In case you need to use calls and texts, customers have the option to manually select T-Mobile:

● Android users may simply go to Settings > Mobile Network > SIM Info & Settings > Carrier, then untoggle “Auto Select” for the device to scan other networks available in the area. This may take a while until all networks are loaded. Choose T-Mobile as your preferred network.

● For iPhone users, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Plans > Network Selection > then untoggle “Automatic” and then choose T-Mobile. For Prepaid customers, it's recommended to set your phone to 2G mode if you don't have any active Roam Surf subscription.

If AT&T signal is stronger in the area where you're located, affordable data roaming promos are available for you to choose from so you can make and receive calls and messages through your favorite messaging apps like Facebook Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp, or WeChat.

“As our global partners shut down their 2G and 3G technologies, we want to ensure that our customers will still have a worry-free roaming experience while abroad.
