A Celebration of Love and Thanksgiving with AiAi and Gerald

Love was definitely in the air during the thanksgiving cum Christmas party given by AiAi delas Alas and Gerald Sibayan for their media friends last November 30 at Le Rêve in Quezon City.

The party, hosted by veteran columnist/writer Jun Nardo, started with a sumptuous lunch followed by a magic show participated in by the couple and some members of the press. Their romantic wedding prenup video was shown during the celebration. AiAi and Gerald gave short messages before they cut their wedding cake amidst the roaring cheers from the crowd urging them to kiss. They will tie the knot this December.

AiAi shared, “Ang saya ng pakiramdam na nakasama ko ang aking mga kaibigan sa isang masayang okasyon sa aking buhay. The party was really for them. It was my way of expressing my gratitude to them. Gusto ko rin i-share ang mga blessings ko with my media friends. Nandiyan sila sa simula pa lang ng aking career, noong single pa lang ako, at kasama ko pa rin sila hanggang ngayon sa panibagong yugto ng aking buhay. I believe in love and I believe na may forever sa pag-ibig.” 

The media friends left the party in high spirits, having enjoyed the parlor game and raffle draws plus lots of give-aways. 

AiAi has a new single titled Walang Pinipili featuring the rap group Ex-Battalion under GMA Records. The song is now available for downloading and streaming in iTunes and Spotify.

Asian Artists Agency wins at the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television

Asian Artists Agency talents were honored with several awards during the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television.

Boy Abunda won the Best Public Affairs Program Host (Bottomline with Boy Abunda) and Best Celebrity Talk Show Host (Tonight with Boy Abunda). Bottomline with Boy Abunda is a late-night talk show where famous and controversial personalities get up close and personal as they take the hot seat confronting the latest issues of the land. AiAi delas Alas bagged the Best Comedy Actress award for her sitcom Hay Bahay. AiAi proves once more that she is the country’s undisputed comedy queen as she exchanges comic banters with the cast lead by Vic Sotto.

Aiko Melendez won the Best Drama Supporting Actress award for her sterling portrayal of the vile and villainous Emilia Ardiente in the hit tv drama series Wildflower on ABS CBN. Her intense scenes opposite Maja Salvador are always highly-anticipated. Aiko’s Best Drama Supporting Actress award is a testament of her acting mettle as one of the finest actresses of her generation.

Drew Arellano is the public’s designated travel guide in Biyahe ni Drew where he was given with the Best Travel Show Host award. The Christmas stage is set for performances at the different Casino Filipino branches this December. 

Ai Ai delas Alas, Jose Manalo, Sitti and Nyoy Volante with Celebrity Tour at Casino Filipino this December.

December performances with funnyman Jose Manalo last week and on December 10 to be at Casino Filipino Ronquillo; and December 12, Casino Filipino Olongapo.

Three Queens unite for one unkabogable Christmas comedy treat! For the first time, the three controversial ‘queens’ of today–Phenomenal Box-Office Goddess Vice Ganda, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, and Comedy Concert Queen AiAi delas Alas–will star in one power comedy film titled “Sisterakas,” Star Cinema and Viva Films’ official entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The newest comedy masterpiece of Direk Wenn Deramas “Sisterakas” will hit theaters nationwide beginning Christmas (December 25).

Unlike in real life where they are close friends, Vice, Kris and AiAi will play fierce rivals in “Sisterakas.” In the story, Vice portray the role of Bernice, a super successful ‘lord of the apparels industry’ who is determined to bring misery to two of his closest competition–her hardworking half-sister Detty (AiAi) whose family refused to help Bernice’s family when they were poor, and Roselle (Kris) the equally brilliant and talented yet eccentric business archnemesis.

In her quest to secure her throne as the queen of her industry, although it’s against her will, Bernice will be forced to hire Detty as his 75th assistant. But things get out of hand and the world gets crazier when Detty suddenly becomes an employee–of all people–Roselle!

With the rivalry getting tougher and more intense than ever and severely affecting each other’s intertwined lives, who among Bernice, Detty and Roselle will emerge victorious?
