The recent surge is attributed to LINE’s unparalleled communication services that are the most safe and reliable, in the midst of recent system trouble experienced by other service providers.

“We are pleased to provide our many users in the Philippines with a complete, exciting, and secure mobile messaging experience,” remarked Mr. Greg Kim, Head of the Philippines at LINE Business Development Division, LINE Plus Corporation.

Many users have already chosen LINE as the ideal solution that offers an advanced system support and wide range of features that offer free messaging, voice and video calling, as well as interactive elements such as Stickers, Timeline and Official Accounts, under the ongoing industrial changes in the mobile messaging market.

All user information submitted when creating a new account, as well as messages exchanged between users, are encrypted. Moreover, LINE adheres to its company policy of not providing any user information to an external party.

LINE is also the first mobile messenger in the world to receive all three international certifications in internal control management (SOC2, SOC3 and SysTrust), which proves its leading security standards.

LINE will continue to safely protect all user information from third party access and will continue to offer the most dynamic services that can be trusted anywhere around the world.

Philips Airfryer now available in over 100 countries

AirFryer3

Philips confirmed as the world’s leading low fat fryer brand. Launched just over three years ago, Philips recently announced that the Philips Airfryer, an innovative kitchen appliance that enables consumers to prepare a variety of meals in a healthier way, is now available in more than 100 countries.

With almost fifty percent share of the global market for ‘light’ fryers, Euromonitor has confirmed that Philips is the world’s No.1 low fat fryer brand.

Philips No1 brand in low fat fryers
First launched in France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands at the end of 2010, and most recently in North America and Japan, the Philips Airfryer is now a truly global proposition.

“The Philips Airfryer is a great example of how we are driving profitable growth, by taking global innovations and bringing them to market in a way that is highly relevant for local consumers,” said Philips Consumer Lifestyle CEO Netherlands, Pieter Nota. “Eating healthier is an important lifestyle trend that transcends markets and with our Airfryer, we are empowering millions of consumers to make healthier choices every day.”

Global innovation with local relevance

AirFryer1
Philips is driving growth in kitchen appliances, by approaching global propositions from the perspective of the local consumer. Through in-depth consumer interaction, we identified many local dishes that can be prepared with the Philips Airfryer in a more healthy way. For example, a relevant dish in the Netherlands and the UK is French fries, in Japan, fried shrimp, in North America, chicken wings, in India, samosa, in the Philippines, crispy pata. In each market, the Philips Airfryer includes a collection of recipes specific to local tastes.

Innovative Rapid Air Technology

Conventional deep fat fryers use large amounts of oil to cook food. Depending on the dish, the Philips Airfryer requires no, or very little oil, instead, it uses patented Rapid Air technology, a combination of high-speed air circulation and a top grill. With this unique technology the hot air circulates around the ingredients at very high speed - cooking from all sides at once. Air-fried lechon kawali for instance, contain up to 80% less fat compared to cooking in a deep fat fryer, without compromising on taste.

AirFryer2Digital Touchscreen Interface

Any kitchen space would have a sleek modern feel with the Philips Digital AirFryer's digital touchscreen that can be used to customize settings and cook food perfectly the way you like them. Its timer allows an up to 60 minute preset with a ready sound indicator and auto off function to avoid burning or overcooking any dish. These features allow french fries, fried chicken, and any snack to be prepared at the right time and temperature for the best food experience, minus the guilt from fried food!

With Globe myBusiness, entrepreneurs can make Wonderful happen for their own businesses

Globe myBusiness is providing business owners and their SMBs new products, services and solutions that help them rediscover a world full of possibilities, opportunities, and brighter tomorrows.

It's one where business owners and their SMBs are able to do business with greater ease, with more efficiency at less cost, and attain sustainability and growth.
"We launched Globe myBusiness in support of business owners and their SMBs. We call it 'Globe myBusiness' as we endeavor to serve the owners and their businesses as if they were our own. It reflects the level of service we provide which is highly personalized and targeted. We are not a mere network provider to them but their business advisor in the most real sense.

"At Globe myBusiness, we listen to our customers’ needs and help them customize a suite of solutions and services designed to address their specific requirements. Globe myBusiness' differentiator is the ability to understand and deliver on the needs of business owners and their SMBs in a way nobody else can," said Martha Sazon, Globe myBusiness Head.

Martha Sazon, Globe myBusiness Head
Sazon pointed out that business owners and their SMBs are a very "sophisticated" market. They know what they want and how to get it. "It all comes down to fulfilling our promise to business owners and their SMBs - that through our team we can make their businesses better by helping them maximize our services. It's ultimately about being a trusted business adviser and constantly delivering on that," she explained.

One perfect example of how a partnership between Globe myBusiness and business owners and their SMBs can produce beneficial results is the case of restaurateur Happy Ongpauco. According to her, she is able to live a wonderful personal life while growing her business. And she has Globe myBusiness to thank for. As a result, she’s been a loyal Globe subscriber for 20 years already.

Happy still remembers the wonder she felt when she got her very first cellular phone from her dad. It was a postpaid handset from Globe. At that time, when cellular phones were not as common as they are today, the instant connections that Globe provided her added a different dimension to her life.

Happy Ongpauco
“Communication between family and friends became so much easier. And when my managers and staff got their own cellular phones, running my restaurants became more efficient. I was able to save on operating costs as we could exchange information more quickly and make decisions faster. We were also able to cut-down on the time and cost of transportation because face-to-face meetings became unnecessary in many cases,” said Happy.

Happy comes from a family of restaurateurs—they own the Barrio Fiesta Group of companies. She learned the ropes of running a restaurant by working in her family’s various outlets, which include Barrio Fiesta, Bakahan at Manukan, Singing Cooks and Waiters, Atbp., and Isdaan. She also studied to become a chef at the Culinary Institute of America.

So it was no surprise when she started her very first restaurant, World Topps, in Timog Avenue, Quezon City in year 2000. She had to borrow money to turn a 60-square meter space into her first restaurant concept which was all about serving global cuisine as rice toppings. In 2011, she opened a second World Topps branch and also a new concept restaurant, Bento Box.

Happy’s other businesses include three other restaurants: Hawaiian Bar-B-Que, Pamana Restaurant, and the I Luv Backyard BBQ joint. She also established the Chef Happy’s Home Made Specialties and Catering Kitchen, and My Happy Carts, which are themed food carts for kiddie parties. Those interested in availing of the services of any of Happy’s businesses should visit the website http://www.happyconceptgroup.com/

Despite having her own restaurants, she is still involved in the Barrio Fiesta Group. These past two years, she’s been busy with opening and taking charge of two Barrio Fiesta branches in Dubai, and one in Canada. She will open another branch in Qatar by the first quarter of 2014.

Happy has also expanded from the food business into the travel and tourism sector. She established The Boutique Bed & Breakfast, a seven-bedroom boutique hotel in Tagaytay. More recently, she put up Slim At Home, a mobile slimming clinic and spa that offers home services to clients. All of these enterprises are operated under the umbrella of her Happy Concept Group of Companies.

According to her, she has enjoyed the benefits of a wonderful life through the advantages that Globe myBusiness has brought to her businesses. “Thanks to the innovative and relevant products of Globe myBusiness, it’s much easier for me to run my business while also having the time and energy for my family and personal hobbies.”

Happy explained that her businesses benefitted greatly from the package of customized services that Globe myBusiness helps create for them. “The MySuper Plans that we got from Globe myBusiness help me, my managers, and my staff keep in touch constantly. In our businesses, we have a lot of people who use their mobile phones differently. Some rely on texting most of the time. Others need to make a lot of voice calls. And then we have people who need to use their smartphones for Internet browsing.

“The good thing about MySuper Plan is that we can choose different packages of features and services for the needs of different people in our organization. And because we only pay for the services we actually need, we are able to bring our telecommunications costs down.

Happy pointed out that Globe myBusiness provides her with 24/7 access to after sales support and customer service. “We’ve also been getting advice about Globe myBusiness products and services through various touchpoints. I get all these through our dedicated Globe myBusiness account manager, or via Globe Stores, the hotline, website, Twitter or Facebook.” Happy has also been doing transactions with Globe online, whether for purchasing products and services or paying their Globe bills.

“I just love the way I am able to access Globe myBusiness whenever, wherever and however I want.” she said. “For me, Globe myBusiness consistently delivers its promise. I can always count on them to help us with both our personal and business needs. I can truly say that they are our trusted business adviser," she added.

Happy Ongpauco and Globe myBusiness. Partners for life. Wonderful.
