HONOR Connect Brings the HONOR Ecosystem Together for a Seamless Device Experience

From smartphones and tablets to smartwatches and earbuds, HONOR devices work together to make digital experiences more convenient every day.

HONOR Philippines is making it easier for users to move across smartphones, tablets, wearables, and audio devices through HONOR Connect, an ecosystem feature that links compatible HONOR products for a more connected experience across work, communication, entertainment, and everyday activities.

HONOR Connect enables cross-device features including connected notifications and calls, screen sharing, connected apps, network sharing, connected camera, and content transfers. Depending on the compatible devices and software versions, users can share files, access information, and continue selected activities across screens.

“As consumers use more devices in their everyday lives, we believe the experience should become simpler, not more complicated,” said Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines. “HONOR Connect brings our devices together so users can choose the right device for what they need to do while staying connected across work, wellness, and entertainment. We want our technology to work naturally around the user.”

One Ecosystem, Different Roles

The HONOR Magic V6 offers the flexibility of a foldable smartphone, with its expansive inner display supporting productivity and multitasking on the go. It can also connect with other compatible HONOR devices to extend the experience beyond the smartphone.

For users who need more screen space, the HONOR MagicPad4 provides a larger canvas for productivity, content, and multitasking, while cross-device capabilities make it easier to share information between compatible devices.

The HONOR Watch 6 keeps key information within reach while supporting an active lifestyle. Connected features allow users to stay updated through notifications and calls on supported devices without always needing to reach their smartphone.

Meanwhile, the HONOR Earbuds 4 complement the connected experience for calls, music, and entertainment, keeping audio and conversations within easy reach throughout the day.

Designed Around the Way People Use Their Devices

Together, these devices demonstrate how an ecosystem can give users flexibility without requiring every device to serve the same purpose. Users can check updates on their Watch 6, manage communication and tasks on the Magic V6, move to the MagicPad4 when a larger display is needed, and use the Earbuds 4 for calls or entertainment.

HONOR Connect also supports selected cross-brand scenarios. Compatible HONOR smartphones and tablets can transfer content with iPhone and iPad devices, Mac computers, and supported devices from other brands. Availability and supported functions vary by device, operating system, and software version.

As HONOR continues to expand across smartphones, tablets, PCs, wearables, and audio devices, HONOR Connect brings these experiences closer together, giving users more freedom to build a connected setup around their individual needs and routines.

Maya brings teamwork to the pitch, wins CFL title

Cross-functional team claims Corporate Football League Division 3 Cup
with a perfect 9–0 record

By day, they help develop, build, run and support Maya’s payments and digital banking products for consumers and businesses. On the football field, the Maya team completed a perfect run to win the Corporate Division 3 Cup of the Corporate Football League 2026.

Maya’s Corporate Football League team is comprised of employees across various functions and departments, reflecting the dynamic, people-centric culture at the Philippines’ leading digital financial services platform.

The squad was distinctly Maya, bringing together colleagues from product development, engineering, technology, data science, consumer business, credit, enterprise, strategic partnerships, marketing, corporate affairs and strategy and programs. Its cross-functional character reflects the dynamic, people-centric culture at Maya, the Philippines’ leading digital financial services platform.

Maya defeated Shopee, 3–1, in the final at the Atleta ’63 Turf Field in Bridgetowne, Pasig City. The victory capped an unbeaten campaign from July to August, with the team winning all nine matches, scoring 31 goals and conceding only three.

The team advanced through victories over UnionBank, Wells Fargo, Shopee, GCash, JPMorgan Chase, RCM and Globe before defeating UnionBank, 2–0, in the semifinals.

“We came from very different teams across Maya, but on the pitch everyone had one priority: do what the team needed,” said Mohamed Omar Mahmoud, Maya football team co-captain and senior strategic partnerships officer. “People showed up, trained hard and trusted one another. Going 9–0 was special, but the best part was winning it together.”

Respect for people is one of the four pillars of Maya’s environmental, social and governance framework. Maya’s people strategy brings together professional development, health and wellness, workplace safety, and employee engagement, reflecting its view that well-being is important to how people perform and grow.

Sports and shared-interest activities complement these programs by giving colleagues more ways to stay active, connect beyond their usual teams and build relationships across the organization.

“At Maya, engagement goes beyond formal workplace programs,” said Charee Lanza,

Group Chief People Officer at Maya. “We want people to have opportunities to stay active, pursue shared interests and connect with colleagues they may not normally work with. This team showed how that energy, discipline and sense of ownership can bring people together.”

The Corporate Football League is an amateur football competition that brings together teams from companies and organizations across different industries. Its tournaments include corporate, mixed open and women’s categories, with corporate teams grouped into competitive divisions.

Activate your vivo Account, unlock more benefits

vivo is inviting smartphone users to activate their vivo Accounts to access a range of device services and Membership benefits, from digital warranty records and data backup to repair assistance, device protection, and member-exclusive perks.

The vivo Membership program gives customers a way to manage essential services and access benefits throughout their device ownership.

Single account for essential device services

Once activated, a vivo Account gives users access to their E-Warranty Card, allowing them to view their warranty status and policies digitally. This gives customers an easier way to keep track of their device coverage without relying on a physical warranty document.

The account also connects users to vivo Cloud and EasyShare, which can back up photos, contacts, and messages and make transferring data easier when upgrading to another vivo device.

For lost or stolen devices, Find Hub allows users to remotely locate, lock, or erase their phone. Members can also use their account to book repairs, locate service centers, and contact vivo customer support through Messenger, WhatsApp, and Live Chat.

Users can also access self-service tools to test, optimize, and manage their devices, giving them more options to address common device concerns on their own.

Membership unlocks more benefits

Beyond device services, activating a vivo Account lets customers join the vivo Membership program, which has three levels: Member, Silver, and Gold.

Membership levels are determined by accumulated EXP points. Customers earn 1 EXP point for every Php 1 spent on a phone, 10 EXP points per day for signing in to vivo.com, and 1,000 EXP points for registering an account.

The current membership classifications are:
Member: 0–29,999 EXP points
Silver: 30,000–39,999 EXP points
Gold: 40,000 EXP points and above
As membership levels increase, customers gain access to additional service benefits.

More perks at every membership level

Members receive one free screen protector per year, up to 12 free maintenance and inspection services per year, mobile phone detection, free repair service, and free mail-in repair service. They also receive free shipping for purchases with a minimum spend of Php 1,000.

Silver Members receive four free screen protectors per year, loaner phone service, and free shipping for life.

Gold Members receive six free screen protectors per year, priority customer service, a 10% discount on repair parts up to three times per year, loaner phone service, and free shipping for life.

“Membership is intended to make the services customers need after buying a vivo phone easier to access and understand,” said vivo Philippines Brand Marketing Director Liu Lu. “By bringing warranty information, device support, repair services, and membership benefits into one account, customers can continue to get value from their devices throughout their ownership.”

Activation takes only a few minutes

Customers can activate their vivo Account through the vivo Store app on their vivo smartphone. Users can open the vivo Store app, select Me, sign in using their Google account or email, and select Member to view their account and current EXP points.

vivo Product Experts can also assist customers with account registration and E-Warranty activation in stores. The activation process takes about two to three minutes, allowing customers to set up their account while completing their purchase.

With an activated vivo Account, customers can have their warranty information, device services, and Membership benefits connected to one account, giving them a more convenient way to manage their vivo experience beyond the point of purchase.

A World of Flavours Awaits at Café by Westside

From Filipino favourites and international comfort food to an abundant Saturday dinner buffet, Café by Westside gives diners more reasons to gather around the table.

Some meals call for a favourite you already know. Others are an invitation to try something new. At Café by Westside, the all-day dining restaurant of Grand Westside Manila Bay, guests can do a little of both.

Open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Café by Westside takes diners from early breakfasts to leisurely lunches and relaxed dinners. Its à la carte menu travels from Filipino favourites to Asian, Indian, Arabic and Western dishes, while Saturday evenings bring an even wider journey with the restaurant’s World of Flavours Dinner Buffet.

Whether it is breakfast before the day begins, lunch with colleagues, an afternoon meal with the family or a Saturday dinner with friends, the restaurant is designed around one simple pleasure: good food shared around the table.

From familiar favourites to something new: the à la carte menu

Café by Westside’s à la carte menu brings together dishes from home and farther afield, giving diners plenty to explore throughout the day.

Filipino flavours have a natural place on the menu. Kare-Kare, one of the restaurant’s chef signatures, pairs slow-cooked oxtail with a savoury peanut sauce and shrimp paste, while Home Style Sinigang brings the familiar comfort of a sour broth with a choice of shrimp, salmon, US beef or pork belly. Adobo, Crispy Pata, Lechon Kawali, Pinakbet with Bagnet and Pancit add to the line-up of well-loved local favourites.

Then the menu begins to travel.

Guests can move from Seafood Laksa, with prawns, squid and mussels in Malaysian coconut broth, to Pad Thai and Black Pepper Beef. Indian and Arabic selections include Murgh Makhani, Chicken Masala, Vegetable Korma, Chana Masala and Biryani, layered with spices, herbs and caramelized onions and offered with chicken, egg, seafood, vegetables or lamb.

For those craving something more familiar, the Signature Westside Burger, made with US Angus beef on a charcoal brioche bun, joins a selection of pasta, sandwiches and classic comfort food. Lighter choices include Lumpiang Sariwa, Thai Prawn and Pomelo Salad and Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Rolls.

“Good food should feel familiar, but there should always be something new to discover,” says Chef Chris Lugtu, Executive Chef of Grand Westside Manila Bay. “At Café by Westside, we bring together flavours our guests know and love with dishes they may be trying for the first time. For us, it’s about cooking food people genuinely enjoy and giving them a reason to come back for another plate.”

Save room for something sweet

The journey does not have to end with the main course. Café by Westside’s à la carte dessert selection includes Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, 24-Carat Moist Chocolate Mousse Cake, Sugar-Free Tiramisu and Westside Homemade Gelato, with flavours changing according to the day’s selection.

Whether stopping in for a favourite or choosing something new, the à la carte experience gives diners the freedom to make Café by Westside their own — from a quick lunch to a long catch-up over dessert.

Saturday nights become a World of Flavours

The à la carte menu may take diners around the world throughout the week, but on Saturday evenings, that spirit of discovery takes on a different form with Café by Westside’s World of Flavours Dinner Buffet.

Designed for diners who enjoy variety, the buffet brings different cuisines together in one generous spread. Guests can explore Filipino and Asian favourites, Indian and Middle Eastern flavours, Western classics, freshly prepared selections and desserts, building their own journey around the buffet one plate at a time.

There is no prescribed way to experience it. Start with something familiar, venture into a dish you have never tried before, return for a favourite — or discover something good enough to deserve a second helping.

Rather than centring the experience around any one cuisine, World of Flavours reflects the same approach that shapes Café by Westside: plenty of choice, familiar flavours alongside international discoveries, and food made to be enjoyed together.

It is an easy invitation to turn Saturday dinner into an occasion — gather the family, catch up with friends after a long week, or simply arrive hungry and see where the evening takes you.

“Dining has always been one of the ways people come together, and that sense of connection is very much part of the experience we want to create at Grand Westside,” says Joe Xavier Fijardo, General Manager of Grand Westside Manila Bay. “Café by Westside welcomes families, friends, travellers and our local community to share a table, enjoy good food and spend time together. World of Flavours gives them another reason to do just that.”

An all-day table in Westside City

Located in Westside City, Parañaque, Café by Westside is within easy reach of Entertainment City, SM Mall of Asia and Ninoy Aquino International Airport, making it a convenient dining destination for hotel guests, nearby residents, families and groups.

From breakfast before the day begins to an à la carte lunch or dinner, and a Saturday evening spent tasting your way around the world, Café by Westside offers an easy reason to gather — and perhaps discover a new favourite along the way.

Small Beginnings, Big Ambition: How Three Filipino Entrepreneurs Grew Their Negosyo with Maya Business

In photo (L-R): Mohammad Hadji Mahmod,  Von Bindolo, and Ma. Christine Vito

For many Filipino entrepreneurs, growing a negosyo doesn’t always begin with a big investment. Sometimes, it starts with just enough capital to restock in-demand products, expand what they can offer, or keep up with their customers.

For Ma. Christine Vito, Mohammad Hadji Mahmod, and Von Bindolo, that starting point was a Maya Advance loan of ₱10,000, ₱1,000, and ₱20,000, respectively. Each put that additional capital toward practical business needs: from inventory and everyday operations to services their customers were already looking for.

Over time, those small beginnings opened the door to bigger opportunities. By continuing to transact through Maya Business and responsibly managing their loans, all three were able to access more working capital as their businesses grew, turning their first relatively small loans into millions of pesos in Maya Advance loans utilized over time.

Christine: From a Sari-Sari Store to a Growing Grocery

For Ma. Christine Vito, becoming a business owner wasn’t always part of the plan. After completing an internship at a shipping company, where she gained experience selling dry goods, she became interested in running a business of her own.

Christine and her family eventually opened a small store in Boracay Island. When the property where it stood was sold, they relocated to Sebaste, Antique, where they started again with a sari-sari store.

During the pandemic, the store remained open to serve the community. As more customers came in for mobile load, bills payment, and cash-in and cash-out services, Christine began using Maya Business more actively, and soon found herself needing more inventory to keep up with demand.

She was initially hesitant when she was offered her first ₱10,000 Maya Advance loan, but decided to use it to purchase more products for the store.

“Noong una, natakot akong kumuha ng loan, pero dahil sa Maya Business, nagkaroon kami ng puhunan para tuloy-tuloy na mapalago ang negosyo namin.” (At first, I was afraid to take out a loan, but through Maya Business, we had the capital to continuously grow our business.)

As the negosyo grew, Christine continued putting additional capital back into the business. Since that first ₱10,000, she has utilized more than ₱3 million in Maya Advance loans over time.

What began as a small sari-sari store has since expanded into a mini grocery, with a kitchen and mini warehouse to support its operations. Her family has also purchased a vehicle for the negosyo, growth that Christine built one practical investment at a time.

Mohammad: Making the Most of His First ₱1,000

For Mohammad Hadji Mahmod, the first step was even smaller. After years of working as an OFW, Mohammad returned to the Philippines to help grow his family’s business in Boracay Island. He became a Maya Business user in 2023, offering mobile load, bills payment, and cash-in and cash-out services to customers in their community.

When his first Maya Advance offer came, it was for ₱1,000. Rather than waiting for a bigger amount, Mohammad saw an opportunity to put what was available to work. He used the funds for his load business, helping keep the service running while gradually building up his capital.

As he continued using Maya Business and responsibly managing his loans, he was able to access more working capital for the family negosyo. From that first ₱1,000, Mohammad has since utilized more than ₱2.2 million in Maya Advance loans over time, helping him sustain daily operations, expand his product offerings, and pursue new business opportunities.

“Hangga't may Maya Business, mas kampante akong patuloy na palaguin ang negosyo ng pamilya namin.” (As long as we have Maya Business, I feel more confident continuing to grow our family business.)

For Mohammad, it’s a mindset that has stayed the same since his first loan: start with what you have, put it to good use, and keep building from there.

Von: Turning Additional Capital Into New Opportunities

Von Bindolo’s journey with Maya Business began before she even took over her family’s sari-sari store. While working in Manila, she discovered Maya Business through Facebook and began selling mobile load to earn additional income through commissions. When she returned to Boracay to take over the family store from her mother, Maya Business became part of how she served customers in the community.

When the pandemic hit and tourism in Boracay came to a standstill, keeping the negosyo running became even more important. Von continued serving customers who relied on the store for mobile load, bills payment, and cash-in and cash-out services.

Her first ₱20,000 Maya Advance loan gave her additional working capital to keep investing in the business during a difficult period.

“Malaking bagay kahit maliit lang ang puhunan, lalo na kapag ginagamit mo para madagdagan ang paninda at mapagsilbihan nang mas maayos ang mga suki. Unti-unti, nakita ko rin na kaya palang lumago ang negosyo namin.” (Even a small amount of capital can make a big difference, especially when you use it to add more products and serve your regular customers better. Little by little, I also saw that our business could really grow.)

Since that first loan, Von has utilized more than ₱2.6 million in Maya Advance loans over time. The additional capital has helped her grow sales and invest back into the negosyo, including purchasing an e-bike for daily operations. Her growing business has also helped support her child’s education.

What started as a sari-sari store passed down by her mother continues to grow into a negosyo that supports both her family and the community around her.

Small Capital Can Go a Long Way

Christine, Mohammad, and Von started with different businesses and different amounts. What they shared was how they chose to use that capital: putting it toward real, everyday needs that could help their negosyo move forward.

As their businesses grew, so did the opportunities available to them. What began with inventory, load, and daily operating needs eventually helped make room for bigger investments: from expanding a sari-sari store into a mini grocery to purchasing vehicles and exploring new sources of income.

Through Maya Business, entrepreneurs can access digital tools and services for everyday business needs, from accepting QR Ph payments to offering mobile load, bills payment, and cash-in and cash-out services. Eligible Maya Business users can also access additional working capital through Maya Advance.

For Filipino entrepreneurs, growing a negosyo doesn’t always mean starting big. Sometimes, it means making the most of the capital you have, putting it where it can make a difference, and building from there.

Because a small first step can eventually take a negosyo much further.
