"The Strangers" is one of the official entries to Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2012)
Beware : "The Strangers" is One of the official entries to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2012).
The
Strangers is the Filipino teen horror film directed by Lawrence

Guzman, with Janice De Belen, Cherry Pie Picache, Jaime Fabregas, Johnny Revilla and Nico Antonio.
The
story takes places on a a family who get lost in a province and start being
hunted by the strangers. Dolfo ( Enchong Dee) is one of the Aswangs. He
will fall in love with Patricia ( Julia Montes) and will protect her from danger.
The Strangers focuses on a family of the five that tries to put aside their different on the eve of their kids' 18th birthday. Fraternal twins Pat (Julie Montes) and Max (Enrique Gil) prepare to go their annual out-of-town trip. Accompanied by their parents Roy (Johnny Revilla) and Evelyn (Cherry Pie Picache), their grandparent Pete (Jaime Fabregas) and his temporary caretaker Paloma (Janine de Belen), as well as their newly-hired driver Toning (Nico Antonio), they set off for the far-flung town of Murcia.

"Eat, Pray, Love" Beautiful Quotes
I love and remember the movie "Eat, Pray Love" as ever. When I'm looking for beautiful quotes, I think of what I love quotes from that movie. I also read the book of Elizabeth
Gilbert - Eat, Pray, Love. I love many of the quotes, anecdotes, words of wisdom from Eat, Pray, Love that always encourage us to eat well, pray and
love passionately.
Here are some quotes:
“Happiness
is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist
upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to
participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once
you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about
maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that
happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
“People
think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a
true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding
you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change
your life. “
“Look
for God. Look for God like a man with his head on fire looks for water.”
“I’m
here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long, I
will stay with you. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will
protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am
stronger than Depression and I am braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever
exhaust me.”
“You
need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your
clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control
things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should
be trying to control.”
“The
love that moves the sun and the other stars.”
“To
be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow - this is a human offering
that can border on miraculous.”
“In
desperate love, we always invent the characters of our partners, demanding they
be what we need of them, and then feeling devastated when they refuse to
perform the role we created in the first place.”
“We’re
miserable because we think that we are mere individuals, alone with our fears
and flaws and resentment and mortality.”
“Your
treasure – your perfection – is within you already. But to claim it, you must
leave the busy commotion of the mind and abandon the desires of the ego and
enter into the silence of the heart.”
“You
need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your
clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control
things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should
be trying to control.”
“In
a world of disorder and disaster and fraud, sometimes only beauty can be
trusted. The appreciation of pleasure can be an anchor to one’s humanity.”
“God
is an experience of supreme love.”
“Learning
how to discipline your speech is a way of preventing your energies from
spilling out of you through the rupture of your mouth, exhausting you and
filling the world with words, words, words instead of serenity, peace and
bliss.”
“There
is a reason they call God a presence – because God is right here, right now. In
the present is the only place to find Him, and now is the only time.”
