Philippine's 1st Traditional Javanese Massage Beauty Centre Establishment

Enjoy the healthy body benefits of massage. It is much more than a temporary escape. It is an opportunity to nurture a healthier lifestyle and promote healing and wellness. You are sure to feel refreshed and calming your mind and rejuvenating your body.

Rejunenate, pamper yourself and relax at this newly open centre.

Singapore's House of Traditional Javanese Massage & Beauty Care Center is now in Manila. The first authentic and largest Traditional Javanese Massage establishment in Singapore since 1999 (with 8 branches in Singapore) proudly presents its first branch in Manila, Philippines.
The "House of Traditional Javanese Massage and Beauty Care" with an area of about 330 square meters, its Bali-inspired ambience invites spa-lovers to experience a “resort like” feeling inside this spa. All materials used during its construction came from Indonesia and Singapore.
And it is true that everyone who enters the spa gets the feeling of being “away from the city”. The front desk consultants wearing the attractive “kebaya” (a traditional blouse-dress combination that originates from Indonesia and worn by women in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Burma, Singapore, southern Thailand, also worn by Singapore Airlines’ flight attendants) will tour you around, making you wonder at how meticulously built the spa was. Try the skilled hands of the therapists well-trained by Indonesian and Singaporean trainers, definitely another edge over competitors.
What’s unique about the House of Traditional Javanese Massage and Beauty Care is that it offers not only authentic Javanese Massage (Indonesian massage) for the whole family, sportsmen, executives, young and elderly (providing a various selection of Massage Lotion Cream and Traditional Herbal Ointment for individual needs) but also other various traditional treatments:
* Aromatic Javanese Full Body Massage - Indonesian style of body massage using deep pressure with aromatic or essential oils instead of the traditional Javanese oil.

*Massage Cupping/Ventosa – Body is massaged using partial vacuum cups created by heat into the acupressure point instead of applying thumb pressure.

*Toxin Release - Ginger treatment or wrap using freshly pounded ginger thread and juice wrapped in the body for 30 minutes; good for colds and allergy relief, detoxification and promotes good blood circulation and relaxation.

*Traditional Foot Reflexology - Massage from feet to the knee, concentrating on the reflexology points leading to the internal organs and body systems

*Pre-Natal Body Massage - Gentle massage for pregnant women from 4th month onwards (or after the first trimester) lying down sideways, focusing mainly on the legs, upper back and shoulders; relieves stress, muscle pains and cramps; a good form of relaxation for pregnant women.

*Post-Natal Body Massage - Traditional Javanese full body massage after birth with application of Indonesian herbs “pillis” for the head , “tepal wangi” for the tummy, “beras kanchur” for arms, shoulders and legs; Helps mothers get back in shape, prevents headaches/migraine, relieves feeling of tiredness, gives warming effect on the body and improves blood circulation. This treatment can be done right after giving birth for normal delivery, and 6 weeks after Caesarian operation.

*Princess V - “Fogging” vaginal area using special Indonesian herbs in a sitting position on our Traditional Princess V Chair; Helps contract uterus, reduce excessive white discharge and eliminates unpleasant odor and wetness

*Traditional Boreh Treatment (Herbal Body Mask) - Applying Indonesian "Boreh" herbs on the whole body for 30 minutes , then Javanese Massage after shower; Helps relieve stress, muscle pain, and headache; Improves blood circulation, removes dead cells and moisturizes the skin.

The Volcanoes whip UAE during the Asian 5 Nations Rugby Championship

Congratulations to the Philippine Volcanoes for winning their game against the UAE during the Asian 5 Nations Rugby Championship, Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines.
The Volcanoes, the Philippine rugby team came up with a brave, battling game to smother the United Arab Emirates, 24-8, held at Rizal Memorial Stadium Saturday night. The Volcanoes whip UAE, keep its spot in the HSBC Asian Five Nations elite group at least until next year.
The Volcanoes, who made their debut in the division this year, won for the first time after dropping matches against champion Japan, Hong Kong and Korea in their first three assignments.
This proved that Filipinos can play rugby. The Volcanoes  are a force in Asia being in the top five and I really believe that we deserve to be here. The victory installed the Philippines as No. 4 in the continent.
The night with about 5,700 spectators , the biggest attendance ever in a rugby game held in the Philippines showed up and the majority of them expatriates who cheered both sides.
Thanks FILA Philippines for giving us, tri-media people the chance to witness the first, live great championship rugby game here in  our country! This is one experience of being inside the game, with full of excitement and cheers!

2013 is the year of running for Adidas

Gear up for all in for Philippines, adidas King Of The Road 2013. This is for health and wellness through sports. And for bigger run features, KOTR is here for all in for your Alma Mater.

Last February, adidas launched Energy Boost, a groundbreaking innovation in running footwear technology featuring superior cushioning that allows runners to store and unleash energy more efficiently with every stride.
To continue their efforts for all things running, adidas is back with its annual King of The Road (KOTR), one of the most anticipated races across Southeast Asia. This year, adidas is pushing the limits for KOTR to be even bigger than before as it opens a new category exclusively for students 25 years old and under.

The 10K Relay for Students is set specifically to encourage the youth to get into a healthy, active lifestyle and to give them a chance to represent their alma mater. Students need to team up in pairs – one male and one female – with each running 5K to complete the total 10K distance. Winners don’t just get individual cash prizes; they will also win prizes for their schools.

Jason Gervasio, Brand Communications and Sports Marketing Manager of Adidas Philippines, said that “adidas has always been an advocate of health and wellness through sports. The King of the Road is a testament to that fact.”

“The new School Championship category aims not only to promote fitness, but also to inspire teamwork and pride as students are given the chance to be ambassadors of their respective campuses.”

The adidas KOTR 2013 will be held on July 7, 2013 at Bonifacio Global City. Apart from the School Championship category, the race will include distances of 10K for the general public and 16.8K with Open and Closed categories.
