American Idol with 'Now And Then' Week, Jessica Sanchez with "Fallen" and "Try A Little Tenderness"

Jessica Sanchez gives 'otherworldly' performance during Wednesday's "American Idol"  with a recap of Jessica's last week's near elimination.

American Idol' top seven sing hits from 'Now And Then'The contestants sang two songs each, the first a #1 hit from 2000 to today, the second an old-school soul classic.

After nearly being booted last week, Sanchez fought back on the "Idol" stage, first with Alicia Keys' "Fallin' " and later with a spunky version of Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness."
Jessica Sanchez impressed the American Idol judges with both her performances with a mature rendition. Standing ovation,  Judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson showed their appreciation for Jessica's vocal prowess.

Steven Tyler said it sounded like she was angry with the song, noted, “That was the passion that you released.”

Jennifer Lopez said, “When you opened your mouth, the way you play with songs, it’s crazy, it’s insane. I’m glad we saved you. I’m glad you’re here.

Randy Jackson said, “It was so right for us to do. Your talent is so otherworldly I don’t even think you know it. I love it. Brilliant. Brilliant."

Here is the Jessica Sanchez Try a Little Tenderness.

Steven Tyler said, " You’ve done it again. I like the fact that you’re stepping out."

Jennifer Lopez said, "We got a little bit of your alter ego, the one you talk about. I think after last week we’ve got to start pushing with your performances. America’s got to connect with you. That’s where I think we need to push you."
Randy Jackson said, "I agree. Absolutely correct. Connect the emotion with the lyrics. That’s what they’re going to respond to. You can sing like nobody’s business. Nice work."
Songs from the other six of the top seven:
Joshua Ledet,  first Fantasia’s “I Believe” and later for Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.”
Phillip Phillips took on Usher’s “U Got It Bad” early before tackling Wilson Pickett’s “In the Midnight Hour”
Hollie Cavanagh first by belting out Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” and later with “Son of a Preacher Man.”
Skylar Laine  first with Lady Gaga’s country-fried version of “Born This Way” and later with a down-home version of Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.”
Colton Dixon also got his Gaga on version of “Bad Romance,” ,  later put an emo spin on Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September.”
Elise Testone, her version of Alicia Keys’ “No One” and Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.”

Zac Efron for Men's Health May 2012

Zac Efron shows off his newly buff body on the May cover of Men's Health. The 24-year-old heartthrob dishes on his full-body transformation and showed off his bulging biceps on the publication's dual covers while talking about his role as a marine in his upcoming Nicholas Sparks book based film.

Here' s Zac had to share:
On his work ethic: “I could pick up almost anything. If you put it in front of me, I could always find a way to tackle it. I was never a natural at anything, but I could always outwork everybody.”

On choosing roles: “Look, I was just a musical-theater guy. I would have been happy to do that for the rest of my life. But there’s something about me that’s always searching for the more challenging route, and the actors that I really admire are always picking things out of their comfort zones, trying to stretch to see where they can go. It just seems like the road less traveled.”

On transforming his body to Marine-like status for The Lucky One: “By the end of the movie I didn’t recognize myself. You hear about guys like  Christian Bale who dive into it and are really able to transform. I’ve always wondered if I had the willpower to actually do it. And I’ll always have pride around the sense that I can.”

On meeting real Marines: "They were my age. 23, 24, even younger. And most of the staff sergeants were not huge guys. They were about my height, 5'9", 5'10", some shorter, but all very stocky. And I'm there in a backward hat and Vans, walking around like I'm still in college."

Katy Perry's Diet and Exercises Tips

Celebrities and models' career tends to be relatively short but very stressful - always in the spotlight, always having to look good, and always ready to jump on the next flight to a photoshoot on the other side of the world.

Celebrities like Katy Perry, she needs to keep her body shape for the sake of her professionalism being a public figure, and her career. Katy Perry is careful to maintain her figure by sticking to a diet and exercise plan while on the road.

The singer has developed a diet and fitness plan with her trainer Harley Pasternak to keep in optimal shape.

When Perry is on the road, the singer ensures that she eats foods that promote energy.

Here's Katy's diet plan.

Breakfast – Crushed oats with apple and a whey protein shake , " I eat egg whites with ham, tomatoes, onion and cheese." – essential carbs and proteins.

Lunch – Chicken with vegetables or a salad with black beans – healthy lean meat and more healthy carbs.

Dinner – Brown rice with chicken teriyaki – slow release carbs and lean protein.

Katy saying in a Women's Health, "On holidays I eat whatever I feel like, But on tour the catering is a lot of grilled chicken—nothing fried. Everything is organic, and I have soy milk. No chips in sight—if they’re in front of you, you eat them."

Katy said "I drink a lot of water, Staying hydrated is important. I don’t understand how some people live off of diet soda. I have a couple of friends who I have never seen with a bottle of water in their hands. I don’t know how they get recharged."

"I still keep my routine on the road," she detailed. Running on a treadmill for an hour is not at all appealing to Perry. The beauty prefers to work in her cardio in more exuberant ways. "I like to jump rope. I can do the cross-over and double jumps," Perry said.
