Simple tips to have a healthy, toxin free summer body

Summer is here, summer break and summer fun! A great time for making this your healthiest summer, a healthy, toxin free summer body.

Here are some simple tips for getting your body in shape this summer season.

Be positive

Think positive. Think good thoughts. Having greatful attitude is going to determine how you're going to live your life. Positive attitude helps build a healthier immune system and boosts overall health. Motivate yourself and think of a health goal that you really care about to work towards.

Get Active

Physical activity can help you to maintain weight loss or be a healthy weight. Exercise. Exercise, everytime you want or to stretch out your body. Being active doesn’t have to mean hours at the gym. You can find ways to fit more activity into your daily life.

Eat Healthy and Balance Diet

Eat fruits and vegetable, more fish, cut down on saturated fat and sugar, less salt. . .  Just take a wide range of foods to ensure that you’re getting a balanced diet and that your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs. Learn to love salads, fresh fruit and colorful veggies. Find healthy foods you love and incorporate them into your diet.

Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important part of maintaining good health, and can help you feel your best.

Drink Water ... always

Water makes up almost 75% of our body and is absolutely necessary for life. Water is the elixir of life, it we cannot exist.

There are plenty of health benefits of drinking water. Drinking water makes us feel good. Start your day with a glass of fresh drinking water.

This is also in addition to the fluid we get from the food we eat. All non-alcoholic drinks count, but water and lower-fat milk are healthier choices. When the weather is warm, or when we get active, we may need more fluids. Drink and drink water to stop us getting dehydrated. Keep bottles of water around or carry a reusable bottle everywhere with you as a reminder to keep drinking.

Whether you’re trying to lose weight or you simply want to look and feel healthier, one of the best ways to rid your body of harmful toxins is to drink water.

And try for healthier options

Most people think diet and exercise spell instant perfect health. While fitness activities and low fat diet can control weight gain, it is equally important to release wastes and toxins from the body.

Unhealthy diet and lifestyle can hamper the efficiency of the body’s digestive system. Instead of flushing out wastes it stays in the colon and in time, it can block the body’s natural detoxification process.

Located in the large intestines the colon performs an important function of absorbing nourishment from digested food. Nutrients like water, electrolytes and vitamins, are sent back to the body for better regeneration. The colon is also responsible for keeping the body safe from harmful toxins.

Body waste accumulation can result from lack of exercise, low water intake, too much processed meat, sugar and carbohydrates in the diet, carbonated drinks, alcohol, and caffeine and believe it or not—stress. Wastes that stay in the body longer can lead to hormonal imbalance, insomnia, constipation, acne diarrhea, fatigue and other related illnesses.

The best way to keep the colon healthy is to regularly cleanse it from harmful wastes.

Zen Medical Institute recommends colonics therapy for better digestive function.

Zen Medical Institute, medical science, creativity & aesthetics come together to reveal your beauty from inside out.

Known for its holistic approach that combines medical science, aesthetics and creativity, the programs and treatments offered at Zen are performed by licensed medical practitioners.

Colonics is recommended for those who wish to improve their digestive function for a healthier and sexier body. The cleansing procedure is called peristalsis. A small hose (very small only .5 cm) attached to a hydrotherapy machine is placed in the rectum and flushes out waste with warm water

Apart from improved digestion, colonics refreshes the entire body system. With the toxins eliminated, the body now feels light and relaxed. The mind is also cleared from stress, giving the skin a youthful glow.

Dr. MJ Torres, head physician and owner of Zen Institute recommends colonics for weight management. "Regular sessions can help the body lose as much as 20 lbs in 21 days. Each session lasts between 50-60 minutes.

Even those who are relatively healthy will find the treatment beneficial for flushing toxins. "If you are really conscious about your body it is recommended that you have it four times a year. If you do not get enough fiber from vegetables, drink a lot of alcohol, basically unhealthy diet and lifestyle, then you should have it more often,' she said."

Colonics also encourages the growth of good bacteria that easily boosts the immune system.

The Zen Institute is located at 69 Scout Rallos St., Tomas Morato, Quezon City (02-441-1712/02-412-2528); Ground Floor, Bonifacio Technology Center, 31st St., Corner 2nd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (02-856-2027); and at the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, Maharlika Highway, Bgy. 2, Sto.Tomas, Batangas (+43-778-4811).

Amaia Land celebrates 5th year of providing quality homes to more Filipinos

Aiming to help hardworking Filipino families have a house they can call their own, Amaia Land continues making those dreams come true as the company celebrates its 5th year in the industry.

Amaia celebrates its fifth year of providing Filipino families quality yet affordable homes in an event last Feb. 6 at the Acacia Hotel Manila.

Amaia was borne out of the vision of its mother company, Ayala Land (ALI), to broaden its residential product line to cater to the wider Philippine population. In 2010, this came into fruition with the incorporation of Amaia Land and its subsequent launch of the first Amaia Scapes economic housing project, thereby reinforcing ALI’s thrust of “enhancing land, enriching lives for more people.”

(From L-R: Francis Mallari, Amaia Land Human Resource Department Head; Bobby Dy, Ayala Land President and CEO; Ricky Celis, Amaia Land President; Nikie Lingad, Amaia Land Project Strategic Management Group Head; Petes Gamboa, Innovation and Design Group Head)

The company’s maiden project, Amaia Scapes Laguna established Amaia as a competitive brand in the real estate industry. Amaia’s “Scapes” house-and-lot product line, which now consists of 16 communities, has revolutionized the economic housing segment. Some features that homeowners love about the community are its cluster type development, patio greens and full complement of shared amenities. Meanwhile, housing units are sought after for their attractive facades, modern design and efficient space planning.

In 2011, Amaia launched its condominium product lines: the mid-rise Amaia “Steps” and high-rise Amaia “Skies”. Amaia Steps now boasts a total of nine communities. These homes are ideal for those who aspire for bigger living spaces within city limits. Meanwhile, there are now four Amaia Skies developments, which offer private abodes for urban dwellers and on-the-go working individuals desiring a balanced work-play lifestyle.

Amaia Scapes San Fernando promises a dream home within your reach.

Last year, Amaia introduced Amaia “Series”, a pure townhouse development designed for families with growing need for space, and Amaia “Square”, shophouses made for entrepreneurs who want their home and store in one convenient address.

The village patio of Amaia Scapes San Fernando is where families can do recreational activities.

So far, Amaia has served over 12,000 families across the country. The brand is present in key locations in North Luzon (Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Urdaneta), Metro Manila (Quezon City, Paranaque, Manila, Caloocan, Pasig, Mandaluyong and soon Las Pinas), South Luzon (Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Quezon and soon Bicol) and the Visayas (Bacolod, Cebu and soon Iloilo). This year, it will venture to CDO, Mindanao. Homes are made affordable by easy-on-the-pocket paying options such as cash, deferred, bank financing, Pag-ibig and in-house financing.

Amaia Scapes San Pablo offers an affordable yet picturesque home in Laguna.

The company opened a significant numer of jobs for Filipinos including a 17,000-man sales force in 18 growth centers and sales offices nationwide. Its online followers has soared and includes over 500,000 facebook fans, propelling the brand’s dominance in the digital platform.

Amaia Scapes San Pablo is a horizontal development situated in Brgy. San Lucas 2—a site that gives homeowners a picturesque environment.
“Our fifth year anniversary marks Amaia’s success over the years and the company’s mission in the years to come,” says Amaia Land president Ricky Celis. “We will continue to contribute to nation building by serving thousands of families with quality yet affordable homes in more locations nationwide.”

Family Comes First : GSK pushes for more quality time with the family with five times faster (Paracetamol) Panadol

http://www.myrnaroman.com/2015/04/family-comes-first-gsk-pushes-for-more.html
One of the Panadol advocates the importance of having pain-free moments with loved ones, and sharing this message together with Panadol is father/athlete/host Ryan Agoncillo. The brand trusted all over the world puts the power to take away the pain in your hands with fast-acting (Paracetamol), for quicker recovery and more time for the ones you love, provides fast-acting pain relief, helping Filipinos improve their day to day lives.

There are unlimited and endless reasons why family always comes first. The best reason is Health. For Filipinos, family comes first, that is why when pain strikes, quality time with the family is the first to suffer.

http://www.myrnaroman.com/2015/04/family-comes-first-gsk-pushes-for-more.html
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the global leading healthcare company is committed to improving the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longe with (paracetamol) Panadol as the world’s trusted pain reliever, sold in more than 85 countries.

Panadol with Optizorb is a type of paracetamol caplet that works five times faster than regular formulation. It contains the same amount of paracetamol (500 mg) found in Panadol, so you can feel confident in its ability to relieve pain such as headache and fever.

 Ryan Agoncillo
“Seven out of 10 Filipinos suffer from regular headaches. The time wasted on dealing with this kind of pain should have been better spent on more important things like quality time with the family,” says Jeoffrey Yulo, General Manager – Consumer Healthcare, GSK Philippines. “This dilemma encourages GSK to continue providing a fast and effective solution like Panadol to pain sufferers. What makes Panadol with Optizorb truly different from other branded and generic paracetamol products is that it is the only product to contain Optizorb®, which has revolutionized the way paracetamol tablets are dispersed in the body, so it allows paracetamol to reach the bloodstream more quickly and be carried to where it acts to fight pain, five times faster.”

This year, Panadol brings more focus to help take away the pain for faster recovery and more super moments with the ones you love. Bringing this life-affirming message to the fore is father/athlete/host Ryan Agoncillo, together with his son Lucho. Ryan is known to be a dedicated father to his children – Yohan and Lucho – and spends as much time as he can with his family.

As a sportsman who is into motorcycles and triathlons, Ryan is no stranger to aches and pain. But he doesn’t let any kind of discomfort like headache get in the way of a quality time with his equally energetic son, making their moments together pain-free. But whenever pain or headache strikes, he puts his trust on Panadol. And like a true superhero, he has the power of quick recovery in the eyes of his son.
http://www.myrnaroman.com/2015/04/family-comes-first-gsk-pushes-for-more.html

“My family is my top priority. Even if I get busy with work and my other pursuits, I make sure that I get to spend quality with my wife and my kids. But, sometimes, because of my workload, I suffer from terrible headaches,” Ryan relates. “Fortunately, there’s Panadol. It offers fast relief to make my super moments with my family pain-free! Indeed, when pain is gone, life takes its place.”

(Paracetamol) Panadol® with Optizorb® comes in 36 x 10s dispenser box and a 10s pack. Each tablet has an SRP of PHP 4.00 and is available at all leading drugstores nationwide.

Repertory Philippines launches Run For Your Wife

As part of its 2015 lineup, Repertory Philippines launches Run For Your Wife, a sexy comedy written by Ray Cooney. Since its launch in 1983 at London’s West End, it had a successful nine year run in the UK. After that, the show has been staged most notably in New York, Paris, Stockholm, and Manila.

Run For Your Wife trails John Smith, a taxi driver in London who has two wives: one in Streatham and another in Wimbledon. After he gets mugged and winds up in the hospital, the police department from each district calls Mrs. Smith: Mary Smith and Barbara Smith.

The show has been praised for its hilarious storyline, complex choreography, and impeccable timing. The Daily Telegraph called it a triumph, while the New York Post promised “virtually continuous laughter.”

Repertory’s production of Run For Your Wife is the third time the company has staged the show, the first in 1986, and the second in 2001. Miguel Faustmann, the taxi driver in the first two runs, returns as the director of this exciting play.

“Even if it’s an old play, it’s such a funny and well-written play,” said Faustmann. “Let’s just have a good time laughing because it’s better to laugh than to feel angry or sad. Humor, as they say, is the best medicine, right?”

Besides the biting wit of the script, one of the fun things to take note of for Run For Your Wife is the intricate blocking and choreography for the actors. The play relies on missed connections, or a precise schedule of entrances and exits, with one stage sharing the two homes of both wives.

Theater veteran Jamie Wilson plays John Smith, a physically demanding role that would literally see him running across the stage throughout the entire show, with only two exits.

“My challenge here is to get everything so linear. I should be confused as John Smith but not as Jamie Wilson,” he shared. “I’m literally running the whole time, answering phone calls, lying, and fabricating stories. I have to keep my secret from coming out. It’s exhausting but fun.”

He is joined by Goldie Soon, who plays the motherly wife Mary, and Mikkie Bradshaw, who plays the bombshell wife, Barbara. Rounding out the cast are Jeremy Domingo as John’s best friend Stanley Gardner, Steven Conde as the flamboyantly gay neighbor Bobby Franklin, James Stacy as the suspicious Detective Sergeant Troughton, Paul Holme as the easygoing Detective Sergeant Porterhouse, and Mara Javier as the inquisitive journalist.

The humor is distinctly British, but the cast and director believe that the premise of having two wives is a universal concept.

“It’s not accepted here but it’s done,” Wilson shared. “Remember the humor in it, not the taboo. Run For Your Wife shows the humor of this ridiculous situation. You could put the same situation, take all the humor out of it and be a heavy drama like a typical Filipino teleserye. But nobody has shown the humor in it. And this is what it’s showing.”

Run For Your Wife will be staged from April 10 to May 3, 2015 at Onstage Theater in Greenbelt 1, Makati City. Ticket prices ranges from P400 to P800.

For more details regarding Run For Your Wife, call Repertory Philippines at 843-3570 and book tickets through TicketWorld at 891-9999 or visit their website at www.ticketworld.com.ph.

About two-hundred employees and partners of Brother Philippines led by Brother Philippines president Glenn P. Hocson, and Deputy General Manager for Sales and Marketing Masao Kasagi walked around the Relay for Life 2015 venue around the track oval of the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City for this year’s Relay for Life.

Hocson said, “Our company’s participation in activities like the Relay for Life 2015 has been one of the reasons why our employee engagement is high. They are happy that Brother is supporting a very worthy cause – that of creating awareness for the fight against cancer.”

PCS Executive Director Dr. Rachel Rosario said that the support of Brother Philippines and other private and public entities is invaluable as it tells cancer patients and survivors and their families that they are not alone. Dr. Rosario said, “The message of love from Brother and the other participants of this year’s vigil resonates and cheers on the cancer sufferers to continue the fight. They are not alone,” said Dr. Rosario.

Since 2011, the Brother Group has been globally promoting participation in Relay for Life as part of social contribution activities involving employees that the Brother Group Global Charter encourages. The initiative is dubbed the “Golden Ring Project,” as different local offices of Brother that participates in Relay for Life in their respective countries form a ring around the globe.

As a symbol of this global initiative, a sash embroidered with the flag of each of the participating countries using Brother’s Entrepreneur® Pro PR1000e 10-needle home embroidery machine is being routed yearly where each country adds its latest year of participation in the embroidery work.
