Jessica Palmiano, Nessotech has diversified with the recent establishment of Togetech whose mandate is the creation of mobile applications that directly serve the customers, which includes retail and peer-to-peer client.

Based in the Philippines, TogeTech designs and develops mobile-based solutions for Filipinos. TogeTech specializes in developing solutions that answer the needs and challenges faced by the average Filipino citizen

Togetech envisions itself to be a provider of applications geared towards connectivity, financial inclusion, and convenience of customers.

Togetech initially launched the Moneygment - app, which is a payments solutions mobile app providing remittance for government contributions and loans, as well as computation, filing and tax payments.

The founders of Moneygment understand the importance of these contributions, especially to the OFWs and their families that they have been serving for the past few years. This inspired them to work continuously in improving their systems in order to provide the most up-to-date services and reports to their customers. They are aware of the difficulties regarding delays in processing and unposted transactions causing benefits to be delayed as well. That is why they developed the Moneygment app that the customers can easily access through their mobile devices, and hence, they can immediately generate reports and get updates about their transactions.

Moneygment caters as well to the growing number of self-employed individuals, freelancers, homemakers paying for the mandatory contributions of their kasambahays or household help, and micro and small enterprises to make paying and filing taxes and government contributions easy and convenient.

Ma. Jessica Palmiano, President and CEO of Togetech

“Moneygment does not only focus on providing convenience for spending, but spending on things that will help ‘future-proof’ our customers,” says Ma. Jessica Palmiano, President and CEO of Togetech.
“Future-proofing means being responsible citizens through filing and paying taxes, ensuring savings and insurance coverage through utilizing government initiatives provided by SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig. We are all focused on the now, yet we may lose sight of what we need to prepare for the future so we give you Moneygment to help you secure that future. The future does not only refer to when you are 60 years old and above. This is as simple as ensuring you have medical funds when you get sick, claiming for calamity loans when calamities happen, applying to own your home or looking for a funding source for your desired trip to another country. Future-proofing is also helping you achieve financial confidence by being able to provide financial tax returns even if you are operating a micro-enterprise enabling you to secure financial assistance in growing your business.”

Delgado Clinic launches Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) Program to promote healthy pregnancy

Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital, more popularly known as the Delgado Clinic, has been championing mother care for 70 years with a record of more than a hundred thousand babies being delivered to date. From normal births to high-risk complications, the Delgado Clinic has taken an extra measure of love and personalized care as all mothers do to make sure their child not only lives, but flourishes.

True to its legacy, the Delgado Clinic introduces the Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) program, a free three-day workshop that serves as the ultimate care, support and education system for moms-to-be designed to minimize or even eliminate congenital defect, premature birth, new-born infections, and other chronic complications for both mothers and children.

An Optimal Birth Outcome (OBO) is achieved when there is zero or reduced complications. The OBO program does this by providing added-value services in support of the foundational needs of every individual mother. No matter what level of physical or emotional health they mother comes in with, the goal of the program is to provide the best possible childbearing outcome for each mother and child.

The OBO program focuses on five aspects of health that are scientifically proven to have wide ranging effects for every pregnancy.

• Nutrition and Wellness- Delgado Clinic has localized the latest scientific nutrition information to support reduced negative birth outcomes, achieve optimum growth and development of the baby and provide a stable environment from which both mother and child may spring from.

• Biotransformation & Elimination of Toxicants- The advent of urbanization has surrounded mothers with multiple toxic elements that are often missed and unassessed. Pulling from the latest scientific evidence the OBO program equips mothers with the practical knowledge of avoiding and substituting today’s most commonly used harmful chemicals.

• Stress Management- Stress during pregnancy affects a child’s developing brain, metabolic system and body. Through the OBO stress mangament workshop mothers are taught the multiple ways of managing stress and its link to long term maternal and child diseases.

• Exercise in Pregnancy - Physical exercise is an activity that improves or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness. Exercise during pregnancy is important and can help with some common discomforts of pregnancy and support the body for labor, delivery and life after delivery.

• Sleep Management- Establishing good sleep patterns during pregnancy is physically, psychologically and emotionally important. A good sleep pattern plays an important role in the preparation for birth, and protects the baby from the psychological stresses and strains of pregnancy.

Dr. Rolando “Oyie” Balburias, President and General Manager of Delgado Clinic once stated that , “We at Delgado Clinic would like to continue the legacy of our late founder, Dr. Jesus Delgado, his VISION and MISSION, and on being the pioneer advocate of CHAMPION OF MOTHER CARE for the past 70 years.”

Easy payments, top-ups at The SM Store

Be it the latest fashion items, toys, shoes or home products, Filipinos can now easily pay for all their shopping finds at The SM Store with just their phones with the help of PayMaya QR.

Getting a PayMaya account is easy. All they have to do is download the PayMaya app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, register for an account using any mobile number from a Philippine mobile network, load up their account in any of the more than 15,000 PayMaya load-up touchpoints nationwide, and use the “Scan” QR feature within the app to instantly pay for their purchases.

"SM has been an early partner of PayMaya as a load-up center for our customers, as well as a valued partner of our Smart Padala remittance service. This is a natural progression of our collaboration as we make it easier for our customers to use their PayMaya accounts anywhere they are in the country. We thank our partners like SM for helping accelerate cashless adoption among consumers," said Orlando B. Vea, President and CEO at PayMaya Philippines.

Building a Cashless Philippines

PayMaya’s partnership with The SM Store for QR-based payments builds on its trailblazing initiative of building a “Cashless Philippines” in line with National Retail Payment System initiative led by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas that aims to increase the share of electronic transactions in the country by 20% in 2020.

To support this vision, PayMaya has launched game-changing innovations including PayMaya QR. Various merchants are now equipped with the payments technology, including all Smart Stores nationwide, food parks like The Yard Timog, Pioneer Street Market, and Hue Hotel and Resorts and Station X in Boracay, as well as establishments such as Fairmont Makati and Army Navy, among many others.

Today, PayMaya is also the largest online and mobile acquirer in the Philippines, powering card payment acceptance of some of the biggest e-Commerce retailers in the country, including the likes of Lazada, Zalora, Philippine Airlines, and Cebu Pacific. Most recently, PayMaya has enabled McDonald's to accept card payments in its restaurants and online delivery card acceptance will also be available soon.

PayMaya Philippines, the country’s pioneer and leader in cashless payments, is the digital financial services arm of PLDT’s Voyager Innovations.
