Avida Land launches gift-giving Facebook app for OFWs

GIFT-GIVING is in the Filipino DNA. Proof of this are the multitude of gifts that get exchanged every Christmas season between family members, friends, co-workers, and classmates. No matter how grand or simple the gift, it’s really the thought and caring behind that gift that matters most to us.

In this spirit of gift-giving and sharing, Avida Land, one of the Philippines’ most trusted property developers, is spreading the holiday cheer among our OFWs and their families through an online gifts promo application on its Facebook page, titled, “Avida Pasalubong Project for the Global Pinoy,” which can be accessed at  http://apps.facebook.com/avida-pasalubong/.

OFWs now have the chance to give free gifts to their families in the Philippines. All they have to do is go to the Avida Facebook page and use the Facebook app especially created for the gift-giving promo.

“Gift-giving is a tradition that binds Filipino families, friends, and loved ones together. No matter how near or how far they are from each other, each gift exchanged is a tangible expression of love and care. This spirit of sharing bridges our relationships across time and distances. They foster unity, kindness, generosity, and friendship between us,” said Tess Tatco, Avida Land Marketing Manager.

OFWs, as well as their loved ones, can use the Facebook app until January 5, 2013. In the case of OFWs, all they have to do is register for the Facebook app. Once they are registered, they would have the chance to pick one of four special packages that they would like to send to their loved ones. Their loved ones may also use the app and choose which package they wish to receive from their OFW family member.
The four gift packages include: 1) Food Box containing food items worth P20,000; 2) Gadgets Box containing an iPad 2; 3) Kiddie Box containing gadgets like an X-Box 360; iPod Shuffle and Nokia phone; and 4) Perfume Box containing a set of perfume for men and women worth P20,000.

Buyers who reserve an Avida unit until December 14, 2012 will also have a chance to win in their own raffle promo. At stake are 30 pasalubong boxes filled with imported food items.  Meanwhile, on December 8, Avida is also holding its last Red Letter Day event as it aims to help buyers present the biggest gift they can give their loved ones this season – a new home.
Let your holidays be merrier and more special by giving your loved ones the chance to receive these exciting gifts from Avida. Just visit us or log-on to Avida’s Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/AvidaLandCorp.

Avida Land wins two Myproperty.ph Real Estate Awards

Avida Land, an Ayala Land company and one of the country’s most trusted property developers, emerged victorious with two awards from the 2012 Myproperty.ph Real Estate Awards. These awards include: “Development of the Year” for Avida Towers Centera along Edsa in Mandaluyong; and “Best Lifestyle Community” for Avida Towers Riala in Cebu.

Awarding took place last November 15 at the Oakwood Premiere Joy-Nostalg Center in Manila. The panel of judges consisted of Ms. Marissa del Mar, National President of the National Real Estate Association; Mr. Christopher de la Cruz, President of the Green Building Council; and Mr. Noel CariƱo, Executive Vice President of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association, Inc.

Avida Towers Centera won over four other projects including SMDC’s Field Residences; Sta. Lucia Realty’s Splendido Taal Towers; DMCI’s Royal Palm Residences; and Camella Homes Inc.’s Tanza.  Likewise, Avida Towers Riala trumped two contenders, DMCI’s Royal Palm Residences and Hausland’s Nouveau Residences

Avida Towers Centera is a four-tower residential development that has a built-in retail center for shopping and other services. Strategically located at EDSA corner Reliance Street in Mandaluyong City, it gives the residents easy access to the all modern conveniences offered by urban living.

Contenders for the Development of the Year Award were judged based on the following criteria: Notable Innovations and Technology; Credibility of Property Developer/Strength of Brand; Outstanding Building Quality; Lifestyle Community and Amenities; and Project Aesthetics.

Avida Towers Riala, located at Cebu IT Park, offers wide green and open spaces as well as to the region’s corporate headquarters, business and IT/BPO offices and commercial and retail centers. It is a balance of city life and nature’s tranquillity.

Avida Towers Riala won the Best Lifestyle Community after it scored the highest in the following criteria: Quality of Lifestyle Promoted Through the Community and Amenities Offered; Lack of Pollution and Congestion; Accessibility of Project; Growth of Surrounding Community and Location; and Project Aesthetics.

“We are honoured to be the recipient of these awards. We see this recognition as an affirmation of the high quality of Avida projects. These awards also inspire us to continue giving only the best to our buyers and homeowners,” said Tess Tatco, Avida Marketing Head.

Myproperty.ph, an online avenue for real estate classifieds, held its very first Real Estate Awards this year. Summit Media and the European Classifieds Company, the two firms behind the website, organized the awards to celebrate the fast-paced future of the real estate.

With the Philippine real estate market in rapid and robust growth, MyProperty.ph established the awards to recognize excellence in the real estate industry. Developers in the Philippines who achieve high quality standards in their projects now have the chance to show how, through their perseverance, innovation, creativity, and hard work,  they stand out from the rest.

Myproperty.ph presented winners in eight categories: Most Eco-Friendly and/Sustainable Development; Fastest Selling Project; Best Housing Loan; Best Investment; Best Luxury Project; Best Starter Home; Best Lifestyle Community; and Development of the Year.

Avida Land was borne out of Ayala land’s desire to bring affordable living at its best to the greatest number of Filipinos.

After two decades of fulfilling dreams and 55 projects in 31 locations, Avida still provides the best community with the security and assurance of a healthy environment.

Keeping in mind its primary goal of creating "dream" shelters that enhance the quality of family life, Avida will continue to develop and maintain communities that set the standard in the industry, promote the growth of property values, ensure better and consistent quality, and deliver excellent value for money.

Through their artworks, we are able to join together in celebrating the spirit of Christmas in the Philippines, which is so uniquely festive and joyous. Contest participants were first required to submit a soft copy of their design proposal to the competition organizers for a preliminary screening. Designs that conformed to the contest theme, “Pasko Natin: Ang Diwa Ng Pasko Sa Pilipinas” and also passed the screening were included in the group of finalists. These finalists were the ones who went to the competition site and rendered their artworks on the pavement.

The finalists’ artworks were judged by esteemed jurors National Artist Fil Dela Cruz and Igan D' Bayan, a Filipino visual artist and critic.

Artworks in the finalists’ roster will also be posted on Avida Land’s Facebook page (Avida Land Corp.) and the artworks at the Avida Towers Centera site will be open for public viewing from 8AM to 5PM daily. To get to Avida Towers Centera, just turn right from EDSA (northbound lane) into Reliance Street and go straight ahead till you reach the site’s location at the corner of Mayflower Street.
