Bryan XXV Termulo: The Birthday Concert on March 9 at the Music Museum

Bryan Termulo, dubbed as the country’s “The Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs” celebrating his 25th birthday and 5 years in the music industry, with his first major concert, “Bryan XXV: The Birthday Concert.”
Bryan is very simple yet promising, vigorous and young at heart. When you're an industry newcomer, it helps that your name sounds familiar. Perhaps the fact that "Termulo" is actually an anagram of "tremulo" (a trembling in music) helped Bryan Termulo somehow ring in the heads of industry movers? Or maybe - most likely - he turned heads because of that soothing, balladeer extraordinaire swagger that got most looking.
"The Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs", and aptly, after making hits one theme song after the other in primetime teleseryeson the Kapamilya network, the young balladeer is now crossing over yet again to another arena: concert performances.

Bryan's first concert coincidentally falls a day after his birth date, hence the title "Bryan XXV Termulo". This only means one thing for the fans, it's going to be a party.
Right now, Bryan admits to being busy at all the preparations, to the point of obsessing over the dos and don'ts with his production team. The balladeer is quick to point out though that trust plays an important part in his team where he listens to inputs as they do when he gives his.
"Sometimes I do suggest songs when I feel it would help. I'm very open naman if they say otherwise. I have my thoughts, I have my ideas, but if my team says otherwise, I'm okay," he says.

From now until the date of the concert, as Bryan juggles with the usual singing and acting, there would be tons of preparations going on.

Right now, with everything in place, Bryan admits to not being too complacent, as he wishes for the best in the upcoming concert - his first since he launched his debut album in 2010. How does he cope with the pressure?

"Practice hard, pray hard and work hard so that the concert becomes a success," Bryan divulges.

Feel good, inside and out with Suaveng Ahit, Gwapong Schick Barangay Tour Launched

Here's a community with a group initiated different activities focused on engaging and educating the community on proper physical grooming, healthy and active lifestyle, and community awareness.

Looking and feeling good is not just about taking care of yourself; it’s about caring for the things around you and the world you live in. This is precisely what razor brand Schick strives to promote with its ongoing Suaveng Ahit, Gwapong Schick Barangay Tour.

Schick launches its community beautification program called Suaveng Ahit, Gwapong Schick Barangay Tour. This activity aims to impart positivity among members of the community from various parts of the metropolis.
As one of the most trusted personal grooming brands for both men and women, Schick goes all out in pushing its advocacy by reaching out to their valued patrons. Through this project, the brand hopes to continue its goal of imparting positivity and self-confidence not only on a personal level but on the community scale.
The tour got off in on a rousing start last December when the caravan rolled into Salamalabanan Subdivision in Imus, Cavite.
The project was well received and garnered positive feedback from the community—something that Schick hopes to replicate in other locations within the metro. “We could not have asked for a better start to this tour,” says Claire Guevara, Schick senior brand manager.

“The Salamalabanan community here in Imus, Cavite was very gracious and receptive to what we were trying to accomplish as a brand. We greatly appreciate the effort and the participation put forth by the community and we hope that the same goes with our next destination.”
The tour will continue to visit designated locations throughout 2013, including communities around the area of Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Antipolo and Quezon City.
As part of the brand’s continuing mission to make people feel good both inside and out, the tour’s initiatives include activities such as giving free shaves and haircuts to residents, as well as conducting clean-up drives that help encourage community awareness of health and safety among the youth.

In the first leg the tour also hosted competitions that included a three-on-three basketball game, a free-throw and half-court shootout, as well as a dance showdown, all of which promoted good sportsmanship and camaraderie within the community. The winners and participants received cash prizes and gift packs from Schick.

The group stayed true to its promise of reaching out to the grassroots level. Together with celebrity host Regine Tolentino, the caravan visited tricycle terminals, groceries, and sari-sari stores and immersed themselves in the community while handing out free Schick products.

"Gary V Sings: Just For You" album presented with a Gold Record Award

The latest album of Gary Valenciano, Gary V Sings: Just For You, has recently been presented with a Gold Record Award for its outstanding sales. The award was given last February 10 during ASAP 18, where he also launched the second single of the album – a modern take on Stephen Bishop’s It Might Be You. Present during the awarding is Universal Records’ General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go.
The album includes Gary’s renditions of memorable hits like In Your Eyes, It Might Be You, Somewhere Down The Road, What Matters Most, Overjoyed, among others.

This newest album is just the first a series of "Gary V Sings" albums. It should be noted that "Gary V Sings: Just For You" is Gary's 26th full-length studio album with Universal Records.
"Gary V Sings: Just For You" is another creative and original concept by Gary which is six-months in the making. "I was in the car and I told Kiana [my youngest child] to make 'pa-simple' in asking her mom, my wife Angeli, about the songs she once mentioned to me. These songs were just some of her favorites that she had always dreamed I would record," says Gary.

"I wanted to make that year's Christmas a special one for her by actually recording some of her choice cuts as a gift. And so I did. The concept was very different from all my other recordings as I only had one instrument accompanying me as I sang...the piano," explains Gary. "Years went by and only Angeli has had a copy of those songs. From the very start I wanted these songs recorded for only one person...and that was her."

"Gary V Sings: Just For You," according to Gary "stems from a dream of a wife and from the heart of a husband, to an album that Gary hopes for many to enjoy and to find quite endearing."
The CD contains 10 tracks including Barry Manilow’s “Somewhere Down The Road” and “As Sure As I’m Standing Here”; Stephen Bishop’s “It Might Be You”; Judy Collins’ “Send In The Clowns”; Stevie Wonder’s “Overjoyed”; James Ingram’s “Just Once”; Kenny Rankin’s “What Matters Most”; Michael Jackson’s “Someone In The Dark”; Burton Cummings’ “I Will Always Wait For You”; and the CD’s carrier single, George Benson’s “In Your Eyes.”
