Marvin Agustin considers 2012 a landmark year

The year 2012 is undeniably a landmark year for Marvin Agustin, for it is this year that he has been lauded on basically all his endeavors – as a TV/movie actor, entrepreneur, restaurateur, entertainment producer, and a society mover.

Before the end of the year, Marvin bagged two important entrepreneurial awards – the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the annual Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and being one of the recipients of the MVP Bossing Awards. These awards highlight the immense contribution of Marvin as a young entrepreneur, being one of the men behind one of the most successful food chains Sumo Sam.

These achievements were acknowledged by various brands’ support to Marvin by asking him to be their endorser. Currently, Marvin is the face of brands like Knorr, Carbtrim, Tupperware, among others.

Marvin also proved the he continues to be one of the versatile movie personalities in the land by appearing in two important movie projects – the hit comedy vehicle Moron 5 and the internationally-acclaimed horror flick The Road.

On TV, he also showed his mettle as a host when he did Artista Academy on TV5, where he exhibited both wits and empathy towards the contestants.

As a TV and movie personality, Marvin was also named by the Optical Media Board as Anti-Piracy Ambassador.

With all the blessings he has received, Marvin paid it forward by helping the lesser fortunate by participating in Operation Smile Outreaches.

The year 2012 proved that, through having good time management, Marvin Agustin has played his different roles in various industries well.

“I really hope I can do even better in 2013, but really, I have no doubt because I have been blessed with a competent team,” says Marvin. “I really hope everyone will have blessed 2013!”

These awards include: “Development of the Year” for Avida Towers Centera along Edsa in Mandaluyong; and “Best Lifestyle Community” for Avida Towers Riala in Cebu.

Awarding took place last November 15 at the Oakwood Premiere Joy-Nostalg Center in Manila. The panel of judges consisted of Ms. Marissa del Mar, National President of the National Real Estate Association; Mr. Christopher de la Cruz, President of the Green Building Council; and Mr. Noel CariƱo, Executive Vice President of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Association, Inc.

Avida Towers Centera won over four other projects including SMDC’s Field Residences; Sta. Lucia Realty’s Splendido Taal Towers; DMCI’s Royal Palm Residences; and Camella Homes Inc.’s Tanza.  Likewise, Avida Towers Riala trumped two contenders, DMCI’s Royal Palm Residences and Hausland’s Nouveau Residences

Avida Towers Centera is a four-tower residential development that has a built-in retail center for shopping and other services. Strategically located at EDSA corner Reliance Street in Mandaluyong City, it gives the residents easy access to the all modern conveniences offered by urban living.

Contenders for the Development of the Year Award were judged based on the following criteria: Notable Innovations and Technology; Credibility of Property Developer/Strength of Brand; Outstanding Building Quality; Lifestyle Community and Amenities; and Project Aesthetics.

Avida Towers Riala, located at Cebu IT Park, offers wide green and open spaces as well as to the region’s corporate headquarters, business and IT/BPO offices and commercial and retail centers. It is a balance of city life and nature’s tranquillity.

Avida Towers Riala won the Best Lifestyle Community after it scored the highest in the following criteria: Quality of Lifestyle Promoted Through the Community and Amenities Offered; Lack of Pollution and Congestion; Accessibility of Project; Growth of Surrounding Community and Location; and Project Aesthetics.

“We are honoured to be the recipient of these awards. We see this recognition as an affirmation of the high quality of Avida projects. These awards also inspire us to continue giving only the best to our buyers and homeowners,” said Tess Tatco, Avida Marketing Head.

Myproperty.ph, an online avenue for real estate classifieds, held its very first Real Estate Awards this year. Summit Media and the European Classifieds Company, the two firms behind the website, organized the awards to celebrate the fast-paced future of the real estate.

With the Philippine real estate market in rapid and robust growth, MyProperty.ph established the awards to recognize excellence in the real estate industry. Developers in the Philippines who achieve high quality standards in their projects now have the chance to show how, through their perseverance, innovation, creativity, and hard work,  they stand out from the rest.

Myproperty.ph presented winners in eight categories: Most Eco-Friendly and/Sustainable Development; Fastest Selling Project; Best Housing Loan; Best Investment; Best Luxury Project; Best Starter Home; Best Lifestyle Community; and Development of the Year.

Avida Land was borne out of Ayala land’s desire to bring affordable living at its best to the greatest number of Filipinos.

After two decades of fulfilling dreams and 55 projects in 31 locations, Avida still provides the best community with the security and assurance of a healthy environment.

Keeping in mind its primary goal of creating "dream" shelters that enhance the quality of family life, Avida will continue to develop and maintain communities that set the standard in the industry, promote the growth of property values, ensure better and consistent quality, and deliver excellent value for money.
