Reese Witherspoon’s “The Good Lie” Unfolds In Ayala Cinemas on July 29

An inspiring true story on the lost boys of Sudan.  A group of Sudanese refugees given the chance to resettle in America arrive in Kansas City, Missouri, where their encounter with an employment agency counselor forever changes all of their lives.

Reese Witherspoon, one of Hollywood’s and the world’s most influential people, stars in an inspiring story etched in history in “The Good Lie.”

Based on true events, “The Good Lie” centers on orphans during the brutal Civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety. Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America. In “The Good Lie,” Philippe Falardeau, (writer and director of the Oscar- nominated Foreign Language film “Monsieur Lazhar”) brings the story of their survival and triumph to life. Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon (“Walk the Line”) stars alongside Sudanese actors Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal, and newcomer Nyakuoth Weil, many of whom were also children of war.

Mamere and Theo are sons of the Chief in their village in Southern Sudan. When an attack by the Northern militia destroys their home and kills their parents, eldest son Theo is forced to assume the role of Chief and lead a group of young survivors, including his sister Abital, away from harm. But the hostile, treacherous terrain has other dangers in store for them.

As the tattered group makes the difficult trek to Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, they meet other fleeing children, forging a bond with Jeremiah, who, at 13, is already a man of faith, and Paul, whose skills become essential to their survival.

Thirteen years later, the now young adults are given the opportunity to leave the camp and resettle in America. Upon arriving in Kansas, they are met by Carrie Davis (Reese Witherspoon), an employment agency counselor who has been enlisted to help find them jobs—no easy task, when things like straws, light switches and telephones are brand new to them.

Although Carrie has successfully kept herself from any emotional entanglements, these refugees, who desperately require help navigating the 20th century and rebuilding their shattered lives, need just that. So Carrie embarks on her own unchartered territory, enlisting the help of her boss, Jack (Corey Stoll).

Together, against the backdrop of their shared losses, the Lost Boys and these unlikely strangers find humor in the clash of cultures, and heartbreak as well as hope in the challenges of life in America.

Follow their inspiring journey when “The Good Lie” opens this July 29 exclusive at Ayala Malls Cinemas nationwide.

8 Must-Try Hummus Places in Metro Manila

For foodies looking to try hummus for the first time, check out these eight halal restaurants located right in your neighborhood.

Eid al-Fitr signals the breaking of the fast in Islam, people are feeling inspired to celebrate the event with the Muslim community by feasting on food influenced by their religious traditions. But while the typical Filipino would cite “shawarma” as their top- of-mind choice for Middle Eastern food, one appetizer is currently climbing the ranks to give it a run for its money: the humble hummus.

Once a mere appetizer, hummus is currently becoming a favorite among frequenters of restaurants that offer Middle Eastern cuisine.

For the unoriented, hummus is made by combining mashed chickpeas or garbanzos with tahini, olive oil, and lemon juice. It’s normally eaten by dunking flatbread into it or by pairing it with grilled meat or vegetables, but true-blue lovers find it just as satisfying on its own.

If you’re looking to experience the dish for the first time, check out MyProperty.ph’s eight picks of great halal restaurants in Metro Manila that offer hummus to suit all budgets and ambiance preferences.

Ziggurat

Those who wish to try Ziggurat’s dishes will have to head to its only branch in Sunette Tower in Poblacion, Makati. The place—which offers a combination of Indian, Pakistani, Mediterranean, and African cuisines—has a very extensive menu that’s in the middle of the affordable-to-expensive scale, Ziggurat’s hummus is actually the most affordable in this list at Php75 per serving. And good news: Ziggurat is open 24 hours, so you can get your fix any time of the day.

Berhouz Persian Cuisine

Another favorite go-to place of bargain-hunting foodies is Berhouz, with branches for shoppers at Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan, live music lovers at Pasig’s Metrowalk, as well as foodies in Parañaque’s BF Homes and Quezon City’s Tomas Morato area. A serving of plain hummus here, which they prepare with yogurt, costs Php80.

Mister Kabab

Starting out as one of the midnight haunts of foodies in the West Avenue area, Mister Kabab now also serves the mall goers of Fisher Mall and Ayala Fairview Terraces in Quezon City, residents and visitors of Mezza Residences in Santa Mesa, and employees of the UP-Ayala Technohub. Here, a serving of hummus costs Php120.

Persia Grill

Persia Grill is the restaurant in this list with the most number of branches: four in Makati, two in Pasay, and one each in Taft Avenue in Manila, Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig, and Pasig’s Kapitolyo, plus a soon-to-open branch in BF Homes, Parañaque. Their version of hummus comes with garlic and is sold at Php120 a serving.

Shawarma Snack Center

Shawarma Snack Center (SSC) has a stall open for patrons of Waltermart in Chino Roces, Makati, as well as people strolling around Ermita (Robinsons Manila and along M. H. del Pilar Street) and BF Parañaque. Hummus in SSC is slightly more expensive at Php135.

Hossein’s Restaurant

Hossein’s has been offering a combination of Iranian, Arabian, Indian, and Mediterranean dishes since 1985. The restaurant currently has over four branches in the country, including those found in BGC’s Serendra and Makati’s Bel-Air Village, while a Hossein’s restaurant called Gilak is in Greenbelt 3, Makati. If you enjoy having your meals served and eaten in grand style, Hossein’s is the place, but the experience will come at a hefty cost: a single order of hummus comes at Php150, while a serving for sharing costs Php250.

Kashmir

Kashmir is said to be the oldest Middle Eastern restaurant chain in the country, offering Indian dishes since the early 1970s. One branch is located along Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila, while the other three are in Makati, with a bonus regular appearance at the Salcedo Saturday Market. Being a fine dining restaurant, their hummus is understandably a little more costly at about Php150 a serving.

Arya Persian Restaurant

Lucky for those who often embark on retail expeditions and crave Persian cuisine afterwards, all branches of Arya are located inside malls: Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City, Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan, Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong, and Robinsons Place Manila. Plain hummus at Arya is priced over Php150 per serving, but if you’re up for a more filling variety of the appetizer, try the pricier Shahi hummus that comes at around Php260 and is topped with chunks of meat.

Teens train as Web Rangers to keep the Internet a safe place

L-R: Ryan Morales, Google PH Country Marketing Manager; Gail Tan, Google PH Head of Communication and Public Affairs; Alex Long, Google Asia Pacific for Public Policy and Government Relations; Commissioner Earl Saavedra, National Youth Commission; Helena Lersch, Google Asia Pacific for Public Policy and Government Relations
Today, more than fifty Filipino teenagers gathered to train as Web Rangers in a workshop designed by Google Philippines to help them effectively utilize their creativity and social influence to promote a more responsible use of the Internet.

Google Philippines, in partnership with the National Youth Commission, aims to equip the youth to develop effective campaigns that will help address cyber concerns in a positive way and keep the Internet a safe place.

The participants will learn from a series of talks by creative and industry veterans, including Google country marketing manager, Ryan Morales; Trese writer, Budjette Tan; DM9-Digit managing director and Unbox founder, Carlo Ople; and DM9JaymeSyfu Chairmom and chief creative officer, Merlee Jayme. The topics will cover creativity and technology, superhero characters, Internet etiquette, and developing campaign ideas. NYC Commissioner Earl Saavedra will also deliver a keynote address to underscore the vital role that the youth play in influencing their peers to have better online behavior.

The Web Rangers will be divided into teams and be given three weeks to come up with their campaign. The group with the most impressive campaign will get a chance to visit a Google office in Asia to present to Google executives. Awarding will be on August 20.

The Web Rangers brainstorm to create the big idea for their online positivity campaign.
“Cyber threats and cyberbullying can have a negative impact in the lives of teenagers especially if they think they have no one to talk to about it. That’s why we created the Web Rangers program to train a group of teens who can be a positive influence online,” said Gail Tan, Google Philippines Head of Communications and Public Affairs.
Google Philippines created five Web Ranger roles that teens can identify with: The Transmitter, who shares positive content; The Guardian, who is vigilant against cyber threats; The Frontliner, who takes a stand against cyberbullying; The Uplifter, who is a source of positivity for the depressed; and The Creator, who creates inspiring and empowering creative content.

Orange Blush Salon holds ‘Orange Day’

What’s so special about Wednesday?

It’s a special day every Wednesday at the Orange Blush Salon in Cabanatuan City, as they treat their clients with special promotions and discounts on all of their salon services.

Orange Blush salon owner Joby Linsangan-Moreno says that on Wednesdays, they treat their already important clients “a little more special” by giving discounts on their services. For instance, a haircut costs P80 on regular days, but only P60 on Wednesdays; regular hair rebond is at P1,000, but drops to P800 only on Wednesdays. All other salon services are also discounted.

Joby Linsangan-Moreno
But why Wednesday? What’s so special about Wednesday? Explains Joby:
“It’s the midweek, and we usually have the lowest head count during this day; we wanted to come up with exciting and unique promos that can create a strong customer loyalty base and relationship and at the same time, think of promos that could strengthen our brand. It is always our priority to deliver salon services with the highest quality yet affordable services, that come with warranty.”

But that’s not all. They actually have promos all year round, as their way of reaching out to clients and thanking them for their patronage.

“We usually have monthly promos that are related to special events/holidays during the month or season, from January to December,” says Joby. “Like, for Valentine’s Day, we give out two free movie tickets for couples who avail of P1,000 worth of salon services; recently we gave away five iPad minis to lucky customers who took part in our raffle draw. With a minimum of P250 worth of salon services, one is already entitled to one raffle ticket, and during the Christmas season, we have discounted package services (Hair Rebond with Hair Cellophane and foot spa). And also, just recently, we gave away free colognes (in vials) for every P250 worth, with discount coupons. We also have upcoming promos made especially for students, where they can avail free salon services (for the day) with every P250 worth of salon services availed and upon presentation of their school identification cards.”

These promos are part of Orange Blush salon’s effort to continually upgrade their services.

“Our aim as a company is to improve continuously; to do better every day, every week, every month, every year,” says Joby. “We strive to know our customers more and establish strong direct relationships with them. The market is ever-changing, and thus challenging; and we are aware that we need to keep up and step up to deliver the best salon services.”

To date, they have upgraded the interiors of all their company-owned branches, with the help of their partners, professional contractors and interior designers. “We want our salons to look very welcoming and attractive, and we also want to make sure that our customers are comfortable whenever they visit our salons. We also strive to offer only the best hair salon services and products, and we update and upgrade our hair salon services procedures and products every now and then to keep up with the customers and the trends in the industry.”

Another innovation that Orange Blush Salon has introduced is what Joby refers to as the Warranty Services. This is like a guarantee that clients will get only the best whenever they patronize the salon.
“We want our clients to know and feel that we do every hair procedure with outmost care and knowledge, and that our service extends beyond our treatments done inside the salon. We are ultimately responsible for our services that we render to our customers. We give out our warranty service slips, and customers are asked to come back to our salon for a free hair check-up, to check and see how our customers are doing and check on their hair/nails as well.”

Joby thinks that it is important for each customer to be treated fairly and with importance, and that every service should always be given with love and sincerity.

“That is our way of showing them that we care.”

Discover Southeast Asia’s top backpacking destinations with Cebu Pacific

Cruise the mighty Mekong River in Laos and discover the cities, towns and temples along its shores.
More than just an inexpensive way to travel, backpacking is an exhilarating and enriching way to truly experience a destination. It compels travelers to go beyond their comfort zones, deviate from the usual tourist route, live the way locals do, and make friends along the way.

Cebu Pacific Air, with its low fares and network, empowers travel enthusiasts to satiate their wanderlust and explore the best backpacking destinations of Southeast Asia. The airline offers multi-city tickets that allow you to fly to one country and depart from another, maximizing your trip.

Bangkok, the backpackers’ hub.

A backpacker favorite, Bangkok consistently lives up to its reputation as one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. Eclectic in its offerings and highly accessible from other destinations, it is the usual starting point for many travelers who crisscross the region. Spending at least two nights here should be enough to explore the city’s lively street markets, spectacular temples, and the nightlife in the famed Khao San Road.

Sunny beaches and party nights at Thailand’s south.

Koh Phi Phi, often referred to as Thailand’s most beautiful island, is located in Krabi province around 12 hours from Bangkok or a two-hour ferry ride from Phuket. The island shot to fame among adventure seekers when the film “The Beach” was shot there more than a decade ago. Accommodations start from as low as 50-100 baht a night. Another Southern Thailand hotspot among budget travelers is Krabi, a group of islands off the Andaman Coast. From Phi Phi, it takes about 1.5 hours by ferry. It is a town visited by those looking for nature activities such as rock climbing. Khao Kanab Nam, the most iconic of its attractions, is composed of two karst rocks situated next to each other.

Once among the most powerful kingdoms in Southeast Asia, Ayutthaya in Thailand is now a UNESCO World Heritage site that draws tourists in because of its magnificent ancient structures.

The cultural and laidback North Thailand.

Complementing the vivacious energy of the South, the Northern part of Thailand offers a more laidback charm with its cultural attractions, relaxing vibe, and cooler weather. Just two hours by bus from Bangkok is Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand and a stunning city filled with ancient temples and religious structures. Three rivers—the Chao Phraya, the Lopburi, and the Pa Sak Rivers—converge here. The most enjoyable way to get around the ancient ruins is by bicycle, although tuk-tuks are also available to take visitors around the complex. The largest and most culturally significant city in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai can be reached directly by train from Bangkok. Aside from its quiet and relaxing atmosphere that contrasts the hustle and bustle of the capital, a lot of people come here for jungle trekking, elephant encounters, and adventurous activities.

Scenic small-town life in Laos. Laos’ appeal lies in its vast wilderness and rich culture.

This country used to be isolated after years of war, but is now gaining cult status among travelers from all over the world. Vientiane, the capital, is accessible from Bangkok by train or by bus from Chiang Mai. The city serves as the starting point to other destinations in Laos. Spending one night here should be enough to recharge one’s energy because of the relaxing small town atmosphere. After doing a round of the temples, a great way to experience this river town is to watch the sun set by the Mekong River.Meanwhile, Luang Prabang is a colorful hodgepodge of traditional Lao wooden houses and what remains of its French colonial past. Set underneath a temple-topped hill, Luang Prabang is also known for its monks who line the streets to collect their only meal for the day. A bit farther away from Bangkok, it is a great take-off point for travelers who want to proceed to Hanoi in Vietnam.

The last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire, Angkor Thom in Cambodia is filled with grand Buddhist structures. These include the Bayon Temple, which features 216 massive stone faces and impressive bas reliefs.
Charming Cambodia. Cambodia no longer evokes images of just majestic ruins and lost empires.

From unspoiled beaches to a distinctive cuisine, the old Khmer kingdom continues to unearth more attractions for tourists and nomads alike. There are several borders in Thailand that provide crossing to Cambodia, the busiest of which leads to Aranyaprathet/Poipet in Northwestern Cambodia. Siem Reap provides access to the Angkor Archeological Park, a 400 square kilometer forested complex of the magnificent ruins of the ancient Khmer empire. The major temples like the Angkor Wat and the Bayon Temple of Angkor Thom can be explored within one day, but to visit the other smaller and hidden ones will require a couple of days more. Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, can also be reached by bus from Siem Reap. The city, with its many museums, memorials, and pagodas, gives visitors a powerful glimpse of the country’s rich history and culture. Other activities to try are river cruises, cooking classes, and checking out the street markets. From Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam can already be reached by bus.

There are many routes and ways to take when exploring these Southeast Asian gems, depending on the time each traveler has and how much they want to immerse themselves in every place they visit. The best way to make the most out of every trip is to plan ahead and plan well.

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER Proves There’s Life After Broadway

Show Closes Run in Manila July 26; Moves On to Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Australia

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (SNF), the smash musical that drew inspiration from the ‘70s film of the same name, has been taking on a life of its own since bowing out from Broadway 15 years ago: spawning at least four UK Tour productions, seven International Tour productions, a cruise production, and a West End Revival production—proving the adage that “indeed, there’s life beyond the shadows of the Great White Way.”

SNF’s latest triumph, a newly reimagined production aimed at revisiting the gritty, chaotic, and dystopic elements of the film—initially announced to make tour stops in Manila, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore—has just added China and Australia to its itinerary. Patrick Bywalksi, deputy chairman of The Robert Stigwood Organisation, which produced the film and its succeeding film-to-stage adaptations, announced the extra tour stops on the opening night in Manila earlier this month. Bywalski said, “Now that we’re up and running, I trust that we should be able to secure more venues as per my announcement.

“This brand new production of SNF represents a true value: the essence of the movie is respected all the way, [which was deliberately overlooked in the original West End and Broadway runs to appeal to a wider audience]. Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group (ATEG) director Bobby Garcia has epitomized Nick Cohn’s original story, ‘Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night,’” an article published in New York magazine in 1976, which served as the basis of the film.

In fact, local critics also noticed those stark similarities to the film. Vlad Bunoan, who edits for an online news portal, wrote in his review, “The musical is actually a near word-for-word adaptation of the popular 1977 movie that turned John Travolta into a global superstar. And it must be stressed that [film director] John Badham's movie is set against a backdrop of a period in American history marked by economic malaise and a growing hopelessness.

“For Tony Manero [played by Broadway actor Brandon Rubendall], a 19-year-old dropout working at a paint store—as well as for many Americans—disco offered an escape from his dreary family life: his father is out of the job and his brother has decided to leave the priesthood.”

Bunoan continued, “The movie—and musical—also tackles the '70s-era, sexual promiscuity, abortion, and racial violence. In short, this isn't a retro, feel-good musical like ‘Mamma Mia’ or Travolta's ‘Grease’… But if you're a big fan of the movie in its dramatic entirety, you will be pleased by the way it was magically transported to the stage…”

Deemed too provocative, this latest incarnation of SNF actually comes in two versions: a Rated R version, which is the one currently playing in Manila, and a Parental Guidance (PG) version, which will be shown in countries whose theatergoers are considered more conservative. “As what we did with the film, we had two versions: one rated R and one PG. So we already know which parameters we have to work with to satisfy the local practice,” Bywalski revealed.

In spite of everything, the timeless songs of The Bee Gees that defined the disco era of the ‘70s have been retained in the musical’s score—prompting the audience to bob their heads to the beat, and get up and dance by the show’s end. Theatergoers leave the venue humming either “How Deep Is Your Love” or “Stayin’ Alive,” or either “Night Fever” or “You Should Be Dancing,” which makes for an incredible evening of live theater.

Touted as “the first Filipino-produced Broadway musical for the world,” whose primary proponents ATEG and Ten Bridges Media Corp., both based in Manila, Philippines, did not scrimp on the quality of expertise in this production as embodied by its A-list creative team: Bobby Garcia (stage direction), Broadway choreographer Vince Pesce (choreography), Tony winner David Gallo (set design), Broadway lighting designer Paul Miller (lighting design), costume designer Eric Pineda (costume design), sound designer Michael Waters (sound design), technical director Richard Martin (technical direction), graphic artist GA Fallarme (video projection design), musician Ceejay Javier (musical direction), and West End and London casting director Tara Rubin (casting).

SNF in Manila, which stars Rubendall (“Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark,”), Jenna Rubaii (“American Idiot”), Mikkie Bradshaw (“Carrie The Musical”), Nick Varricchio (“A Chorus Line”), and Carla Guevara-Laforteza (“Miss Saigon”), among others, plays The Theatre at Solaire Resort and Casino (ASEANA Avenue, Paranaque, Metro Manila) until Sunday, July 26.

Performances are also set at Istana Budaya (Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) from September 4 to 13 and at MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands (10 Bayfront Ave., Singapore) from September 25 to October 4.

For tickets in Manila, call ATEG at (632) 650 5144 or (63917) 8381534; or visit TicketWorld at ticketworld.com.ph.

Casino Filipino Angeles unveils new tagline “WE NEVER STOP”

Thrill seekers and tourists who are looking for unparalleled fun in this part of Central Luzon are in for a big surprise.
Casino Filipino (CF) Angeles, the three-decade old Kapampangan-themed gaming facility is taking its entertainment and gaming offerings to a new level as it launches its new tagline, “We Never Stop”.
Branch Manager Redentor Rivera said the new tagline best sums up what CF Angeles could offer to its clients.

“It is a reflection of who we are because we never stop providing our clients with the best that we can give. We want our clients to see that we never stop delivering the best service; we never stop improving our facilities and we will never stop giving our customers, patrons and guests exciting surprises,” he said.
Rivera added that they have been planning to upgrade CF Angeles since 2013. “Since then, we have done improvements in terms of amenities and facilities to provide a more relaxing and entertaining venue for our customers,” he said.

The recent improvements done by the branch included the installation of a new water-cooled air-conditioning system, a newly opened restaurant at the 2nd floor, setting up of a giant back-to-back LED wall in front of the casino building, the construction of a multi-level parking area, sprucing up the gaming venues and updating computer systems and equipment to better serve its patrons.

CF Angeles also beefed up its entertainment offerings by holding crowd-drawing celebrity shows.
“Guided by our tagline, ‘We Never Stop’, we have set our goal to transform CF Angeles into a one-stop-venue for gaming, leisure and entertainment in the North. Our goal is to go beyond client expectation. We want them to experience more than just gaming. We want our patrons to be able to watch top-notch celebrity performances, which are free most of the time,” Rivera enthused.

Part of the branch’s bigger entertainment offerings include big celebrities like Anne Curtis, Martin Nievera, Erik Santos, Richard Poon, Jose Mari Chan, Aiza Seguerra, Ariel Rivera, Aljur Abrenica, Antoinette Taus, Ray Ann Fuentes, Tillie Moreno, Top Suzara, Jinky Vidal, Sitti Navarro, Jimmy Bondoc, Freddie Aguilar, Sheryn Regis, Ellen Adarna and Sam Pinto during the second half of 2015.
“Our patrons can look forward to great music and entertainment. It’s not always easy to book a schedule with big celebrities like our guest performers. But we have taken our entertainment offerings to a new level so our patrons will be able to experience what other gaming and entertainment venues have been offering,” Rivera explained.
“With these upcoming shows by famous celebrities, we will surely attract huge crowd including the millennial market or the yuppies who are avid supporters of these performers,” the CF Angeles head added.
Apart from celebrity shows and improved facilities, the branch also offers more exciting gaming events, such as the bingo sessions which are now being held daily to accommodate different market segments.

Another value-added service of the branch is the provision of shuttle services for its patrons from different parts of Northern Luzon including Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan and Baguio.

“Currently, we only have a free 24/7 shuttle service for Korean players in Pampanga. But soon, we will provide more accessible modes of transportation for our local guests,” Rivera said.
He added that with all these improved services, “casino guests from Northern Luzon need not go to Metro Manila to enjoy and be entertained because they could already find what they are looking for here in CF Angeles.”
Rivera stressed that CF Angeles will ensure it maintains its competitive edge over other casinos by employing a more personalized approach in meeting the needs of their patrons.

“We owe our competitive advantage to our greatest asset – our employees. Because of them, CF Angeles continues to be the market leader in gaming and entertainment in Pampanga,” Rivera said.
For more details, please call the Branch Marketing and Concierge Office of CF Angeles at (045) 892-5073 local 219 or 119 and +63916-296-5714.

Here's more about Casino Filipino Angeles:

Casino Filipino (CF) Angeles began its operation in 1986 in a small restaurant in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga (the former Golden Dynasty).     In 1987, the casino was relocated to Angeles City’s Balibago Entertainment Strip.

When Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991, the entertainment strip was buried in volcanic ash and debris. The area was deserted and several businesses in the area ceased to operate including CF Angeles. Despite the devastation, CF Angeles was the first to rise in cooperation with Mr. Ramon Tang of Century Resort Hotel. Being back in business, CF Angeles contributed largely in stimulating again the economy in the area.

In 1999, CF Angeles transferred to a makeshift location within the Century Resort Hotel to give way to the construction of a new casino building. Its revenues, however, continued to grow steadily. CF Angeles also continued to break income records despite the rise of other private casinos in Clark  Freeport Zone in the late 90’s.

In 2003, CF Angeles moved to its new home, a newly constructed Kapampangan-themed building within the complex of Century Hotel, where it is still currently located.
