Beach-ready body by summer? Coach Jim Saret tells you how.

The pressure to have a beach-ready body gets more intense by the day, now that summer is officially here! Especially if you’ve indulged in all of your food cravings and have not hit the gym of late, you must be in some kind of a bind. We know all too well that losing weight is never that easy, and getting fit takes months, if not years, to achieve.

Fortunately, fitness expert Jim Saret, known as Coach Jim in The Biggest Loser (Pinoy Edition Doubles), understands your situation. He is, after all, the guy who created the program called MetaFIT, which speeds up a person’s metabolism and allows him to burn calories throughout the day, not just during a workout.

Fitness expert Jim Saret, known as Coach Jim in The Biggest Loser (Pinoy Edition Doubles), swears by C-Lium Fibre, which helps provide his recommended daily allowance of fiber along with a healthy diet. Aside from the powder form in small sachets, he takes the product in its capsule form because of its convenience. "It’s as easy as ABC," he says.
While there is no turning back now from the consequences of bingeing and just lazing around, kicking yourself over not excercising sooner is not going help you either. The good news is, there is still time! Coach Jim clues you in on what you can do right now so you can showcase your beach-worthy physique with pride.

For starters, Coach Jim wants you to pay attention to your diet. “Most people are not really aware of what to eat and what not to eat,” he says. What should constitute your diet from hereon is lean meat, fruits and vegetables,” he enumerates. “These are ‘fail-proof” types of food.”

Supplementation is also necessary to achieve good nutrition. “Take Vitamin C to boost the immune system, Vitamin E to slow down aging, Calcium for stronger bones, CoQ10 to boost energy, Creatine for muscle and memory, Omega 3's for the heart, and Glucosamine for your joints,” Coach Jim recommends.

One of the most important components of nutrition, Coach Jim emphasizes, is dietary fiber. As a student taking up his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Brigham Young University (USA), Coach Jim learned that fiber has a multitude of health benefits that include lowering cholesterol levels, controlling blood sugar, maintaining good bowel health, aiding in preventing colon disease, reducing the risks of Type 2 diabetes and blood pressure, and helping achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Personally, Coach Jim is a strong believer in fiber, taking it regularly in order to maintain a healthy, fit stomach, and an ideal body weight.

Coach Jim supplements the fiber in his diet by taking C-Lium Fibre, manufactured by PascualLab. Prefering to take it fuss-free because of his hectic schedule, Coach Jim favors both the capsule and sachet forms. “At home, all I have to do is mix my C-Lium Fiber sachet in a glass of water and that’s it,” he says. “Easy as ABC, done in less than 20 seconds.”

Coach Jim suggests that if you want to have a beach-ready body, you have to pay attention to your diet that should include “lean meat, fruits and vegetables.” To achieve good nutrition, Coach Jim recommends vitamin and mineral supplementation, including fiber. For his fiber needs, he relies on C-Lium Fibre, which is a natural source of fiber derived from the Psyllium plant.

Having the energy to move and be active, Coach Jim is able to follow his rigorous physical training, which keeps him in tiptop shape. After all, a beach-ready body is also honed through a committed regimen of physical activity. Watch what you eat, consume fiber, and move your body.  Develop these three habits and you’ll be ready to conquer not just the beach, but the world.

As a fitness expert and motivator, Coach Jim has devised workout regimens that burn unwanted fat in no time. It is important, he says, that one should have a healthy digestive system, which fiber helps promote. For his fiber needs, he relies on C-Lium Fibre, a natural source of soluble and insoluble fiber derived from the Psyllium plant.

Live, Love and C-Lium for Inner Health

C-Lium Fibre, the all-natural fiber supplement that helps you live healthier and live more, took part in the “LIVE. LOVE. PARTY” held at SM Aura in Taguig City last March 1 as celebration of International Women’s Month and attracted over 300 participants in a Zumba fitness party led by Zumba star sensation Melissa Chiz. She was invited by Karl Edward International and Zumba Wear Philippines to showcase the latest fat-burning moves.
Inside the Samsung Hall of Mall of Asia, another C-Lium Fibre booth was located to offer free taste and sample product to the participants of “Live. Love. Party.”

“We are proud that C-Lium was able to participate in this worthwhile event,” says Catherine Reyes, Senior Brand Manager. “The event is very much in line with our vision of letting people achieve sound inner health through a combination of good diet, exercise and fiber supplementation.”
“Live. Love. Party.” participants got to have their pictures taken with the gorgeous models manning the C-Lium Fibre booth at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura.
Chiz, who was flown from the United States, was surprised with the hospitable reception accorded to her by the Filipinos. “There is so much warmth and excitement here in the Philippines that I will definitely come back,” she said. People are so fabulous and kind. The participants are simply spectacular!”

Some of the participants included big-name celebrities who are apparently big Zumba fans. Jessica Soho, Amie Austria, Alma Concepcion, Regine Tolentino and her better half Lander Vera Perez (together they are dubbed the “King & Queen of Zumba”), were some of the more notable participants. Prizes were also given to those who exemplified terrific Zumba energy. Richard Cayabyab and Ina Quintanila were proclaimed Zumba King and Queen while Leo Feca and Gold Fuentes ZIN King and Queen.

C-Lium Fibre had a booth set up and gave away free samples for people to try the product. Product Ambassadors likewise encouraged the Zumba participants to learn more about and discover the benefits of daily fiber intake.
Treated to the healthy goodness of C-Lium Fibre during the “Live. Love. Party.” event, participants indulged on some photo-op with the C-Lium Fibre models.

According to the US-based National Fiber Council, fiber promotes a healthy digestive system and assists in weight management. It also helps to lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels, which may contribute to a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
C-Lium Fibre models were ready to welcome the participants of the “Live. Love. Party.” a Zumba fitness event that coincided with the start of International Women’s Month.
“Live. Love. Party.” participants did rhythmic, fat-burning Zumba moves as they followed the lead Zumba star sensation Melissa Chiz. C-Lium Fibre was one of the major sponsors of the event.
Moving in unison and led by Melissa Chiz, the “Live. Love. Party.” participants felt an adrenaline-rush as they did the Zhumba moves that combined aerobic exercise with elements from dance.
For those who missed this event, SM Aura and Karl Edward International will be hosting a monthly Zumba Fitness Party at Samsung Hall. Zumba fanatics now have another venue where they can sweat and dance it out to keep fit.

“For sure, C-Lium Fibre will be there to support this event,” Catherine Reyes said. “Being healthy and staying healthy is a continuous process and we will always be on hand to encourage those who have this goal.”

"Sir Chief" Richard Yap taps into his inner health

By taking care of his inner health, Richard Yap says, “I am able to live more and live young.”

Richard was already taking the product for over five years even before he was tapped to serve as C-Lium’s brand ambassador.
It is undeniable that Richard Yap’s rise to fame has been quite monumental. From playing Papa Chen in the primetime soap Binondo Girl, Richard is now known as the well-adored Sir Chief in the daytime “kiligserye” Please Be Careful with My Heart.

His love story with Maya, played by Jodie Sta. Maria, has become the talk of the town: from their first hug to their first kiss to their eventual marriage. It’s no wonder that the soap has been going strong in Philippine television for more than a year.

Despite the pressures that come with being a celebrity, Richard looks great for his age. His skin glows, his looks are youthful and healthy, and his body is very fit. It’s surprising to know that he will celebrate his 47th birthday on May 18 this year.

While it may all look effortless, Richard says that his sense of well-being is a result of making healthy choices. For one, Richard finds the time to exercise, despite the fact that he has only around three to four hours of sleep each day. “I have always been a great fan of exercising whether it be going to the gym or taking up an active sport,” he says.

Paying attention to his diet, Richard is a conscientious eater, trying out a little bit of everything. “I limit my intake of carbs and protein to a certain level,” he says. “I eat five to six small meals a day in order not to gain weight. As much as possible, I shy away from fatty food although I do have my cheat days. I try to consume more fish and chicken whenever possible.”

Richard also supplements his diet with C-Lium Fibre, an all-natural source of soluble and insoluble fiber, which he endorses. “It’s very important since we are always on the go and we are not guaranteed to get enough fiber in our diet everyday,” he says. “Taking C-Lium helps a lot in fulfilling that need.”

According to the US-based National Fiber Council, taking fiber regularly aids in promoting good digestion and helps in weight management. It has also been clinically proven to regulate the absorption of cholesterol and sugar into the system, minimizing the risk for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, among other life-threatening illnesses.

Taking a more proactive stance to health is something that Richard believes in. He listens to his body for telltale signs of illness. “If I see there is something which is headed to a certain unhealthy level, I usually address it by changing my diet and eating habits and not waiting until I get sick.”

C-Lium is part of Richard’s health arsenal, which is more crucial now that Richard has to juggle many activities. Aside from being an actor, he is also a husband to Melody Yap and a father to two teen-agers. But Richard knows his priorities very well, and takes his showbiz adventure one day at a time. “Dreams do come true,” he says. “Just don’t be afraid to take the plunge when the opportunity comes.”

C-Lium Fibre is available in husk and capsule format and is being sold in supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.
