OPM Pop Icon and Hitmaker Nonoy Zuñiga will be doing a series of shows as his tribute to versatile performing artists and his way of promoting local talents. 

On August 9 & 16, 2019, a jazz singer and actor-comedian Joey San Andres who has been playing with his band, The Mailbox for several years will be featured in the initial shows of NONOY ZUÑIGA PRESENTS at Johnny Be Good in the Level 3 of Glorietta 3, Ayala Center of Makati City. Showtime is at 9pm. 

To recall, Nonoy and Joey grew up in Kamuning, Quezon City and in their younger years both were choir members of Sacred Heart Parish Church.

Their passion for music continues up to these days even if Nonoy Zuñiga graduated Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sto Tomas and Joey San Andres holds a high position in the government service while managing his restaurants. 

In a special participation is Queenie Rehman a singer-model and actress. She is also a beat boxer and a finalist in 2012 Miss World. 

NONOY ZUÑIGA PRESENTS is a series of shows that will be an avenue for promoting versatile and very talented performers of the country.

Do you remember some hits songs like "Doon Lang," "Kumusta ka" "Magandang Gabi and "Never Ever Said Goodbye"? 

Pop Icon and Hitmaker Nonoy Zuñiga  will stage “Nonoy Zuñiga Through The Years” on March 13, 2019 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila.

The show landmarks Nonoy’s commitment to seriously support fresh talents in the music industry. It’s his pay-it-forward thing for his 45 years as a singer of much-loved songs.

Nonoy Zuñiga’s singing career spans more than 3 decades, as a folk singer from 1971 to 1975 and then as one of the lead singers of the Family Birth Control Band which performed in venues like Philippine Plaza, Holiday Inn, and the Manila Hotel from 1975 – 1980. All his performances in the United States from 1983 to the present are well-acclaimed. He has also performed in various countries such as Australia, Japan, South Korea, China and New Zealand.

Some of  Zuñiga songs are “Doon Lang”, “Kamusta Ka?”, “Magandang Gabi”, and “Never Ever Said Goodbye”.

As some friends call him Doc,  Zuñiga is also a Doctor of Medicine graduate from University of Sto Tomes. Being a skincare specialist, together with a professional esthetician, Ms. Sylvia Cancio who owns Piel Acne and Skin Clinic in New Year they established Piel Skincare Center in Cebu City. At present Nonoy enjoys his life traveling Las Vegas (where his children reside) to Manila and Cebu City managing Peil Skincare Center.

Upcoming talent Jessel Kempis will have an “introducing” billing at the milestone concert of  Zuñiga. Think she’s too shy to make a name as a professional singer, but then it doesn’t take her long to warm up to people and to begin telling anecdotes about their life and her parents.

Jeselle reveals “I am trained pop singer. I’ve been training since chilhood and singing in private events. It has hardly occured to me taht I can perform in a professional concert for which people have to buy tickets. I’m both happy and nervous to perform at “Nonoy Zuñiga Through The Years”.

The concert’s seasoned guest are South Border, Nyoy Volante, and Mitch Valdez, with Andrew de Real as stage director and Bobby Gomez as musical director with the Brothers Unlimited. 

“Nonoy Zuñiga Through The Years” is produced by OGK Entertainment Production for the benefit of Calamba Doctors Medical Educational and Science Foundation Inc (CDMESFI) and Manila East Medical Educational and Science Foundation, Inc.

Jam, dance the night away and let the good times roll in time of RJ anniversary month with a special show 'Jam & Dance with FBC Rebirth Band' on July 20 at RJ Bistro, Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City.

The show with special guest, the Pop Icon, OPM hitmaker Nonoy Zuñiga, whose singing career spans more than three decades, well known with many timeless classic songs, like 'Never Ever Say Goodbye,' 'Doon Lang', 'Kumusta Ka' and 'Love Without Time.' Zuniga is also one of the lead singers of the Family Birth Control Band when he lost his right limb making him a collateral damage of Martial Law.

Zuñiga will jam with FBC Rebirth (formerly the Family Birth Control) who still performs the disco music and popular tunes that made them popular in the live disco scene 40 years ago, performs in the best nightspots and hotels. FBC Rebirth is still with the original members: Jiji Sanchez, Toots Almazan, Ferdy Flores, Peachy Murillo, Jess Balmaceda, Sammy Villarin, Gee Carlos, Danny Trias, Dex Ansay, Nilo Villanueva and Edwin Valente. 

As an accomplished singer, Zuñiga's part of his advocacy, supports new and upcoming singers. At the 'Jam & Dance with FBC Rebirth' show,' introducing young and pretty Pauline 'Pau' Cueto, wlll do the front act.

Pau, 16 years old, whose self-entitled out in the market and once a weekly contender of TV5's Born to be A Star. At the interview with her last Thursday, July 14, she shared us that she composes songs and she plays instruments such as guitar, flute, keyboard and drums.

Her first album 'Pauline Cueto' contains various songs such as "All I Do", "Ingatan Mo", "Bestfriend Forever" and her first single "Dreamboy Ng Buhay Ko' is getting its share of followers across different radio stations. The album is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, RDIO, Guvera, Amazon and various digital stores.

Philippine's famous balladeer Zuñiga released his latest digital single, “Sigaw Ng Puso” by Barney Borja now available at iTunes, Spotify and Dezzeer.

Zuñiga is now a certified Skin Care Specialist and is a partner of Piel Skin Acne and Wellness Center in Makati Place located at 7232 Ayala Avenue Extension Corner Malugay Street, Makati City.
