Unlike other content stores, the Telpad’s knAPPsack offers these all-inclusive Disney selections for free.

Families can easily upgrade their PLDT HOME DSL plan to a Telpad plan by adding as low as P500 to their monthly subscription. Globe myStarter Plan launches with Disney Mobile smartphones 

The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia and the Philippines’ number one mobile brand Globe Telecom  launched the Southeast Asia’s first Disney Mobile smartphone. Globe Telecom will be the first telco in Southeast Asia to offer Disney Mobile smartphones through its new myStarter postpaid plans for as low as P750 per month.

The first Disney Mobile range for the Philippines comes in 3 themes – Mickey Mouse, Frozen and Disney Princess.

ICON Manila with its first Entertainment and Design Conference in the Philippines

Top design artists from major animation studios such as Disney Animations, Universal Studios, and Warner Brothers are coming to Manila in July this year to break down the design process for students and professionals working in the entertainment design industry.


ICON Manila announces its International Entertainment and Design Conference 2014. It will be the first event of its kind in Asia, featuring top professionals in animation and concept design for feature film, television and games. 

Speakers at the conference have decades of tenure and are esteemed members in their fields of expertise. All have relevant experience working with industry giants such as Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Sony Animation Pictures, and Marvel Productions among the others.

“The conference targets students and professionals alike,” shares Armand Serrano, Entertainment and Design Conference organizer, who has worked on animations like Lilo and Stich, Brother Bear and Mulan. “With our impressive line-up of top industry leaders, our objective is to present a progressive view through the entertainment design process and impart new ideas that will ultimately strengthen Asia’s impact on the industry.”

Walt Disney Pictures presents “Maleficent”

Walt Disney Pictures unveils latest trailer of Maleficent
Maleficent tells the journey of most iconic villain from the classic Sleeping Beauty and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora.

As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. This how Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.


Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie in the title role as Disney’s ultimate villain. The live-action film explores the origins of the evil fairy Maleficent and what led her to curse Princess Aurora in Disney’s animated classic Sleeping Beauty. Leading a team of visionary filmmakers known for creating and transporting audiences to new and exciting worlds, Academy Award®-winning production designer Robert Stromberg (Avatar, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland and Oz The Great and Powerful) will direct with a script by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, and Alice in Wonderland). Walt Disney Pictures unveils the second trailer of the film featuring Lana Del Rey’s rendition of the song Once Upon a Dream.

The song was known for the Disney’s classic animated film Sleeping Beauty will be featured in full during the end-credits of Maleficent. The dark Disney comedy also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville.

Maleficient will be showing in all cinemas beginning May 28, 2014. This is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

Walt Disney's “FROZEN”

Walt Disney Pictures upcoming animated adventure, “Frozen,” directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf's Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”). The film features music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit”).

The film "Frozen" seems like one cool comedy. Walt Disney Animation Studios was adapting Hans Christian Anderson's tale The Snow Queen filled you with awed anticipation as they show "rife with religious symbolism, and about a young girl who must rescue her friend who was taken by the evil queen. The studio has turned the story into a laugh-a-line family adventure in which a normal girl must face off with her 'evil' sister when said evil sister's ability to shoot snow from her hands threatens to cloak the land in eternal winter.
 In “Frozen,” when a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna's sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, an amazing and comedic snowman named Olaf, Everest-like conditions and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.


Opening across the Philippines in 3D and 2D on Nov. 27, “Frozen” will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

Iron Man 3

I'm here on a mission: fighting back.

Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?


Iron Man 3 is a 2013 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

It is the sequel to Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Shane Black directed a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce, which is based on the "Extremis" story arc by Warren Ellis. Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as executive producer, along with Kevin Feige.

Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as the title character, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Favreau reprising their roles as Pepper Potts, James Rhodes, and Happy Hogan, respectively. Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, and Ben Kingsley round out the film's principal cast.

Celebrities share their favorite Disney memories

Disney holds a special place in everyone’s hearts, young and old. And almost every year since 1990, the Disney on Ice show has captivated audiences from all ages and from all walks of life.
This year, Disney on Ice presents Princesses and Heroes, another spectacular show that will truly delight, excite, and enthrall everyone. Eight Disney Princesses, Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Tiana and their respective handsome princes will tell the audience their inspiring stories through artistic skating and graceful acrobatics and prove once more that wishes do come true for those who believe.
Even for some of our local celebrities, a Disney on Ice show is nothing short of magical. From the elegantly-designed costumes, magnificent fairytale sets, and charming characters, this annual ice show is something they also look forward to. But the Disney on Ice experience does not stop with the show itself. “It’s been a long time since I last saw Disney on Ice...I was probably first year high school or grade six. I remember there was a flashlight, Minnie Mouse was what I got, na parang umiikot-ikot siya. And then there was a mug, and there was cotton candy!” says actress Iza Calzado. A Disney on Ice show can also bring you back to your memorable childhood years. “Oh I need to see Disney on Ice again!” Iza adds.

Singer-actress Karylle remembers seeing a Disney on Ice show when she treated a few lucky kids from her chosen charity. But when asked about her favorite Disney memory, she fondly recalls her serendipitous meet-up with her favorite princess, Cinderella. “I went to Disneyland recently, and I met Cinderella. I met her, and she asked me where I was from. I said I was from the Philippines, and she was like, ‘That’s a beautiful kingdom!’ so she’s now my friend. And then she told me to pose like a princess, and when I left I curtsied, and she curtsied back and I was like, ‘Hah, I’m a princess,’” she shares with a delighted laugh.

Miss Universe Philippines 2012 Janine Tugonon, on the other hand, could not help but admire the skill and grace of the performers when she saw Disney on Ice last year. “Sobrang gusto ko yung mag-partners. Sina Princess Jasmine and Aladdin, sina Ariel and Prince Eric, and yung others. Nanonood kasi ako dati ng mga ice skating competitions sa TV, so nag-enjoy ako panoorin yung ginawa nila dun. Nagalingan talaga ako kasi hindi lang simpleng skating yung pinakita nila; talagang may turns and lifts,” she says.
Already a mom of two, TV host Christine Bersola-Babao still treasures every Disney on Ice show she watched, from when she was a young girl until now. “Even when I was in high school, di ba meron nang Disney on Ice nun? Dinadala ako ng mommy ko. And we’ve been watching Disney on Ice when it’s shown here. You’re planting happy memories in a child’s mind every time you bring them to Disney on Ice,” she says.

Singer JM Rodriguez reveals that this favorite Disney Christmas hero is Scrooge. “I played the young Scrooge in a musical for Repertory. From watching Disney shows, I learned that wishes can come true if you believe, focus and work on it.”

Our Dreams will Come True in Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes

Enjoying Wonderful World as excitingly meet and greet the official mascot of the Walt Disney Mickey Mouse! Mickey, the cheerful and adventurous mouse is one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world.
The yearly Disney on Ice presents magical and spectacular shows. The countdown to the most fabulous ice show of the year has now formally started when Mickey Mouse dropped by the Gateway Suites last December 19 to meet with the press. The sponsors and media were tickled pink as they recalled their favorite Disney movies, characters, and songs during the games.

This Christmas, dreams will come true in “Disney on Ice presents Princesses and Heroes”, a beautifully created show of artistic skating and graceful acrobatics. Witness those defining moments when the wishes of eight Disney Princesses (Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Tiana), come true with the help of their devoted princes. Representing the magic of Disney, special guest and everyone’s favorite Tinker Bell takes audiences from one inspiring story to the next.

Beyond fulfilled wishes, this year’s show ushers in a world where heroes and hearts prevail. Join Ariel as she yearns to explore the world above the waves and Prince Eric as he breaks Ursula’s spell to reclaim his true love. 

See Prince Philip defeat the evil Maleficient as she transforms herself into a fire-breathing dragon in a race against time to rescue Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora.

Be there to discover a whole new world with Jasmine and Aladdin as they evade the royal guards in a high-speed marketplace chase!

And, watch in awe as the dreams of Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel and Tiana all come true!

Families will scream in excitement as they watch Aladdin swing across the ice on a rope as he escapes from the marketplace guards in a chaotic getaway scene. 

And, one of the most unforgettable scenes will be that of Prince Philip fighting with a tenacious 20-foot fire-breathing dragon!

Romance accompanies adventure in the production numbers inspired by The Little Mermaid. The show illustrates how Ariel’s dreams are unlocked from under the sea in one magical moment, and how she finds happiness in an exploration above the waves.
