The traditional Baked Mooncakes come in a box of 2 and 4. Each set of four Baked Mooncakes will feature a unique music box packaging and has two variants: the regular box of 4, and a premium box of 4 which includes three special sauces. A little quirkier, Snow Skin Mooncakes come in a set of 5 placed in a miniature fridge.

The Baked Mooncakes come in 4 varieties to choose from. All feature double egg yolk centers complemented by an assortment of rich and flavorful pastes. The mango paste and dried mango snow skin mooncake exhibits the versatility of the popular Philippine fruit, while the raisin and Ang Pili nut lotus paste version exudes a balance between a buttery almond fullness and plummy notes. The custard paste and Palet Noir chocolate snow skin mooncake gives an appealing bittersweet bite, and the strawberry snow skin mooncake with lotus paste and rum hazelnut chocolate is a combination of flavors that render varying degrees of sweet, and a nutty effect. Talent that knows no impossibilities

A big voice in her own right, Jessica Sanchez is back to perform with an edgier look and a sound that is her own. Catch up with the powerhouse voice on November 10, 2018 in her self-entitled concert “Jessica Sanchez with special guest Martin Nievera” happening at The Theatre at Solaire.

Jessica Sanchez’s story is one that begins when a shy 16-year old girl dominated the stage with a voice that can go head-to-head with some of history’s icons. It may seem like she was dealt a lucky card, but behind the curtains, it couldn’t be anywhere near the truth.

“I was so young when American Idol happened,” she says. “I learned so much from the show, the people, and the experience afterwards. It prepared me for what was to come, the constant hustle and hard work.”

Born from immigrant parents who have established their lives in the United States and being in one of the world’s most watched singing competitions, one would hear many Filipinos say Jessica Sanchez was living the American dream. Some argued, however, that she was too American to be celebrated by Filipinos, adding the fact that she has never set foot in the Philippines prior her AI stint. But it was this opportunity that helped her touch base with a part of her identity that she has yet to fully discover.

“My first time being in the Philippines was for the Idol tour. I was so excited for my first trip to my mom’s homeland. It all happened so fast, but I remember it being full of amazing food, amazing people and amazing moments.” Jessica recalls.

The impact of the memories has not evaded her. In the years that followed, the Philippines saw Jessica perform on local television programs, radio shows, and held a concert for her freshman album. Her constant appearance has prompted most to wonder whether she will be back again, or maybe stay for good. Although with no certainty just yet, Jessica shares, “I try to visit at least once a year. I’m half-Filipino so I’m always wanting to learn and experience more of the culture.”

Contrary to stated prejudices, Jessica is more Filipino than meets the eye. Just like other Filipinos who quest for greener pastures under the star-spangled flag, she also fell prey to the unforgiving eyes of those who saw her as an outsider, sticking out amid fair skin, corn-hued hair and colored sights. Despite the fragility that her youth has handed, her voice set her apart – a voice that commands and resists to be contained. And just as what her Pinoy compatriots do best, she persisted with an awakened innate resiliency - a Filipino quality that ultimately shaped her. She says that times have changed, and minds are more open, especially in the business of entertainment. Truly, Hollywood has seen an influx of Filipino heritage gracing its regal red carpets. Apl de Ap of the popular group Black Eyed Peas – someone who Jessica considers as a friend – is one that has made a dent in the once highly exclusive music industry, and has at the same time, continued to wave the three stars and the sun.

“It’s been harder in the past for Asian Americans to make a name in the industry, but I feel that now, it isn’t impossible.”

Believing that Filipino talent knows no impossibilities, Solaire’s Director for Entertainment Audie Gemora shares what’s special about this concert, “We were all witness to how Jessica rose above every challenge she had to face in the cutthroat Hollywood scene. Although she has found her footing in the United States, this concert will represent rediscovering her Filipino roots and bringing her beloved Filipino fans with her in that journey. The night’s performances will speak of every Filipino artist’s hustle that each must go through to make it in the music industry, and more importantly, the potential to become a global sensation.”

Now 23, Jessica has kept the momentum going, but at her own pace, “These past years have been filled with traveling internationally for events, concerts, and recordings, but I’ve also taken some time to step back and find myself as an artist.”

Her upcoming concert will show her evolution and versatility as an artist with songs that are deemed as Filipino favorites such as “I Will Always Love You”, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" and “I Have Nothing”, which are coincidentally, among her Idol performance repertoire. This night will also see a new Jessica that’s bolder and grittier as she sings R&B songs alike that speak of her edge and vibrancy.

It has been seven years since her almost-victory. Bitter-sweet as it may sound, Jessica still feels blessed. “I am able to live my life doing what I love. I was given a platform on Idol when I was 16 and have accomplished things I’ve dreamed of," she says.

Even with the dominant Western look and feel brought by the land that cradled her, she continues to beat blood in her veins that epitomizes what the Filipino talent can reach and the kind of stage that it deserves.

Music and Laughter concert called “Sana Tatlo Ang Puso Ko" at The Theatre at Solaire

Grand Leisure Corporation presents its second concert for its Music and Laughter series called “Sana Tatlo Ang Puso Ko,” featuring OPM legend Rico J Puno, sultry host-actress Giselle Sanchez, and singer-comedienne Marissa Sanchez, slated for November 23 at The Theatre at Solaire.

After the success of Music and Laughter concert top-billed by the Man with Many Faces and Voices Willie Nepomuceno and music icon Nonoy Zuñiga last July 27, at the Theatre at Solaire, Grand Leisure Corporation produces a sequel titled "Sana Tatlo ang Puso Ko," which will be headlined by OPM Legend Rico Puno, together with talented performer-comediennes Giselle Sanchez and Marissa Sanchez.

The massively entertaining show is set to happen on November 23, also at the Theatre.

Noted for his propensity for naughtiness whenever he performs, Rico says that “Sana Tatlo ang Puso Ko” is going to be full of surprises.

He adds, “It has the vibe of a real treat, that feeling that you don’t know what to expect. I always want to expect a show to be like that, spontaneous. If not, we should retire.

"You cannot explain magic, can you? This show will click not because I am part of it, but because it’s an evening that will make you anticipate every moment.”

Also known as Rico J and The Total Entertainer, the 65-year-old singer is famous for his on-stage performances infused with tongue-in-cheek comedy and adult humor.

Meanwhile, Giselle Sanchez was 22 when she and Rico J started doing shows together.

“I was branded the girl [version of] Rico Puno because I was also known for naughty jokes. But it was all always double meaning because I couldn’t mouth sexual words.

"After working with Rico Puno, I realized that my jokes were not naughty. Compared to him, I am clean and wholesome,” laughs Giselle.

“Rico will just say risqué words nonchalantly na parang wala lang. My colegiala sensibilities were totally shocked.”

For her part,  Marissa Sanchez got to work with Rico J in 2000.

He saw her performing at a hotel and told Marissa, “Kukunin kitang front act kapag nagso-show ako dito ha.”

Instantly, she learned one of Rico J’s secrets to a lasting career.

She recalls what RICO J told her when she was a newbie: “Kahit mahusay kang singer, kung wala kang rapport sa tao, you will not be able to connect with them. Kausapin mo sila, magpatawa ka [You have to talk to them, make them laugh].

Marissa remarks that Rico belongs to a music era in which the songs were more lyrical. “When he sings, you get the message of the song immediately,” she says.

Giselle agrees, “His songs are classics. All his jokes are phenomenal and funny. Even if it’s scandalous, the people who watch it are not offended at all.”

Rico Puno started in the business performing at folk houses and small clubs in Metro Manila. His first single was “Love Won't Let Me Wait,” while his first big hit was the Taglish version of Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were.” His other hit songs included “Kapalaran,” “Buhat,” “Macho Gwapito,” “Lupa,” “May Bukas Pa,” “Ang Tao'y Marupok,” and “Magkasuyo Buong Gabi.”

In 1976, Puno won Aliw Awards’ Most Promising Entertainer. Two years later, he was hailed as Aliw's Entertainer of the Year.

His Rico in Concert show in the ‘70s at the Cultural Center of the Philippines cemented his status as one of the leading Philippine pop stars.

Four decades later, he still sees performing as “a never-ending learning story.”

In his heyday, Rico had this tremendous “tough guy” appeal to women.

Giselle affirms, “When I was just six, my Cebu-based aunt was a big Rico Puno fan. I would tell her, ‘Tita, he isn’t really that handsome,’ to which my aunt would reply, ‘You should hear his voice.’”

Marissa looks up to Rico Puno. “The mere fact that we’re doing a show with him is already a big honor.”

Giselle says that “Sana Tatlo ang Puso Ko” is not to be missed because it’s going to be a combination of great music, good laughs, and gifted performers.

“Marissa is a talented singer and comedienne and a good dancer. Rico Puno is like an eternal star. I’m honored to be with these performers.”

Expect the unexpected on November 23, at The Theatre at Solaire, with Marissa’s soul repertoire and funny impersonations, Giselle’s sexy comedy and singing, and Rico’s ability to mesmerize and elicit guffaws of laughter.

“Sana Tatlo Ang Puso” is presented by Grand Leisure Corporation and StartUp Village, in cooperation with Solaire Resort and Casino.

“The Tent seeks to accommodate Solaire’s ever expanding entertainment fare. We can now simultaneously hold concerts and musicals in two spaces for our guests’ enjoyment. It is quite fitting that The Tent’s maiden offering is “Kuh Ledesma Christian Bautista Sing Streisand Groban Legrand” as it speaks of how time is a transforming force, a common thread that the artists and Solaire have experienced over the years. It will truly be a wonderful night of beautiful music.” says Audie Gemora, Solaire’s Director for Entertainment.

Kuh Ledesma has been in the business for four decades and is showing no signs of stopping from performing on stage. She was prominently compared to Barbra Streisand during her beginnings, but eventually shook the association off due to her own striking looks, soulful sound and acting prowess. The veteran artist behind the hits “Dito Ba?”, “Til I Met You”, and “One More Try” has a busy 2018 with shows both local and abroad, including her upcoming concert with Christian Bautista whom she’s sang with several times in the past. “It’s always a pleasure to work with Christian.” she says.

“First of all, he has a great voice – and it’s always a delight working with singers with great voices. Second, he is a friend and brother in Christ, so that’s a bonus. Lastly, he’s good looking — what else can I ask for?”

Christian Bautista also had his dose of early comparison. He was likened to American artist Josh Groban for his lanky physique when he first auditioned for a defunct television singing contest. Despite his competition exit, he was offered a recording contract and thus began his climb to entertainment stardom. His debut single “The Way You Look At Me” received an acclaimed exposure in Indonesia which set his singing career in an international trajectory. Kuh is not a stranger as a performance partner, and Christian only has praises to say about her.

“I’ve learned so much from her. As an artist, I admire the brilliance she injects in our craft. She knows how every little detail will flow and has total control of her shows. It’s an amazing opportunity to see how she does it and be able to sing with her on the same stage again.”

With strings of ups and down throughout the years under their belts, both artists agree that time has allowed them to translate their repertoire into more personal narratives of their lives even beyond the limelight. Kuh divulges, “Being in the industry for 40 years, the songs have become mine over time. There is one song that brings me to tears whenever I hear it and this concert is my opportunity to sing it as my own.” To put more context, Christian cites his relationship with fiancé Kat Ramnani and how she has made an impact to his performances. “Groban’s ‘You Raise Me Up’ has more meaning to me now. When I hear it, sing it, I think about Kat and how the song perfectly describes how she affects me and how much she inspires me.”

Reflecting on the last few years since doing this concert for the first time, Kuh shares, “The years in between have brought a lot of amazing experiences. We’ve gone through various events, even life changing milestones that bear different emotions. Although the songs will be familiar and the best from the three icons, there will be more depth and honesty.” says Kuh.

“Our, and of course the fans of Streisand, Legrand and Groban can definitely expect a deeper sense of connection in the songs that we will sing in the concert. It’ll still be the music that the fans have fallen in love with, only this time more heartfelt.”
