MIRROR MIRROR – The Snow White Legend Comes Alive !

A reimagining of the classic fairy tale starring Oscar winner Julia Roberts as the Queen, Lily Collins as Snow White, Armie Hammer as Prince Alcott, Sean Bean as the King and Nathan Lane as the Queen's hapless and bungling servant, Brighton. An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright.

A dark twist on the classic fairy tale, in which Snow White and the seven dwarfs look to reclaim their destroyed kingdom. When Snow White’s beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits. Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen. With the support of her subjects, she roars into action in an epic battle that blends spectacle, magic and contemporary humor in Tarsem Singh’s signature, jaw-dropping visual style.

Mirror Mirror is a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale.The film is directed by Tarsem Singh.  The stars Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as an exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright and Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts as an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, in a magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.  The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane (The Birdcage) as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen.

Rounding out the cast are: Sean Bean (HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King), Mare Winningham (Brothers) as Baker Margaret, Michael Lerner (Elf) as Baron and Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), Jordan Prentice (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), Danny Woodburn (Watchmen), Sebastian Saraceno (Bedtime Stories), Ronald Lee Clark (Epic Movie), Martin Klebba (Pirates of The Caribbean) and Joey Gnoffo (The Benchwarmers) as the Seven Dwarfs.

The film’s producers are Bernie Goldmann (300), Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter), and Brett Ratner (Rush Hour franchise).The script was written by Melisa Wallack (Meet Bill) and Jason Keller (Machine Gun Preacher).

Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' is certified Platinum in the Philippines

International Pop Star Katy Perry finished the success of her CALIFORNIA DREAMS Concert Tour in the Philippines where she sashayed her massive tunes in a blue wig, peacock feathers and all that glitz and glamorous outfit and started 2012 with a firework. However, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter has truly gotten her gift from her Pinoy fans because her ‘Teenage Dream’ album has finally been certified platinum in the Philippines.

Handed out by Polyeast Records led by it’s Operations Manager Mr. Jesmon Chua, the official licensee of EMI Music International in the country, Katy Perry accepted her platinum award after her show last January 22, 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. EMI Music and Polyeast Records are also delighted to announce that after three years of Katy chart dominance, second album‘Teenage Dream spawned a record-breaking five #1 singles on the Hot 100 and earned Katy Perry the title of being the only female artist to achieve that feat as she matched Michael Jackson’s similar historic accomplishment with his ‘Bad’ album in 1988. The latest single “The One That Got Away” might also have a chance to the first six Hot 100 chart-toppers and a possibility to break Michael Jackson’s record.

Bringing the total hauls to more than 30, 000 copies sold in the Philippines, songs that did it for Teenage Dream ’were the radio-favourite “Teenage Dream”,”T.G.I.F. (Last Friday Night),” which joined “California Gurls,” the title track, “Firework” and “E.T.” on Katy’s hit parade. The sugary pop princess first graced Manila in November 2009with a sold-out concert performing her peppy, irresistible songs from the debut album “One of The Boys.”

Recently, ‘Teenage Dream’ was nominated at the 2011 Grammy Awards ceremony for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Katy Perry has also been nominated  for three American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year.

Myrus in one of his Mall Tours

I know that happiness is always with me, what goes on around me in my life...and it goes around wherever I go! In one of my mall walks I accidentally, unexpectedly meet my friends. It's almost one year not meeting friends, close friends and work mates. One Saturday afternoon in a mall in Manila I just hear someone hosting in an event, a familiar voice. Seeing my friend Chris in the stage introducing Myrus Apacible, my friend whom I used to call "anak", he used calling me "Nay." This is Myrus, the Sentimental Prince of Philippine Music, in one of his Mall Tours.

Myrus, who was discovered through a social networking site. Born to a musically inclined family, Myrus is conquering the music scene with his gift of singing and entertaining people. Always exploring different music genres, he has developed his own style and mesmerizes his audience through his dancing and enticing rhythms.

He has made a mark in the music scene with the help of his mega hit single "sayang," It is a revival of Claire dela Fuente's hit song three decades ago.

His previous album "Love Cycle" and its repackaged version are Certified Gold Records by Sony Music. He is also a dedicated advocate of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and is the project head of the “Tunog Natin” all-OPM concert series.

He is promoting the Tunog Natin "Songs From Home" compilation album and his carrier single, "Pusong Lito." He performed OPM songs beautifully. He sang "Sayang, Tell me Your Name, Kanlungan, Closer You and I, Forevermore, and his Pusong Lito.
