2GO, MinDA, and DCCCII Convene Davao Industry Leaders to Advance Mindanao’s Inclusive Growth Through Stronger Partnership

DAVAO CITY, Philippines— 2GO, one of the country’s leading transportation and logistics solutions providers, convened with key industry leaders and business stakeholders of Southern Mindanao, alongside the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII), to reinforce a shared vision of advancing economic growth through stronger partnerships and improved logistics connectivity across the region.

Lordilie Enjambre, Area Head, North Mindanao Office, Mindanao Development Authority; Faye Alonzo, Business Unit Head, 2GO Forwarding; Sharon Musngi-Ngo, Business Unit Head, 2GO Sea Solutions; Francis Chua, Business Unit Head, 2GO Travel; Dir. Rodrigo Giducos, Director IV, Investment Promotion and Public Affairs Office, Mindanao Development Authority; Xavier Eric Manalastas, Executive Vice President, Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc.; Engr. Juan Carlos Quinto, Vice President for Trade and Commerce, Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc.; Dir. Romeo Castañaga, Regional Director, Department of Trade and Industry Region XI.

The business forum, entitled “Advancing Mindanao’s Inclusive Growth through Stronger Partnerships and Sustainable Economic Progress,” brought together leaders from government, business chambers, and key industries in a panel discussion focused on regional priorities, logistics challenges, and opportunities to strengthen supply chain connectivity.

Participants included representatives from agribusiness, exporters, manufacturers, logistics providers, and regional government stakeholders—industries that stand to benefit from a more integrated and efficient logistics ecosystem supporting the continued growth of businesses in Davao and across Mindanao.

“Efficient logistics plays a critical role in connecting producers to markets and enabling industries to grow,” said Sharon Musngi-Ngo, Business Unit Head, 2GO Sea Solutions. “By strengthening supply chain connectivity and working closely with partners in government and the business community, we aim to support enterprises in Davao and across Mindanao as they expand their reach across the Philippines and beyond.”

The forum highlighted the importance of collaboration between the private sector and key regional institutions such as MinDA and DCCCII in strengthening infrastructure, improving market access, and supporting inclusive economic development in Mindanao.

2GO continues to strengthen its engagement with partners in the region as it recognizes Mindanao as a key driver of future economic growth in the Philippines. By working alongside MinDA and DCCCII, the company aims to contribute to improving logistics connectivity, enabling businesses to access broader markets, and supporting the region’s continued integration into national and regional supply chains.

As a company with more than a century of maritime and logistics heritage, 2GO brings deep expertise in moving goods and people across the Philippine archipelago. Its operations in Mindanao are anchored in four core business units: 2GO Sea Solutions, 2GO Forwarding, SCVASI (Special Containers and Value-Added Services, Inc.), and 2GO Travel. These units support regional industries through services such as sea freight connectivity, passenger travel, cold chain logistics, ISO tanks for bulk liquids, cross-docking and warehousing, customs brokerage, and last-mile delivery.

“This meeting marks the beginning of a more purposeful collaboration between the private and public sectors,” said Hon. Leo Tereso Magno, Secretary of the Mindanao Development Authority. “With 2GO’s expertise and reach, we can close logistical gaps that hinder trade, scale up local industries, and create an inclusive environment where Mindanao-based businesses can thrive not only in domestic markets but in international corridors as well.”

“Strong collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to sustaining the growth of businesses in Davao and across Mindanao,” said Dr. Mirasol B. Tiu, President of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. “By strengthening logistics connectivity and improving access to markets, we can empower local enterprises—from exporters and manufacturers to small businesses—to expand their reach, compete more effectively, and contribute to the region’s inclusive economic progress.”

2GO maintains a strong logistics presence across Mindanao, with operations in eight key ports including Butuan (via Nasipit), Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Zamboanga, Dipolog (via Dapitan), Ozamiz, Davao, and most recently Siargao—expanding logistics access to one of the country’s fastest-growing tourism and business destinations.

These gateways support seamless inter-island cargo and passenger movement, strengthening regional connectivity and facilitating the efficient transport of goods and supplies essential to the region’s growing economy.

Through its direct Manila–Davao passenger vessel route, 2GO continues to enhance multimodal connectivity between Mindanao and key economic centers in Luzon and the Visayas, reinforcing Davao’s role as a logistics hub in the south.
