The 6th Boracay International Dragon Boat Festival will be held onApril 26 – 28, 2012. This is a fun-filled event incorporating the dragon boat spirit of sportsmanship and great international camaraderie. The Festival is supported by the Philippine Department of Tourism and the Municipality of Malay as well as sanctioned and officiated by the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation.
There are various race categories to participate in. Festival program includes parade welcome cocktails and opening ceremony with the parade of teams and the traditional dotting of the “eye of the dragon” and a most enjoyable awards dinner and farewell party for all participants.
Dragon boating was first introduced in Boracay 2001. Since then, annual competitions had been held in its pristine blue waters. In 2004, the Boracay Island Paddlers Association (BIPA) was incorporated with the main task of promoting Boracay as a sports destination with dragon boat racing as its main sport.
1st Boracay International Dragon Boat Festival in 2007 and since then the races have become an annual event in Boracay. The success of every year's dragon boat races has made the event the biggest international annual sporting event in the Philippines bringing participants from around the world.

Accommodation Package
Special accommodation packages with partner resorts are available for all teams participating in the 2012 races. Packages available upon request.
Team
24 members comprising 18 paddlers, 4 reserves, 1 drummer & 1 steerer. Team name list and 2 coloured 2”x2” photos of every member to be submitted on or before 31 March 2012.
Registration fee: P1500/person
