ABS-CBN BROADCAST HEAD NAMED AMONG 2013’s “PEOPLE OF THE YEAR”

“Servicing the Filipino people— that’s what we’re really here for. Our work is tough. There is so much stress, sacrifices, and sleepless nights. But at the end of the day, what keeps us going is the mission to reach out to Pinoys all over the world.” --- Cory Vidanes

ABS-CBN Broadcast Head Cory Vidanes was among the People of the Year awardees for 2013 (1)
ABS-CBN Broadcast Head Cory Vidanes was among the 14 personalities recognized by People Asia magazine in its annual “People of the Year” for her vital role in the achievements of the country’s largest media conglomerate over the past years, particularly her involvement and passionate support for the network’s public service campaigns.

In its 14th anniversary issue, People Asia highlighted how Vidanes can work quietly on the sidelines and achieve greatness without calling much attention to it.

Aside from spearheading campaigns that further increased ABS-CBN’s ratings, Vidanes has been very much involved in the network’s public service projects that include the network’s recent “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda.

“I feel that I was put in this place by God because this is my purpose. If I can touch, empower or inspire the Filipino in any way I can, then I will always stay in ABS-CBN,” she added.

Other ABS-CBN personalities included on the list were actor Coco Martin, who was recognized for his contribution to Philippine television and cinema, and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, for being the first Filipina to win the much-coveted title after 62 years and for her embodiment of the pageant’s credo ‘beauty with a purpose.’

In 2010, ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio was also among the “People of the Year” awardees for being the first female president of the country’s leading media corporation.

People Asia began the ‘People of the Year’ awards back in 2004. It aims to recognize world-class Filipinos who have made the country proud with their achievements, advocacies, and notable contributions to the Filipino society.

The MyProperty.ph magazine maiden issue launched

Get Sold Corporation, a joint venture between Summit Media and Ringier AG, recently launched their first offline offering, a print version of the MyProperty.ph website, as part of the brand’s strategy to bring real estate information and listings closer to the public. According to general manager Butz de Castro, the free magazine is designed to emphasize how the online and offline experiences are connected, and aims to provide current and new users with “richer content that’s beyond ordinary projects and classifieds listings”.

“The MyProperty magazine was meant to complement our online product,” he said. “It is a major step forward in enabling property seekers, and all the industry’s players for that matter, to make better- informed decisions when it comes to searching for and purchasing property.”

The maiden issue of the quarterly glossy highlights top projects from various local property developers such as Vista Residences, Avida Land, and Grand Monaco. The Featured Stories section contains tips and human interest pieces, including an interview of several street performers in Bonifacio Global City, a yuppie’s guide to condo living, and FAQs about home buying. The magazine also offers a closer look at four booming real estate locations in the country – Pasay, CDO, and Tagaytay, and Pampanga – under Featured Communities.

“With Featured Communities aimed at letting the general public know where fast-track development is happening and Featured Stories on trends and tips, the website visitor – now the magazine reader – is given a heightened and more pleasurable experience in being informed of what choices are available to him at the most relevant time,” de Castro explained.

A classifieds segment presents buyers with listings complete with photos, property specs and seller information, as well as a property ID that can be used to search for the property on the MyProperty.ph website. Home owners looking to furnish and maintain their properties can fulfill their needs through the directory page.

As for what readers can expect in the future, de Castro said, “Along with more editorial content, more classified listings will be up for display, further boosting the chances of connecting the right property seeker with the right property seller.”

First copies of the maiden issue were handed out to attendees of the recently held “DRIVEN Pinoy Dream Property and Lifestyle Event 2013”. MyProperty.ph also plans on distributing it at upcoming real estate and property expos and placing it in major business establishments and event venues. A downloadable version of the magazine will soon be available on the website.

MyProperty.ph is the Philippines’ premier online real estate classifieds, which aims to bring property buyers and sellers together through an interactive and user-friendly platform. Visitors to the site can browse all types of real estate listings: from houses to condos, brand new to previously owned properties, and developer-owned to privately sold homes.

BUM endorser Daniel Padilla appears in 3 Magazine covers

There’s really no stopping BUM endorser Daniel Padilla from conquering local showbiz.
Just recently, he has proven yet again why he is one of the most desirable bachelors this side of the world.

This August, the 18-year-old star of ABS-CBN’s upcoming romantic series Got To Believe is on the cover of two different glossies: the college lifestyle magazine Chalk and the entertainment publication YES! Magazine. Prior to appearing in Chalk and YES!, Daniel also headlined the July issue of the male-oriented fashion magazine, Garage, wherein he sported the season’s hottest trend: metallics.

Daniel’s triple cover victory is a rare feat for any male celebrity, especially for someone who is relatively new in the business. But from the way he’s getting projects, Daniel, or simply DJ to his legions of fans, looks as though he was born for this kind of superstardom.
It is quite easy to know why Daniel is so in-demand these days. Aside from having good looks, enigmatic charm, and that unmistakable Padilla swagger, which he probably inherited from his equally famous uncle Robin Padilla, DJ can sing well. In fact, DJ has released two successful Star Records albums, Daniel Padilla in 2012 and DJP in 2013. He also has a sold-out concert called Daniel Padilla Live: A Birthday Concert, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum to back his music credentials.

Daniel is edgy, expressive, passionate, and unpredictable. He’s never afraid of showing his true colors or going against the grain. Having Daniel as BUM endorser for 2 years now makes him a sought-after celebrity image model and BUM is proud to have him since 2011. BUM’s Daniel Padilla limited edition shirt Collection is doing well in all BUM outlets nationwide.
These admirable traits make Daniel Padilla the perfect BUM image model. Both the young actor and the clothing brand seem to share one philosophy, and that is, celebrating individuality.

BUM is available in leading department stores nationwide.

Sprinto at WU Fest 2013

WU! Manila, a new magazine in town has officially launched its brand through WU Fest 2013. As what they always say, whether you're fresh off the plane or a balikbayan rediscovering your beloved birthplace, WU! is here to help you find out Whats Up in Manila. Or should we say, what's awesome about Manila! And that's what they did! They've promoted anything and everything awesome about Manila through remarkable entertainment such as the bamboo bike display, yummy food -- not necessarily all Filipino but the hospitality made all the difference, and live music from talented Filipino underground artists.

WU's objective of finding something awesome. One booth in the said fest that caught everyone's attention is the Sprinto booth that sells awesome collection of shades. The standouts would be their Manila, Tokyo, and a new model with wood temple called Shenzhen.

Sprinto is fast gaining popularity in Manila because of its stylish yet functional collection of shades through its iDefine polarized lens and iShock polycarbonate lens features.

According to Mr. Pawlo Misolas, Sprinto Marketing Director, “We believe that shades should be fashionable, protective and affordable and I think that we’ve got the right balance of all three.”

He also adds that the mid-range shades segment is good for fashion.

“The fashion awareness for sunglasses in the Philippines is on the rise.  It used to be you bought one pair of expensive glasses and that was it.  I think consumers are becoming smarter nowadays.”

“If you can buy a quality pair of shades that’s fashionable at half the price, that allows you to open up to more options.  It just makes fashion sense.”
Presently, Sprinto shades are available in major fashion hubs such as Manila, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. Watch out for more Sprinto international hubs nearest you.

Sprinto is definitely one fashion find in Manila that you can't afford to miss! Never Think Twice !
