FUJIFILM Instax launches the most exciting way you can preserve life’s best moments through FUJIFILM biggest DIY event this summer - “Instax and Crafts” held at the Ayala Malls Market! Market! Activity Center last Saturday, April 9. 

The digital age and social media culture has vastly changed the way millennials preserve and keep their memories. At the “Instax and Crafts” workshop, guests and Instax enthusiasts spend an afternoon of arts and crafts workshops with Mikko Sumulong of I Try DIY and Marielle Nadal-Reyes of Craft MNL, while indie folk band The Ransom Collective entertained the crowd with their musical performance. Event attendees learned different and creative ways of how they can keep and showcase their photos through DIY greeting cards and paper-die cut mobile.

Creating keepsakes, memories, collecting anything you don't want to lose, most especially photos, postcards and even recipes - that's Scrapbooking. 

Scrapbooking will never get old. It’s fun, creative, and brimming with nostalgic memories. Even if it has become less of an activity these days, many still consider it as their favorite hobby or past time. After all, experts say that it has plenty of health benefits like improving your well-being and mental functions.

Studies have shown that scrapbooking is a good stress-buster, serving as a quiet distraction from the cares of the world. It can help you get that sense of accomplishment and boost your confidence especially when you are able to finish a project. It improves concentration and focus as well. Instax Share

Instax Share is one of the most innovative and handy printing solution to Instax cameras and mobile devices. Simply download the app, FUJIFILM Instax Share; send your photos through the app, and print as much as you can, anytime, anywhere. Available are a variety of templates for the printed photos: real time, limited edition, SNS (for Facebook and Instagram), square, seasonal and standard. 

When you select real time template and take a photo, the date, place, weather, temperature, and humidity are indicated in the frame. Since you cannot make a copy with this template, the photo will be the one and only in the world.

With limited edition, each print is numbered so it looks like a limited item. A memory shared with people you cherish will be even more precious.

The SNS template is for printing images uploaded to social networking sites. The photo is printed together with the number of likes it got.

The square template fits the photo into a square so that there will be space for writing your thoughts, mood, and messages. 

Seasonal templates allow you to design the printed photo in different designs to fit a special occasion: birthday, christening, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc. 

If you like things simple, the standard template is just as good.

The Intax Share also has filter options with your choice of black and white or sepia. Using FUJIFILM digital cameras, you can easily send photos to Instax Share and directly print your photos.

Instax Camera

This instant camera is cuteness overload packed with basic photography settings you can play around with. The entry level Instax Mini 8, for instance, automatically determines the best brightness for taking a picture, and informs you of the suitable setting by lighting the corresponding lamp. While setting the brightness adjustment dial to the high-key mode mark allows you to take pictures with a softer impression.

Fun day 

During the event, mommies and friends were treated to a demonstration of how photos from Instax cameras don’t immediately fade even if they’ve been submerged in water for a certain amount of time. They were also encouraged to take photos using Instax cameras as well as download and print the photos from their mobile devices using the Instax Share. 

They then proceeded to create their most beautiful scrapbook from their printed photos and the accessories made available to them at the Wonder Photo Shop.

Launched last June, the Wonder Photo Shop-Tokyo in Ayala-U.P.
