Neocolours with new single "Giliw” - To hold 30th anniversary concert at the Music Museum

One of the biggest names in the OPM scene, Neocolours, makes its long-awaited comeback with the release of the single "Giliw,” 19 years after their last recorded release. The brand-new song, written by Jimmy Antiporda, exemplifies the sound that they've been famous for -- well crafted musical performance that would bring an emotional impact to their long time listeners and a growing new generation of listeners. “Giliw” is now available digitally on iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon and Spotify under Universal Records.

Neocolours' songs have been a mainstay of many Filipino listeners’ playlists. Their songs such as ‘Maybe,’ ‘Kasalanan Ko Ba,’ ‘Hold On,’ ‘Say You'll Never Go’ and ‘Tuloy Pa Rin’ have transcended generational barriers, and are repeatedly re-recorded by some of the country's top recording artists such as Erik Santos, Kyla, Noel Cabangon, and Nyoy Volante to name a few. On top of this, their hits have a combined listenership of close to 10 million streams on Spotify.

Aside from the completion of a new album in 2018, Neocolours' other music activities includes a 30th year anniversary show “Tuloy Pa Win…And Awit" at the Music Museum on April 28, as well as a national tour for the rest of the year.

Neocolours are composed of Ito Rapadas (Vocalist), Jimmy Antiporda (Keyboards), Jack Rufo (Lead Guitar), Paku Herrera (Bass Guitar) and Nino Regalado (Drums).

The country’s premier bossa nova singing act Sitti will celebrate the 10th anniversary of her music scene breakthrough in electrifying fashion, an experiment! The two-night live concert dubbed ElectroSITTI  to be held at the Music Museum (1502 in Greenhills, San Juan) on November 25 and 26.

Collaborating with her friend and EDM master DJ Silverfilter. as she hopes to please more younger-generation music fans.

“I’m having fun doing EDM and I am working on a new album that will showcase my experimentation with it. I like to introduce myself to the younger market,” explained Sitti who is visually glowing a year after tying the knot with the love of her life, businessman and music aficionado Joey Ramirez.

“It’s both exciting and challenging to do something you’re not known for. I became friends with artists from the EDM community and I thought of embracing the genre and tie it up with the 10th anniversary of the release of my first album Café Bossa,” as Sitti shared.

Café Bossa was released in January 2006 and spawned hit singles including “Para Sa Akin” and her versions of “I Didn’t Know I Was Looking For Love” and “Tattooed On My Mind.” By September that year the album was certified Double Platinum, with over 60,000 units sold.

ElectoSITTI, also serving as Sitti’s birthday concert as she turns 32 on November 29, will be a two-part show, the first one paying homage to her bossa nova roots, and the latter hour presenting her in a new light – bright and booming. And the loud and festive birthday party begins.

The multi-talented charming woman, who is also into acting both on stage, having performed in “Katy The Musical” and “Spring Awakening,” and on TV, appearing on past ABS-CBN shows “Isabella” and “Your Song,” will have rapper Looney and balladeer Jason Dy as guests. The UST Percussion Ensemble will also be on stage to share spotlight with her.

She is managed by Asian Artists Agency and is signed with MCA Music major record label which by coincidence asked her to employ electronic music for her new album.

Fans have something more to feel excited about as Sitti already wrote a couple of songs called “Tangled” and “Bid Your Love” and will unleash both live and ground-shaking come ElectroSITTI nights.

Sitti had come a long way since performing in her first gig at a hotel in Roxas Boulevard that already changed its name today.

She noted, “You got to pay your dues to make it. I did that for four years before getting my big break. There will be ups and downs in anybody’s career but the important thing is you are enjoying the gig and you always welcome change.”

Sitti Celebrates 10th Year Via ElectroSITTI

Sitti celebrates her 10 years in the music industry as a bossa nova artist with a concert and an album launch.

The concert billed ElectroSITTI doubles as her birthday celebration. ElectroSITTI is also the title of her new album.

ElectroSITTI is a two- day event set on November 25 and 26, 2016, 8:00PM at the Music Museum. Her guests include Jason Dy, Loonie, Silver Filter and the UST Percussion Ensemble.

The concert is divided into two parts. The first part features Sitti as her old self singing her bossanova hits. She will also perform a cut from the new album entitled, Tangled. The second part will see Sitti in a combination of bossa nova songs and EDM with her good friend DJ Silver Filter, who is a Pinoy DJ known in the indie scene.

One of these songs is “Bid You Love”, about feeling too much and being filled with so much desire. Audiences can still chill out and dance at the same time.

Sitti is prepping up for this concert by listening to EDM playlists whenever she’s running or driving to get the pulse of EDM. It’s her first time to listen to EDM covers. Sitti notes that in the EDM scene, the singers have strong vocal prowess. Her cross over to Electronic Dance Music, Sitti believes,, is one of God’s perfect plans. She is confident that the SITTIZENS will like the new changes in life. “My fans are mature now and change has come. You just have to enjoy the ride without losing yourself along the way.”

According to her, she is still the same old Sitti, only that, the music background has changed. “It’s a mixture of new elements. Its an experiment.” She doesn’t believe she has down sides in her life. Her career, her music, her fans, her family balance everything in her life.

The SITTIZENS are what keep her from continuing her singing. Sitti is happily married to businessman and triathlete Joey Ramirez. She says that being married has worked to her advantage. Joey has given her courage and confidence. In fact, Joey is the first person who listens to her songs whenever she has new compositions. Joey is a church choir member and plays the guitar.

She hopes that ElectroSITTI will reach a lot of people. She is very thankful for every opportunity that has come her way. She is grateful that TV networks and radio stations continue play her songs.

Sitti’s last album was released in 2015 entitled, “Singles Bossa Nova III”.

SABEL is back!

After rave performances which had audiences clamoring for more, SABEL: LOVE & PASSION returns to the Music Museum on August 11 and 12, 8pm starring the luminous Iza Calzado who narrates and performs as National Artist Ben Cabrera’s infamous madwoman of the streets.

The Philippine Ballet Theater dances out the whole story while singers Aicelle Santos, Bo Cerrudo, Joaquin Pedro Valdes and Timmy Pavino sing out the vocals with Music and Musical Direction by Louie Ocampo and Lyrics, Script and Direction by Freddie Santos. Video Sonic is in charge of the complex Video Mapping projected against abstract sets designed by Joe Tecson.

With all the noise being made by huge stage productions, this little gem of a show has been making a mark of its own. SABEL: LOVE & PASSION, a show that defies classification (Stage musical? Ballet recital? Pop concert?) returns on August 11 and 12, 8pm at the Music Museum.

Inspired by National Artist Ben Cabrera’s famous paintings of a madwoman of the streets, SABEL: LOVE & PASSION stars the beautiful Iza Calzado who narrates the entire show while acting in the title role. The Philippine Ballet Theater, choreographed by Ronilo Jaynario, dances out the twists and turns of the story with song vocals rendered by renowned singers Aicelle Santos, Bo Cerrudo, Joaquin Pedro Valdes and Timmy Pavino. Music and Musical Direction by Louie Ocampo with Lyrics, Script and Direction by Freddie Santos. Video Mapping is executed by Video Sonic while Joe Tecson is in charge of the abstract sets.

Call Music Museum at (insert telephone numbers) to grab the few remaining tickets left!

“A teleserye crammed into an hour and half…” says one of the country’s top editors and that barely describes SABEL: LOVE & PASSION, a “little” show that has had packed audiences raving. So much so that it now makes a “small” comeback on August 11 and 12, 8pm at the Music Museum.

Difficult to describe though not to understand, SABEL: LOVE & PASSION is a musical cum ballet recital cum pop concert cum, yes, teleserye all packed into one hour and thirty minutes and performed without an intermission.

Intriguing to say the least, this production is inspired by the paintings of National Artist Ben Cabrera featuring a madwoman of the streets. Narrating the show as well as performing in the title role is the highly-praised film actress Iza Calzado, acting for the first time ever on stage. Dancing out the whole story to the choreography of Ronilo Jaynario is the Philippine Ballet Theater while the songs are performed by concert singers Aicelle Santos, Bo Cerrudo, Joaquin Pedro Valdes and Timmy Pavino. Renowned pop hitmaker Louie Ocampo handles the Music and Musical Direction while Aliw Awards Hall of Fame Director Freddie Santos is in charge of the lyrics, script and stage direction. Backgrounded by an abstract set designed by Joe Tecson, the show also serves as a canvas for high-tech video mapping as designed and executed by Video Sonic. If it takes this much to describe this “little” show, one can only imagine how much show there actually is to enjoy.

Tickets are very limited. Call TicketWorld (891-9999) and at Music Museum Ticketron (721-6726) now!

Callalily and 6cyclemind join forces to "Switch!" on June 7

Two of Philippine’s hottest bands Callalily and 6cyclemind join forces to bring you “SWITCH”, one of this year’s most anticipated events in the local music industry. This is their very first time, back-to-back major concert!

This SWITCH will be held on June 7, 2013 at the Music Museum. Audience should look forward to this special back-to-back concert as it will feature both bands’ hits and exciting surprises! Get to experience what “SWITCH” is all about!
During the mini TV press and bloggers conference last Tuesday, May 7, 2013 held at Sir Boy's Food Republic, Panay Quezon City,  Kean Cipriano and Tutti Caringal shared to us that the SWITCH idea started when Callalily and 6cyclemind were doing regular back-to-back shows in 70’s bistro. The response from fans were positive that they asked “Why not bring this to a bigger platform and make it a major concert?!”.

This will definitely be a great way to give back to their fans and treat them to an extraordinary show.

SWITCH will also showcase the brotherhood between the two bands. The Callalily boys comprised of Kean Cipriano, Aaron Ricafrente, Lemuel Belaro and Tatsi Jamnague consider the 6cyclemind boys (Tutti Caringal, Bobby Cañamo, Rye Sarmiento, Herbert Hernandez and Vic Aquino) as one of their mentors who introduced them in the local music industry when they were still starting out. Both bands have come a long way but it will be good to know that their relationship has strengthened throughout the years.

This is an important event not only for Callalily and 6cyclemind but also for the local music industry in general as it will show that fans are still supportive of local artists in spite of the influx of foreign acts and that there are more good things to look forward to in Filipino music.
