What began as a bold vision to spotlight Filipino music has evolved into one of the country’s most anticipated annual music festivals. Now in its fifth year, Aurora continues to bring together some of the biggest names in OPM, creating a rare live music experience where multiple generations of Filipino artists share one massive stage.

For its milestone edition, the festival is pulling out all the stops. Headlining the two-day celebration are SB19 and IV OF SPADES, two of the most influential acts shaping the modern Filipino music scene today. IV OF SPADES seals creative rebirth with release of Andalucia on vinyl

The band  IV OF SPADES brings their most personal and sonically adventurous album on vinyl, reaffirming the enduring value of physical media

Award-winning Filipino pop-rock powerhouse IV OF SPADES continues to ramp up the celebration of their highly anticipated comeback with the exclusive vinyl release of their critically acclaimed album, Andalucia.

The new record will be available in a thousand copies for its first vinyl pressing, with a few of them already available during the first and second day of IV OF SPADES’ concert, which took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 12 and 13, 2025.

For those unable to attend the concert, worry not! Andalucia will be available starting December 15, 2025, through Backspacer Records via their official website.

“Andalucia feels like a special snapshot of where we are in our lives right now,” shares the acclaimed quartet in a press statement. “This is the first vinyl of IV OF SPADES. Pangarap din namin ito.”

Forged in friendship and fueled by freedom, the album reflects their evolution from breakout stars to generational rock icons

Filipino pop-rock powerhouse IV OF SPADES marks their long-awaited comeback with the release of their sophomore album, Andalucia, arriving on November 5, 2025, on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

After a six-year hiatus and seven years since their last full-length album, CLAPCLAPCLAP! (2019), the iconic quartet reunites with a record that captures the essence of friendship, artistic maturity, and rediscovered unity. Cementing their legacy as one of the defining acts of modern OPM, Andalucia reveals softness that exists in codes, articulating scenarios and moments in cryptic but poetic exquisiteness, never finding the need to explain or elaborate.

Following a surprise reunion last July through the double release of “Aura” and “Nanaman,” IV OF SPADES presents Andalucia as the full realization of their creative rebirth. “We needed to prioritize ourselves and our relationship first before working on a new project while we weren’t okay,” the multi-awarded band shares in a press statement. “It would’ve felt meaningless if we hadn’t fixed our bond before returning to making music.”

Co-produced by the Aura act with Brian Lotho and Emil Dela Rosa, Andalucia features twelve tracks that traverse genres and emotions while maintaining the band’s penchant for introspective songwriting and subtle sonic experiments. Leading the record is the explosive focus track “Monster,” a vibrant yet gritty rock anthem that fuses retro influences with modern edge. Other highlights include “Aura,” the first song the band wrote together after reuniting; “Nanaman,” featuring Blaster Silonga on vocals; “Suliranin,” an escapist anthem that invites listeners to leave their worries behind and eventually lose themselves; and “Konsensya,” a crossover tune with ‘90s alt, indie, and Britpop influences.

The chart-topping band explains, “Thematically speaking, we talk about things in life: flaws, people, and topics that often aren’t discussed openly. It’s more fun now because we have more songs. The direction is clearer, and the process is more collaborative.”

In making Andalucia, IV OF SPADES approached production with spectacle grounded in authenticity. “We wanted a sound that we could play live,” they share. “The production is ambitious, so we started by jamming the songs before recording them.”

After years apart, the band found their chemistry intact, perhaps stronger than ever. Their creative process was guided not by ego, but by intuition and respect.

Behind the music, moments of simplicity reminded them why they started making music together in the first place. “What truly matters are the small things. Eating together. Whoever’s late buys the coffee. Sometimes we’d turn off the aircon, so we’d all be sweating while recording.”

The release of Andalucia coincides with the band’s sold-out December 12, 2025, concert at the Mall of Asia Arena, with December 13 recently added due to overwhelming demand. IV OF SPADES are finally back!

After going on hiatus to pursue their respective solo careers and side projects, the Filipino rock supergroup breaks their silence with the surprise release of “Aura,” their first single since 2020’s “Sariling Multo (Sa Panaginip).”

Produced by IV OF SPADES and Brian Lotho, the song explores themes of longing and unconditional love, searching for meaning and home among the sea of people.

Accompanying the release of “Aura” is a music video directed and produced by the award-winning team at Lunchbox. Shot on a scenic hilltop, the visuals capture the band in candid moments: walking, goofing around, and enjoying their time together. It’s both intimate and cinematic, reminding fans of the chemistry that once made IV OF SPADES a household name.

The comeback single also serves as IV OF SPADES’ first official release under their new label, Sony Music Entertainment, and new management, Balcony Music Entertainment.

Acer,  kicked off its annual Acer Day celebration themed “Play Music Together” last July20  at the Glorietta Palm Drive Activity Center doubled as a concert and dance show featuring Moira dela Torre and IV of Spades, both youth music icons of today, as well as renowned dance troupe the G-Force. 

Introduced last year, Acer Day, the global leader in computer hardware technologies, saw its beginnings in 14 countries across Pan-Asia Pacific. This year, the celebration grows as 20 countries in the region join in on the fun.
