“My dad and brother told me about a composer called Elgar, who composed ‘Enigma Variations’, where each of the 14 compositions were about a different one of his friends. Rising hip-hop artist/producer Blahza dives deep into romantic nostalgia on “Scared of Heights”

Blahza pushes his breezy hip-hop sound to a more palatable direction on his latest track “Scared of Heights”—out today on all digital and streaming platforms worldwide.

Released under Umami Records, the song dives deep into themes of romantic nostalgia and pandemic anxiety to create something that matters in the broadest sense. “It’s not easy to admit when you don’t have courage, but it’s so relatable because we all fall short in some aspects, especially love—when the past year has made interactions very limited,” Blahza reveals.

Blahza puts into perspective how important the song meant to him, and for the most part, how its message could resonate to music fans of all stripes. “So many of us don’t take the opportunity to even say hi to someone we’re are crushing on for fear of rejection or making ourselves look dumb. Third time’s the charm for Glaswegian synth-pop trio Chvrches as the band returns for their biggest headline show ever in Manila happening on August 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum as part of their Love Is Dead 2019 Asia Tour.

Crafting songs with notable synths and edgy hooks, Chvrches combine their roots in Glasgow’s indie community – the group features former members of alternative rock bands with a love of chart-friendly pop. Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty made an immediate impact on the music scene in summer of 2013 with the bittersweet-yet-anthemic debut album The Bones of What You Believe, and later found ways of bringing an extra sheen to their music without sacrificing its depth.

Chvrches’ critically acclaimed third and latest album, Love Is Dead, just marked its first anniversary last May since its release, but it continues to break worldwide streaming records. The band reclaims the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts ruling both rankings for a second time. The “2018 Billboard Music Awards” will broadcast LIVE from MGM Grand Garden Arena on MONDAY, 21 MAY, 8:00 A.M. on BLUE ANT ENTERTAINMENT

dick clark productions announced today that multiplatinum, record-breaking superstar Ariana Grande will open the “2018 Billboard Music Awards” with a show-stopping performance from her upcoming LP.

The pop songstress, who’s new single “No Tears Left to Cry” hit No. 1 on iTunes in 85+ markets and No. 1 on U.S. iTunes for seven consecutive days in its debut week, will join previously announced performers BTS, Camila Cabello, Dua Lipa and Shawn Mendes on a night filled with music’s biggest names.

Hosted by “The Voice” coach Kelly Clarkson, the “2018 Billboard Music Awards” will broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, 21 May at 8:00AM (7:00 AM JKT/BKK) on Blue Ant Entertainment. The three-hour telecast will feature performances from this year’s hottest musical acts, unexpected collaborations and buzzworthy moments that celebrate 60 years of the Billboard Hot 100.

Nominations for the “2018 Billboard Music Awards” were announced earlier this month on NBC’s “Today” and on a livestream from Billboard’s New York office. Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran tie for the most nominations this year with 15 each.

Voting for the two fan-voted categories — Billboard Chart Achievement Award and Top Social Artist — will open in the coming weeks and additional details will be available soon.

“Billboard Music Awards” nominees are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, touring and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The finalists and award winners are determined using data reflecting a 12-month tracking period. The awards are based on the reporting period of April 8, 2017 through March 31, 2018. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of artists, songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of success in music.

CELINE DION ANNOUNCES LIVE 2018 TOUR TO PLAY IN MANILA 

World-renowned singer Celine Dion has announced she will head overseas this summer with her highly anticipated LIVE 2018 Tour to perform in seven cities across the Asia-Pacific region. Scheduled to kick-off 26 June in Tokyo, the CELINE DION LIVE 2018 Tour will see Celine return to cities she hasn’t performed in for ten years, including Tokyo and Macao, and cities she will perform in for the first time ever, including Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei, Manila and Bangkok.

Tickets for CELINE DION LIVE 2018 in Manila will go on sale to the public beginning 18 January at 10 a.m. Members of TeamCeline will have access to purchase tickets before the public through an advance pre-sale from 16 January to 17 January. The tour is produced by AEG Presents and co-produced by Ovation Productions in Manila.
