What we are offering is for them to have an optimal experience in the one thing that they commonly share – shopping.”

One of the hottest celebrities in the local entertainment industry, Derek Ramsay maintains perfectly defined abs, strong, sculpted shoulders, and toned arms and legs.

However, one might be surprised to know that Derek does not only engage in extreme workout to achieve this chiselled state. Standing at five feet, ten and a half inches and weighing 175 pounds, Derek is ripped.

“I learned that achieving a 100% fit body is 30% exercise and 70% diet. That’s why it is important for me to find a source of protein that has less fat, less salt, and made from 100% pure tuna,” Derek shared.

Many people think that a perfect physique solely depends on workout, making many hopefuls say, “Ang hirap naman magpa-sexy!”

Now, there’s no need to fret as Century Tuna, together with the face of its newest campaign Derek Ramsay, reveals the right figures to live by in achieving 100% abs.

Party with the Founder of Zumba - Beto Perez Live at Circuit Makati this Sunday!

It’s a Party with Beto Perez, the Founder of Zumba!

Beto Perez will host a 90 minute Zumba Fitness-Concert with his team of Zumba Celebrity Instructors, musicians and international DJs on May 10, 2015 at the Globe Circuit Events Ground.

“Zumba: Let It Move You”

Beto Perez explains that the exercise fuses fitness, entertainment and culture into an exhilarating dance-party workout. Coined as “fitness-parties,” Zumba classes blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography to provide effective, total-body workouts for groups of all ages.

The dance party work-out was stumbled upon accidentally. He was set to teach a class back in the 90s when he realized he had forgotten his regular music and had to use a tape of Latin songs instead. A few samba moves and salsa grooves were tossed into the routine and the lively and incredibly fun workout the world now knows as Zumba was born.

Circuit Makati

As a city that continues to bring well-rounded, holistic urban experiences to its denizens, Perez arrives in the country to give an exclusive peek into the unique lifestyle and entertainment opportunities that the city holds.

Much like how Perez’s creativity and ingenuity paved the way for exercise to be transformed into something more exciting, Makati is now giving everyone a glimpse into what they can expect with its latest development: Circuit Makati. This 22-hectare integrated, mixed-use development will highlight the diverse opportunities for entertainment and lifestyle within Makati.

Beto Perez Live in Circuit Makati

Perhaps no other event can encapsulate the ideals behind Circuit Makati more than the entertainment factor and the uniqueness of the first outdoor fitness concert in Makati.

Registration will start at 2PM. VIP tickets are still available at SM Tickets.com.

Fitness enthusiasts can look forward to an invigorating workout in the city that makes it happen.

Zumba, founded in 2001, now became the largest branded fitness program in the world, with more than 15 million weekly class participants in 200,000 locations across more than 180 countries.

Zumba is a global lifestyle brand that fuses fitness, entertainment and culture into an exhilarating dance-party workout. Coined “fitness-parties,” Zumba classes blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography to provide effective, total-body workouts.

The Workout

The Zumba workout provides long-term physical and emotional benefits through exhilarating, high calorie-burning fitness parties, and its simple dance moves from around the world increase the fun factor, making it feel like exercise in disguise. Zumba classes feature routines set to fast and slow rhythms that successfully tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. A person can burn up to 1,000 calories in a one-hour class depending on the intensity of the workout, and will leave the class with a huge smile.

Music is Zumba’s special motivational ingredient. The score, created with specific beats and tempo changes, transitions the workout seamlessly to encompass toning, strengthening and cardio, thus targeting every major muscle group in the body. The program blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy-winning producers, with contagious choreography from dance styles including: salsa, merengue, cumbia, samba, belly dance, bhangra, hip-hop and other world rhythms.

Stay fit and healthy: Fiber-up with MEGAFIBER for a healthy and fabulous you

Be healthy, stay healthy.

Being healthy is one of my main goals in life. Eating the right foods and the right amounts of foods; exercise and staying physically active are a few examples of good habits that can help you stay healthy and can help you live a longer, healthier life.

Get fit, stay fit.

No other time is a better time to lose weight than now. If you’ve been forever planning to get rid of those extra pounds, it’s time to get serious about it. Besides, it’s not just about looking fabulous and feeling good about your body. Being overweight or obese exposes a person to various health problems. These include coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, sleep apnea and respiratory problems, cancers (endometrial, breast and colon), liver and gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, infertility… the list goes on.

Shedding off the extra pounds is part of a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise and a diet that must meet the body’s nutrient requirements, particularly fiber.

Controlling or maintaining weight is easier to do with a fiber-rich diet because fiber has the power to fill you up without filling you out. Eating healthy high-fiber foods makes you feel full, so you can resist eating more food than you need. Fibrous foods can also take longer to chew, giving your brain time to get the signal that you have had enough to eat.

Most people, however, do not get the daily 38 grams of fiber for the average adult male and 25 grams for the average adult female recommended by the Institute of Medicine, Washington.

Incorporating fiber into the daily diet entails making smart food choices like eating whole fruits instead of drinking fruit juices; replacing white rice, bread and pasta with brown rice and whole grain products; choosing whole grain cereals for breakfast; snacking on raw vegetables instead of chips, crackers or chocolate bars; substituting legumes for meat two to three times per week; and others.

This is particularly difficult in the Philippines where such food choices go against the norm as well as the budget. Meanwhile, the few who commit the time, effort and financial resources to increase dietary fiber via careful meal preparation and planning run the risk of increasing overall calorie intake as well.

One way to bridge the “fiber gap” is to take the all-natural fiber supplement MEGAFIBER. It is made from 100% all natural Psyllium Fiber, reputed as nature’s best and most efficient source of natural dietary fiber. To compare, one teaspoon of MEGAFIBER has 14 times more fiber than oat bran and other cereals.

MEGAFIBER is available over the counter at Mercury Drug outlets nationwide. It comes in bigger 7.5g sachets at P10.75 each, travel pack of 30 sachets at P325, and in bigger 300g jars at P430, with 50% more fiber than other brands to give you more value for your money. It is also offered in half-kilo family size packs at P705 for even greater savings.

MEGAFIBER is FDA-approved. Product inquiries may be coursed thru the MEGAFIBER customer service hotlines 524-6549, 354-2208 to 09 and 09474890262, and info@megafiber.com.ph email. Product information is also available at www.megafiber.com.ph and the MEGAFIBER facebook page.

Those who are looking to include MEGAFIBER into their weight loss plan are advised to add one heaping tablespoon in a half glass of water or juice 30 minutes before meals, followed by one glass of water.

MEGAFIBER provides a feeling of fullness, which in turn helps reduce hunger pangs, and lessens the tendency to overeat. This should be welcome news to those having difficulty resisting the food-laden table that is part and parcel of Filipino family outings and gatherings that usually occur during the summer break.

The all-natural fiber supplement is also a natural fat absorber that assists in capturing the fats in our food, which are then excreted during regular bowel movement.

Aside from assisting in weight management, MEGAFIBER also helps prevent constipation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, control Diarrhea or Loose Bowel Movement (LBM), reduce the risk of heart diseases and cholesterol and regulate blood sugar levels and uric acid levels.

Waste no more time and be on your way to being healthier and feeling better about how you look. Supplement your existing weight loss program with MEGAFIBER and achieve MEGA results.

MEGAFIBER is distributed by PHILUSA Corporation with tel. no. 631-1731.

http://www.myrnaroman.com/2012/02/health-benefits-of-drinking-water.html

Drink Water ... always

Water makes up almost 75% of our body and is absolutely necessary for life. Water is the elixir of life, it we cannot exist.

There are plenty of health benefits of drinking water. Drinking water makes us feel good. Start your day with a glass of fresh drinking water.

This is also in addition to the fluid we get from the food we eat. All non-alcoholic drinks count, but water and lower-fat milk are healthier choices. When the weather is warm, or when we get active, we may need more fluids. Drink and drink water to stop us getting dehydrated. Keep bottles of water around or carry a reusable bottle everywhere with you as a reminder to keep drinking.

Whether you’re trying to lose weight or you simply want to look and feel healthier, one of the best ways to rid your body of harmful toxins is to drink water.

And try for healthier options

Most people think diet and exercise spell instant perfect health. While fitness activities and low fat diet can control weight gain, it is equally important to release wastes and toxins from the body.

Unhealthy diet and lifestyle can hamper the efficiency of the body’s digestive system. Instead of flushing out wastes it stays in the colon and in time, it can block the body’s natural detoxification process.

Located in the large intestines the colon performs an important function of absorbing nourishment from digested food. Nutrients like water, electrolytes and vitamins, are sent back to the body for better regeneration. The colon is also responsible for keeping the body safe from harmful toxins.

Body waste accumulation can result from lack of exercise, low water intake, too much processed meat, sugar and carbohydrates in the diet, carbonated drinks, alcohol, and caffeine and believe it or not—stress. Wastes that stay in the body longer can lead to hormonal imbalance, insomnia, constipation, acne diarrhea, fatigue and other related illnesses.

The best way to keep the colon healthy is to regularly cleanse it from harmful wastes.

Zen Medical Institute recommends colonics therapy for better digestive function.

Zen Medical Institute, medical science, creativity & aesthetics come together to reveal your beauty from inside out.

Known for its holistic approach that combines medical science, aesthetics and creativity, the programs and treatments offered at Zen are performed by licensed medical practitioners.

Colonics is recommended for those who wish to improve their digestive function for a healthier and sexier body. The cleansing procedure is called peristalsis. A small hose (very small only .5 cm) attached to a hydrotherapy machine is placed in the rectum and flushes out waste with warm water

Apart from improved digestion, colonics refreshes the entire body system. With the toxins eliminated, the body now feels light and relaxed. The mind is also cleared from stress, giving the skin a youthful glow.

Dr. MJ Torres, head physician and owner of Zen Institute recommends colonics for weight management. "Regular sessions can help the body lose as much as 20 lbs in 21 days. Each session lasts between 50-60 minutes.

Even those who are relatively healthy will find the treatment beneficial for flushing toxins. "If you are really conscious about your body it is recommended that you have it four times a year. If you do not get enough fiber from vegetables, drink a lot of alcohol, basically unhealthy diet and lifestyle, then you should have it more often,' she said."

Colonics also encourages the growth of good bacteria that easily boosts the immune system.

The Zen Institute is located at 69 Scout Rallos St., Tomas Morato, Quezon City (02-441-1712/02-412-2528); Ground Floor, Bonifacio Technology Center, 31st St., Corner 2nd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig (02-856-2027); and at the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center, Maharlika Highway, Bgy. 2, Sto.Tomas, Batangas (+43-778-4811).

C-Lium Fibre, the all-natural fiber supplement that helps you live healthier and live more, took part in the “LIVE. LOVE. PARTY” held at SM Aura in Taguig City last March 1 as celebration of International Women’s Month and attracted over 300 participants in a Zumba fitness party led by Zumba star sensation Melissa Chiz. She was invited by Karl Edward International and Zumba Wear Philippines to showcase the latest fat-burning moves.
Inside the Samsung Hall of Mall of Asia, another C-Lium Fibre booth was located to offer free taste and sample product to the participants of “Live. Love. Party.”

“We are proud that C-Lium was able to participate in this worthwhile event,” says Catherine Reyes, Senior Brand Manager. “The event is very much in line with our vision of letting people achieve sound inner health through a combination of good diet, exercise and fiber supplementation.”
“Live. Love. Party.” participants got to have their pictures taken with the gorgeous models manning the C-Lium Fibre booth at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura.
Chiz, who was flown from the United States, was surprised with the hospitable reception accorded to her by the Filipinos. “There is so much warmth and excitement here in the Philippines that I will definitely come back,” she said. People are so fabulous and kind. The participants are simply spectacular!”

Some of the participants included big-name celebrities who are apparently big Zumba fans. Jessica Soho, Amie Austria, Alma Concepcion, Regine Tolentino and her better half Lander Vera Perez (together they are dubbed the “King & Queen of Zumba”), were some of the more notable participants. Prizes were also given to those who exemplified terrific Zumba energy. Richard Cayabyab and Ina Quintanila were proclaimed Zumba King and Queen while Leo Feca and Gold Fuentes ZIN King and Queen.

C-Lium Fibre had a booth set up and gave away free samples for people to try the product. Product Ambassadors likewise encouraged the Zumba participants to learn more about and discover the benefits of daily fiber intake.
Treated to the healthy goodness of C-Lium Fibre during the “Live. Love. Party.” event, participants indulged on some photo-op with the C-Lium Fibre models.

According to the US-based National Fiber Council, fiber promotes a healthy digestive system and assists in weight management. It also helps to lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, which may contribute to a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
C-Lium Fibre models were ready to welcome the participants of the “Live. Love. Party.” a Zumba fitness event that coincided with the start of International Women’s Month.
“Live. Love. Party.” participants did rhythmic, fat-burning Zumba moves as they followed the lead Zumba star sensation Melissa Chiz. C-Lium Fibre was one of the major sponsors of the event.
Moving in unison and led by Melissa Chiz, the “Live. Love. Party.” participants felt an adrenaline-rush as they did the Zhumba moves that combined aerobic exercise with elements from dance.
For those who missed this event, SM Aura and Karl Edward International will be hosting a monthly Zumba Fitness Party at Samsung Hall. Zumba fanatics now have another venue where they can sweat and dance it out to keep fit.

“For sure, C-Lium Fibre will be there to support this event,” Catherine Reyes said. “Being healthy and staying healthy is a continuous process and we will always be on hand to encourage those who have this goal.”
