ghosting in games and helps objects render clearly and makes everything smooth and fluid. It has an ultra slim design that you can wall mount, or display in your living room, game room, or anywhere else. It also comes with its own remote control. When it comes to sound, this is no slouch either. It comes with two 20w speakers built-in. LA can chat with his teammates and gaming friends with 4-pole headphone outs and you can even be more immersive with the use of virtual 3D surround sound with DTS:Headphone X.

Music and lifestyle photographer “Magic” Liwanag, couldn’t help but agree with the product’s versatility, claiming that the LG Dual Up 28MQ780-B is a godsend for creatives like him. “The 16:18 aspect ratio and the freedom to swivel [the monitor] allows me to multitask in a completely different way,” he adds. Greg de Jesus, marketing communications officer for home entertainment expounded that the LG’s Ergo line is designed for these kind of users with this in mind as they get to work the way they want to. You can adjust the monitor by moving it forward or backwards, swiveling, rotating, tilting and more. Configure the setup any way you want to increase your productivity and immerse yourself in your work. It also offers DCI-P3 98%**—an elevated color spectrum that brings brilliant color to life and doesn’t hurt your eyes because of the ambient light sensor.

Gaming content creator, Myrtle “MyrtleGail” Sarrosa, was particularly drawn towards the 29WP500-B 29-inch, 21:9 UltraWide monitor saying, “What I love about this monitor is that even if ideally pang work siya, sobrang bilis pa rin for gaming.” She was joined by Ryan Nulud, IT monitor, sales and marketing manager and demonstrated how the monitor’s wide field of view is perfect for working from home or home learning. You can easily manage textbooks, lectures, conversations and searches in a single view and turn the wide screen into your favorite online classroom. The space is wide and expansive. It enables you to work with reports at a glance with datasheets and slides side by side without repeat Alt-tabbing. It also comes with AMD Free Sync and Dynamic Action Sync, which helps gamers by providing seamless, fluid movement in hi-resolution and fast-paced games. It virtually reduces screen tearing and stuttering.

Myrtle and Ryan was later joined by Gab “Viper” Valenciano, who is a tech geek and an avid LG monitor fan. He has been using LG monitors in his own studio for years now and was so ecstatic to try the LG UltraGear 32GN500 monitor with a flight simulator set-up to simulate a realistic Top Gun environment. He was thoroughly overwhelmed by the image quality and clear details that the LG UltraGear 32GN500 provides. “Aside from the solid features, the design is killer as well. It’s virtually borderless and looks good anywhere you put it, whether in the living room or your man cave. Two thumbs up for me.” He also noticed that blurring and ghosting is almost non-existent that he always thought was normal and unavoidable. Thanks to the monitor’s speed, you get fast and smooth gameplay. The 165Hz Refresh Rate and 1m MBR helps smoother gameplay, reducing blur and ghosting. It also has NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium for clearer, smoother and faster movement.

More content creators chime in on the enhanced image quality of LG monitors with Vikka “Lightning” Francisco of The Modern Creatures favoring the 27UP850-W 27-inch UHD 4K IPS and Isa “Pink” Rodriguez of Isa Does and the LITT website becoming fond of the 27UN880-B 27'' UHD 4K Ergo IPS Monitor for its efficient workspace set-up. She adds, “This monitor really helps you keep your workstation neat and clean with its one-click mount, c-clamp, easy cable management system, and its USB-C compatibility.”

LG Philippines also reaffirmed its commitment to help the community through its products and technologies through a large donation-in-kind of 30 LG UltraGear 32GN500 monitor units to the Naval Air Wing of the Philippine Fleet which they can use in their Operating Squadron Offices and Flight Briefing Stations, Command and Control Center, Operations Center, flight simulation rooms to display lectures, flight deck videos, flight performance briefing and debriefing, active weather information, flight monitoring information to further capacitate them in their performance of duties during Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance, Airborne ISR and Humanitarian and Disaster Response missions.

LG’s New Refrigerator Lineup Blends Smarts and Style

With the goal of offering a smarter experience for consumers, LG recently unveiled its new generation of refrigerators. The new lineup plays into LG’s vision of a smart, interconnected home. The new lineup boasts of smart features that retain fan-favorite innovations and improve on existing technologies. Even with all the features and new technology, the units are also elegantly designed to be sleek and compact to ensure a seamless integration for any home.

One of the major features for the new lineup is the LG ThinQ with wifi connectivity. LG's Smart Learning technology learns your patterns over a 3-week period to optimize everything from energy and cooling performance to energy consumption. With this technology, your fridge just got a lot smarter. A feature that uses this is Smart Fresh Air, which applies optimal food storage algorithms with usage pattern analysis. It minimizes inner temperature fluctuations with the intensive cooling logic two hours before frequent door opening times of users, based on the accumulated data on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis. Another new feature is Economic Care+, which optimizes energy use with customer usage pattern analysis. The compressor decides to turn into either “Save Mode” or “Power Mode” based on your refrigerator usage patterns, reducing wasted energy.
A popular mainstay of LG refrigerators is Linear Cooling. Enjoy the taste of crisp, fresh food thanks to reduced temperature fluctuations. LG Linear Cooling makes temperature fluctuations stay within ±0.5℃ and provides freshness for the first time longer than the normal cooling algorithm. Your food is preserved at peak freshness for up to 7 days.

Another major function is Door Cooling. Food stays fresh and drinks get ice cold on any shelf with even and faster-cooling performance. LG’s exclusive Door Cooling technology cools quicker than a conventional cooling system for fresher food and colder beverages on every shelf.

Upgrade to the smarter choice today and get LG’s latest refrigerators. You can purchase LG refrigerators from authorized dealers nationwide and in LG’s online flagship stores in Lazada and Shopee.

Even as the storms have passed, a lot of Filipinos are still reeling from being ravaged by typhoon Rolly and Ulysses. Communities have been displaced with people losing their homes, leaving them with no shelter and no place to go. LG Philippines
has remained steadfast in their resolves to always heed the call for help. The South Korean technology innovator has partnered with groups on the ground in order to hastily offer assistance. For the typhoon victims from Rizal and Bulacan, LG PH closely collaborated with Walang Maiiwanan PH and JCI Ortigas Inc. to provide help with the community. LG Home Entertainment – A Perfect Match

LG’s self-lit pixel technology in their newest line of OLED and NanoCell TVs has been the talk of the town in home entertainment circles and cinemaphile groups worldwide. See firsthand what the buzz is all about as LG Philippines offers a special bundle for the local market to get a taste of the brand’s best TV yet. LG OLED TV and NanoCell TV both boast new innovations that offer a vivid theatrical palette that’s bursting with rich color, perfect for spending an extended amount of time at home.

Pair your 2020 LG OLED TV with LG XBoom PL speakers for an unparalleled cinematic experience

LG OLED CX takes movies, TV shows, and gaming to a different level.

Packed with 4K resolution and even deeper shades of black, you'll enjoy every minute of your entertainment. The secret behind picture quality is display technology. Backlit LCD/LED TVs pass light through a filter to show colors on the actual display — that interference causes distortion. LG OLED TVs have self-lit pixels that illuminate one by one to ensure richness of color and contrast without interference. Thanks to this, realism is brought to a whole new level. This lets you see every color, detail, and texture, even in almost pitch black scenes. Even as families spend extended amounts of time at home, LG OLED CX TV is Eye Comfort Display certified, surpassing industry standards for blue light, flicker, and high-quality imaging. LG’s newest line of OLED TVs are equipped with an α9 Gen3 AI Processor that automatically analyzes the on-screen content to deliver content as its most immersive, adapting accordingly to bring you the best viewing experience possible.

To upgrade your audio experience, LG OLEDCX TV is best paired with LG XBoom Go PL7 speakers. This portable, Bluetooth speaker lets you enjoy premium sound thanks to its Meridian advanced audio technology. LG teamed up with Meridian—the leader in high-resolution audio—for powerful bass and clear vocals with less distortion even at the highest volume. This combination provides a cinematic experience like no other. The Bluetooth connection gives you a minimalist cable-free home theater setup. The battery holds a 24-hour charge, ensuring an interruption-free experience. To up the ante even further, you can connect up to 100 LG speakers for one massive, immersive sound.

LG NanoCell TV delivers a Real 4K experience full of Pure Color. Its AI ThinQ technology works overtime to deliver upgraded images. LG NanoCell TV, equipped with a Quad core processor, eliminates noise and creates more dynamic color and contrast. Low-resolution images are up-scaled and reproduced at close to 4K quality images. The NanoCell TV’s Pure Color turns your home into the movie theater thanks to intense contrast, giving movies a new depth. This is made possible thanks to NanoCell Technology that applies nanoparticles, creating and purifying colors by filtering out dull colors and enhancing the purity of the RGB spectrum. In addition, it delivers optimized visuals and sound for a spectacular, more lifelike experience.

To complete the cinematic experience, LG NanoCell80 TV is best used with LG XBoom PL5 speakers. This small Bluetooth speaker can fill a whole room with clear, crisp sound as it packs a big punch with 20 watts of power and stereophonic sound. The wireless Bluetooth connection completes its slim silhouette. Binge all you want as the battery lasts up to 18 hours of continuous use. The premium Meridian audio combines with dual passive radiators for rich bass that you can feel even across the room. The XBoom PL5 comes with four high-quality EQ modes, including Sound Boost which gives deep and intense bass for an exciting and impactful sound.

For a complete immersive experience, link up to 100 LG speakers with the use of Wireless Party Link. Should you choose to host a party at home or just want to exercise by yourself, the LG XBoom PL5 has flashing LED lights that accurately sync to the beat of your music to create a pulsing light show for any song.

As a special introductory offer for both TVs, will be offering the Perfect Match Bundle Promo for the whole month of October. LG OLED 55” TV, LG’s Nano 55”, and Nano 49” will get a sizable discount from its original price. Not only that, each purchase of an LG NanoCell 80 will receive a free LG XBoom PL5 while each purchase of an LG OLED CX will get a complimentary LG XBoom PL7. This special promotion will run from October 1-31, and will be available in selected LG retail partners nationwide.

With LG, staying at home has never been more fulfilling.

LG Makes its Mark in Mindanao

LG Electronics, in keeping with its tradition of giving back to the community, recently paid a visit to The House of Hope in Davao.

The House of Hope Foundation, located inside the Southern Philippines Medical Center compound (SPMC), is a charitable group that provides temporary shelter to children with cancer. SPMC is the only hospital in the whole of Mindanao that offers free cancer treatment to children. Since a large majority of its patients are indigent families with no place to stay while they are undergoing treatment, the House of Hope provides a sanctuary for them.

On March 28, 2019, LG Philippines visited the brave families of the House of Hope. LG brought with them donations in-kind to improve the quality of life of the House of Hope’s residents. This includes over 27,000 various personal care products such as body wash, soap and toothpaste items, 5 43” Full HD TVs, 28 Dual Inverter Airconditioning units, 2 Top Load Washing Machines, and 2 Side by Side Refrigerators. The donations hope to help in making the environment conducive to the children’s recovery. LG Electronics Philippines Managing Director Inkwun Heo led the team that visited the children in Davao. “LG remains committed in creating social impact and being agents for change. These brave children serve as our inspiration. We hope that through our small gesture, we are able to enhance their quality of life”.

Giving back to the community has always been the heart of LG’s core values. Earlier this month, LG also partnered up with Emcor to conduct a small series of medical missions in Mindanao. Dubbed as #LGFamilyFunDay, these pocket events held in Koronadal in South Cotabato, Digos in Davao, and San Francisco in Butuan, gave out free full physical and optical check-ups to the members of the community during the morning. In the afternoon, special activities were held for children, such as coloring sessions, an LG inflatable castle, and even a dedicated Netflix viewing area, making it a fun-filled family affair that’s not to be missed.

LG Electronics Philippines managing director Mr. Inkwun Heo officially handed over to Dr. Mae Concepcion Dolendo, program director of House of Hope Foundation the 3 Million worth of LG products in a simple turnover ceremony held in Southern Philippines Medical Center, Davao City.

LG Signature brings a new level of uniqueness, function and style to upgrade the consumer experience

Design, which is a combination of functionality, innovation, uniqueness and style is the most important process in building great products—and design thinking the best approach. Design thinking applies creative and technical thinking to the development of a product, drawing from the designer’s toolkit to integrate the needs of consumers and the possibilities of technology.

Paying special attention to patterns of customer behavior is key to the successful development of new products. The most imaginative companies are now engaging in conversations with consumers, tapping into their minds and comportments to co-create products, solutions and user experiences that are truly resonant and relevant to their lifestyles.

This consumer-oriented approach to design is the principle behind LG Signature, a collection of intuitive home appliances that advocate an authentic lifestyle in which cutting-edge technology, smart functionality, and ergonomic design co-exist harmoniously. This ultra-premium line gives customers a unique living experience in terms of innovation and usability, at the same time allowing the home to evolve into a multifunctional space for living, working and socializing.

Fusing sophisticated technology with contemporary minimalist style, each LG Signature premium product is thoughtfully designed to be visually captivating, while delivering the most elegantly curated, state-of-the-art experience. There’s the ultra-thin picture-on-glass LG OLED TV W8, which takes the immersive viewing and listening experience to the next level with ThinQ, LG’s artificial intelligence (AI) platform. ThinQ allows users to issue basic function-related, voice-activated commands to the TV, involving volume control, internet access and image settings. This smart TV is also buoyed by the new α (Alpha) 9 processor, which provides the highest picture quality, but with improved color performance and noise reduction. The W8 also supports Dolby VisionTM and Atmos for a more cinematic home entertainment experience.

Also combining function with timeless style is the LG Signature Refrigerator, the LG Signature Washing Machine, and the LG Signature Air Purifier (all three are not available in the Philippines). These beautifully crafted appliances offer impeccable performance and peerless design right down to the smallest detail. The highly stylish LG Signature refrigerator has an InstaView Door-in-Door feature which enables users to rap on a black-mirrored panel and see what is inside the fridge without opening the door, thus helping conserve energy. Stainless steel interiors help maintain cold air, and combined with a textured steel, scratch-resistant finish, provide a stunning design.

The beautifully designed LG Signature Air Purifier is also done in stainless steel, a durable shell that houses advanced features that can harness the power of water to filter out dust, chemicals and contaminants while quickly adjusting humidity levels to maximize comfort.

Even the washing machine, often relegated to the very back of the house or in the laundry room, is given the luxe treatment. A sleek matte enamel coating protects the surface of the washing machine from scratches and corrosion, while a touch-enabled Quick Circle User Interface is embedded on the the glass door for a seamless look. Function-wise the washer has an ingenious TWINWash systems that allows for two loads to be put on simultaneously or smaller loads to be done more frequently.

True design happens when it makes life easier, more convenient and more comfortable. The needs of consumers continue to evolve every day. LG is taking the time to understand what matters most to its consumers, continuing to develop products that are built around the lives people lead — and the lives they want to live.
