Successful Mompreneurs Give Winning Tips at Annual Summit

The country's successful moms have gathered to inspire and encourage future mompreneurs to create businesses with passion and soul, during the 3rd Mompreneur Summit held recently at the Edades Tower, Rockwell in Makati City.

HyC150, the latest collagen drink from Japan, helped mounted the lively event that provided an outlook into the lives of successful mompreneurs and possibly take a cue from them on how to manage the juggling act. Packed with hyaluron, collagen and ubiquinol, HyC150 is a premium blend of natural elements that builds beautiful, flexible skin and joints from within. It replenishes the body with essential nutrients to maintain radiant and youthful skin, strong and healthy bones, joints, muscles, hair and nails. HyC150 is truly an ally of successful mompreneurs in giving their best shot at their chosen careers by keeping them healthy, beautiful and positive aside from being loving moms.

HYC150 JOINS 3RD MOMPRENEUR SUMMIT AT ROCKWELL --- HyC150’s Maru Agustine (left) and host Patricia Bermudez-Hizon join the 3rd Mompreneur Summit held recently at Edades Function Room of Aruga Hotel by Rockwell in Makati City. Packed with hyaluron, collagen and ubiquinol, HyC150 is a powerful ally of today’s successful mompreneurs in giving their best shot at their chosen careers by keeping them healthy, beautiful and positive aside from being loving moms.

#SecretWeapon Contest Winner. Erica Enriquez Valerio, Sales Manager at Bitmarket.ph, wins the #SecretWeapon contest conducted by HyC150, the collagen drink from Japan, at the 3rd Mompreneur Summit held recently at Edades Function Room of Aruga Hotel by Rockwell in Makati City. Valerio said: 'I never say die #SecretWeapon #HyC150.' Packed with hyaluron, collagen and ubiquinol, HyC150 is a powerful ally of today’s successful mompreneurs in giving their best shot at their chosen careers by keeping them healthy, beautiful and positive aside from being loving moms.
Of course, the highlight of the gathering was the valuable insights and learning provided by the speakers based on business models that could help mompreneurs re-discover a meaningful motivational drive in achieving success. They were Hindy Weber-Tantoco, owner, Holy Carabao Farms and The Fun Farm; financial expert Rose Frees Fausto; AA Patawaran, Manila Bulletin, Lifestyle Editor; Mia Fausto Cruz, Smartparenting Magazine; Eileen Juan, founder, CEO, The Picture Co.; Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, and Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez, co-founders, Happy Skin Cosmetics; Mutya Laxa-Buensuceso, founder, Sprinkie and Country Manager of Luxasia Philippines; and Jill Gerodias-Borja, president and CEO, Manang's Chicken.

We narrowed down the 10 winning tips which could help mompreneurs re-discover their passion on top of being an active mom and successful homemaker:

1) Pay yourself first. It should not be less than one-tenth, no matter how little you earn;

2) Get only in a business you understand. Seek advice from competent people;

3) Make your gold work for you. Make an army of golden slaves before you buy luxury;

4) Manage your time. Schedule meetings so that you can spend quality time with the family. Drop everything for your family;

5) Make financing a family affair. Teach your children how to save money at an early age;

6) Eliminate guilt. Don't feel guilty leaving your kids at home with their yayas. If you do, you will not go anywhere and you will not progress;

7) Get yourself support system. You just cannot do things on your own. When you want to achieve a lot of things, you need the help of other people;

8) Have a work system. Having a schedule and a rhythm will allow you to keep sane despite the craziness, routine, and pressure around;

9) Quality not Quantity. It's not about spending day-in and day-out with your kids. You can tell there's quality time if your kids are really enjoying;

10) Create your own happiness. Discuss or plan new ways with your family that will keep everyone simply happy!

10th Global Pinoy Bazaar on August 22-24

Global Pinoy Bazaar, Championing Filipino Entrepreneurialism since 2007

As the Global Pinoy Bazaar moves to the World Trade Center for its tenth installment, Yabang Pinoy proves the quality of Filipino brands threefold.

Global Pinoy Bazaar is Yabang Pinoy's proof that Filipino brands can compete with other foreign brands. It is an annual fund-raising event created to provide a venue for Filipino entrepreneurs to showcase their proudly Filipino products, brands, and concepts to the public.

Since 2007, it has become a breeding ground for Filipino startups to meet other entrepreneurs, artists, designers, musicians, and creative minds for them to meet, be discovered, and collaborate with each other.

For eight years running, the Global Pinoy Bazaar has been successfully championing the excellence of proudly Filipino brands, proving that we can compete with big international labels. The flagship project of Yabang Pinoy has built a community where business owners focus on craftsmanship and consumers expect loyalty.

In the 10th Global Pinoy Bazaar on 22-24 August 2014, Yabang Pinoy moves to the World Trade Center, a venue three times larger, to showcase the breadth of Filipino entrepreneurialism. The lineup features almost two hundred local brands and business concepts, from loyal merchants to budding startups, in art, design, music, travel, technology, home, fashion, and food and beverage.

“A Filipino entrepreneur is someone who believes that Filipinos have the ability to exceed or at least be at par with established international brands in terms of product quality, process efficiencies, marketing, and branding,” says Mark Carrillo of men’s lifestyle brand Fledge Clothing. The new entrant to the bazaar is equally as committed to product quality. “People are always surprised when they learn that our products are locally made. We are joining Global Pinoy Bazaar to support the local industry, and show the quality of local independent brands,” says Mark.

This conviction is not lost in Martha Rodriguez of Vesti Clothing, which has been joining the bazaar since the brand was founded four years ago.” I started Vesti in October 2010 to showcase the beauty of hand-woven indigenous fabrics from Mindanao. I joined Global Pinoy Bazaar in November the same year because I felt that it was the perfect venue where people appreciate local art, culture, and heritage.”

There will be various activities during the three days of bazaar, from talks by crowdfunding platform Spark Project and app developer JoomaJam, to workshops by crafts studio Craft Manila, and a jamming session by dance school Samba School Imperatriz Filipinense, among others.

The Global Pinoy Bazaar also coincides with Buwan ng Wika and with the “Made in the Philippines Products Week,” as declared by Presidential Proclamation No. 76.

By showcasing globally competitive Filipino brands, Yabang Pinoy strives to support and empower local micro, small, and medium enterprises, and develop the community of globally competitive Filipino brands.

Enjoy the 10th Global Pinoy Bazaar on August 22 - 2014, from 11am to 9pm at the World Trade Center.

The 1st International Business Summit on Mindanao

First International Business Summit on Mindanao, the frontrunner summit on Mindanao to be held at The Manila Hotel on June 28, 2014 as marks a significant milestone in the history of Mindanao as business leaders all over the world.

In line with the vision "RESTORE THE LOST GLORY OF MINDANAO", the summit aims to showcase Mindanao to the world business community and to encourage global investors as well as businessmen to personally interact with local community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Trade from here and abroad will attend the 1st International Business Summit on Mindanao. Shariff Ibrahim Albani, head of summit organizer Unity for Revival Foundation, said delegates from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Japan, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and European countries led by Russia are attending the summit along with some 500 local leaders, including governors, mayors and lawmakers from Mindanao.

The panelists to the summit will include, but not limited to, persons and entities which have more than enough exposure and experiences about Mindanao and have plans of further improving the overall development of the region.

Mindanao, with its rich mineral resources, ecological value, human talents and skills, and economic potentials was, in the past, regarded as one of the richest regions not only in the Philippines, but in the whole world.

The recent signing of the much awaited and historic Bangsamoro Agreement has tremendously enhanced the investment climate of Mindanao and has paved the way both for domestic and international investors, businessmen and entrepreneurs.

Events changed the prosperity once enjoyed by Mindanao and its people. Diversities led to divisions and the unity of the people of Mindanao in the past was disrupted by selfish motives. Business was corrupted by the desire to make profits in dishonorable ways and means. The rich became richer and the poor became poorer.

However, recent events have altered this unwanted environment. With globalization, Mindanao has started to change for the better. Mindanao is now stable and ready to cultivate and nourish intensive and harmonious business links and investment tie-ups with the global community.

Summit organizer, Unity For Revival Foundation (URF) Chairman Shariff Ibrahim Albani is confident that, with the active and productive participation of various sectors in the summit, bright and achievable ideas will emerge to make Mindanao PROGRESSIVE AND UNITED ONCE AGAIN.
