SM reaps 25 PH Quill Awards

SM Riders Program bags ‘Award of Excellence,’ gets nominatedf or the Top COVID Comms Award

SM garnered 25 recognitions in different categories at the recently concluded 18th Philippine Quill Awards for its outstanding communication and social good initiatives in 2019 and amid the pandemic in 2020.

Clinching an Award of Excellence in the 18th PH Quill Awards, the Riders Program remains to be one of SM Supermalls’ many ways to provide customers with a safe and convenient mode of shopping while providing livelihood for out-of-work individuals during these uncertain times. Over a thousand of displaced workers have become partner riders in Bulacan, Southern Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, and in Davao. The SM Riders Program was also one of nominees for the Top COVID Comms 2020 Award, along with Meralco, Megaworld, PhilCare, and GSIS.

The retail chain won eight (8) Awards of Excellence for SM Supermalls It’s a SMall World (Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication), SM Riders Program (Community Relations), and Juan Fun Adventure At SM (Special and Experiential Events). SM Foundation’s Spreading #SocialGood stories clinched five awards in three categories, namely Community Relations; Corporate Social Responsibility; and Audio/Visual, and Publications. Among these programs, the SM Riders Program was a nominees for the Top COVID Comms 2020 Award.

 


SM programs that bagged an Award of Merit include SM Supermalls’ #SafeHandsAtSM (Safety Communication), #VoteForMom (Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication), HUEniverse (Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication), SM City Baguio Project Seeds (Customer Relations), SM for SMEs 2019 Videos (Community Relations), Kasama Ng SM (Corporate Social Responsibility), #SafeMallingAtSM Videos(Audio/Visual),  BESTival, Biggest Lantern of Hope, and EnterTOYment Fest which all won in the Special and Experiential Events category, and ‘SM Together, We Can (the umbrella campaign for #FAMomentsAtHome, #SafeMallingAtSM, and SM Take Out And Delivery, among others), which won in two categories, namely Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication and Customer Relation; SM Development Corporations’ SMDC Happynings (Community Relations) and The Good Guys Campaign (Corporate Social Responsibility); and, SM Hypermarket’s Street Food Festival 2019 (Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication). Two Awards of Merit were given to SM Foundation’s #SocialGood Stories campaign for Community Relations and Social Media Programs categories.

Organized by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines, the Philippine Quill Awards is considered the most prestigious awards program of country in the field of business communication — emphasizing the excellent use of communication to achieve goals and make a difference in society.
