Holidays are here ! Christmas holidays means a lot of people are going to malls and bazaar to buy gifts for their friends and love ones. It is because we want to share what we have in spirit of giving for Christmas.
In the midst of the cold breeze of the holiday season, the
annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Open Parking lot of Tutuban
center, a popular shopping hub in the country, was held recently.
People flocked the venue and excitedly waited for the
lighting ceremonies. Everyone were all smiles as they participated in the
countdown before the 35-feet tall Christmas tree was finally lighted. The crowd
who attended the event cheered as this event signifies the start of the
happiest time of the year.
The traditional lighting of the Christmas tree is part of
the celebration of Bonifacio Day to remember the sacrifices and bravery of one
of the greatest Filipino heroes, Gat Andres Bonifacio.
