In partnership with Shopify and PLDT Home Biz, Maya Business presents "Scale Up: The Show," the newest local series featuring 15 Filipino entrepreneurs going head-to-head for a chance to break out and ramp up their business.

Viewers will be treated to the amazing journey of the founders of Tatumi Arts and Crafts, Dimension Artisan Chocolate, Diwa Leather Crafts, AnthroServ Inc., RDC Convenience Store, Extreme Car Wash and Detailing, Jhopay Curbi Salon, Justine Kent B. Faustino (fitness supplements brand), The Art of Mar (stationery shop), Oh La. La. Crepe Cakes, Le Petit Bouquet Manille, Cactus and Canvas PH, Klik Media Group, GFF Bath Essentials, Ili Likhaan Ceramics.

In every episode, these inspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present and get valuable advice from business mentors Boozy Co-Founder & CEO Miguel Guerrero, Tiny Buds Co-founder Lorin Tan, and Maya Chief Marketing Officer Pepe Torres.

Among the 15 entrepreneurs, five will be chosen as finalists and they will be granted P150,000 seed capital. From the five finalists, the Scale Up winner will receive the grand prize of P500,000, together with mentorship and support from Maya Business.

Baby Shark’ comes to PH for the first time

Baby Shark’s simple “Do Rut Dut Dut Dut Do Do” song, believe it or not, has been played over 3,700,000,000 times. (3.7 billion times as per You Tube). Why?

If You are a recent Mom, Pop, Grandpa or Grandma you’ll know what this means and the good thing about it is, it will be performed for the first time in the Philippines by non-other than the guys behind it themselves led by Pink Fong.

Pink Fong is the sly Pink Fox in the story. The story revolves around the loss of Baby Shark and the recurring missteps of the entire Shark family till they employ the services of the all magical Pink Fong. Of course, included in story is the whole Shark family singing the ever so popular sing-along of Baby Shark. 

This “Baby Shark” special has been touring the world since last year (2018) and this is the first time they come to the Philippines, under the auspices of Circles Entertainment, organizer.

Baby Shark will only appear four times. Twice on December 21 2PM and 5PM and December 22 2PM and 5PM at the Theater in Solaire.

Rewind the hands of time in a major #throwback concert to usher in the new year! 90’s Dance Concert: Panahon Ko ‘To, a night of grooves and nonstop dance moves, awaits you this January 31, 2020 at the ABS CBN Vertis Tent, Quezon City from 6 P.M. onwards. 

This Flashback Friday night is presented  by JS Management Co. and SOL Aces Unlimited Co. and directed by renowned dance choreographer, Miggy Tanchanco.

Panahon Ko ‘To is the Philippines’ first ever dance concert headlined by 3 of your favorite 90’s dance icons - Universal Motion Dancers/UMD (Wowie de Guzman, James Salas, Jim Salas, Gerry Oliva, Marco McKinley, and Norman Santos), Streetboys (Vhong Navarro, Danilo Barrios, Chris Cruz, and Nicko Manalo), and Manoeuvres (Joshua Zamora, Jason Zamora, Michael Flores, Jon Supan, Reden Cruz, Jhon Cruz, and Rene Sagaran).

These phenomenal groups are joined by almost 100 talented dancers including members from  Xpeople, Kidz at Work, Abztract Dancers, Black & White,  Big Brothers, Regal Hitmen, BMG Dancers, KATZ22, Octobeat Culture, SOP Dancers, Different Colors and many more!

Nonoy Zuñiga Through the Years Concert at RWM on March 13

Do you remember some hits songs like "Doon Lang," "Kumusta ka" "Magandang Gabi and "Never Ever Said Goodbye"? 

Pop Icon and Hitmaker Nonoy Zuñiga  will stage “Nonoy Zuñiga Through The Years” on March 13, 2019 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila.

The show landmarks Nonoy’s commitment to seriously support fresh talents in the music industry. It’s his pay-it-forward thing for his 45 years as a singer of much-loved songs.

Nonoy Zuñiga’s singing career spans more than 3 decades, as a folk singer from 1971 to 1975 and then as one of the lead singers of the Family Birth Control Band which performed in venues like Philippine Plaza, Holiday Inn, and the Manila Hotel from 1975 – 1980. All his performances in the United States from 1983 to the present are well-acclaimed. He has also performed in various countries such as Australia, Japan, South Korea, China and New Zealand.

Some of  Zuñiga songs are “Doon Lang”, “Kamusta Ka?”, “Magandang Gabi”, and “Never Ever Said Goodbye”.

As some friends call him Doc,  Zuñiga is also a Doctor of Medicine graduate from University of Sto Tomes. Being a skincare specialist, together with a professional esthetician, Ms. Sylvia Cancio who owns Piel Acne and Skin Clinic in New Year they established Piel Skincare Center in Cebu City. At present Nonoy enjoys his life traveling Las Vegas (where his children reside) to Manila and Cebu City managing Peil Skincare Center.

Upcoming talent Jessel Kempis will have an “introducing” billing at the milestone concert of  Zuñiga. Think she’s too shy to make a name as a professional singer, but then it doesn’t take her long to warm up to people and to begin telling anecdotes about their life and her parents.

Jeselle reveals “I am trained pop singer. I’ve been training since chilhood and singing in private events. It has hardly occured to me taht I can perform in a professional concert for which people have to buy tickets. I’m both happy and nervous to perform at “Nonoy Zuñiga Through The Years”.

The concert’s seasoned guest are South Border, Nyoy Volante, and Mitch Valdez, with Andrew de Real as stage director and Bobby Gomez as musical director with the Brothers Unlimited.
