Ready to take on the mission: NorthPine Land Reinforces its Sales Team

With a more driven and positive stance, NorthPine Land, Inc. (NLI) is thrilled and all set to embark on a new chapter of its real estate journey and to clinch more wins this year. All NLI’s teams of sellers presented their pledged sales target and further fortified their commitment to the company in its recently-held Sales Kickoff at The Hanging Gardens, Fairview, Quezon City.

NLI executives (left to right), namely: Erwin Buñag (AVP for Construction Management), Benigno A. Tatunay (CFO), Wilhelmina C. de Ere (VP for Corporate Services), Ferdinand M. Macabanti (General Manager), Aileen B. Morales (AVP for Sales Operations), Paul D. Lamagna (AVP for Project Development), and Amytis S. Banaag (AVP for HRODA and Corporate Training) are united to accept and face the challenge this 2019.

Inspired by the Knights of the Round Table, agents from NLI’s Sales Networks convened for the first time this 2019. As they jumpstart the year, the team has just one and unified battle cry and that is to commit to NorthPine Land and to commit to making more dreams come to life.

NLI’s Royal Court spearheads the presentation of the company’s newest developments.

The night’s highlight was the official reveal of NorthPine Land’s newest milestones for 2019. Kahaya Place, NLI’s townhouse development situated at Dasmariñas City, Cavite, is first in line. Being one of the fastest-selling projects, the launch of the second phase of Kahaya Place has been highly anticipated by NLI team and homebuyers. Another venture the company looks forward to is the opening of Kohana Grove Expansion. This Modern Asian lifestyle community located at Silang, Cavite was officially introduced in 2013 and is now a thriving neighborhood.

NLI also unveiled the new additions to the stunning lineup of houses in Montana Views and Montana Strands. Montana Views now boasts of its biggest model unit, named Rushmore which is the first and only house offered by NLI with 5 Bedrooms. Meanwhile, Montana Strands which was just inaugurated in 2018, added Nancy as a response to the increasing housing needs in Pampanga.

The company’s General Manager, Ferdinand Macabanti reminded NLI team on the importance of this year’s mission, “Our projects are constantly growing. The communities that we create are unparalleled. They’re all unique in their own way. All perfect for family living. In our country where a lot of people and families do not get to live a comfortable life they deserve, we must feel responsible to share our projects that offer only the best for them!”

The newest breakthroughs only prove that for NorthPine Land, there’s no other way but to go North. It is committed to carry on its mission to provide premium middle-income communities; the dream that many Filipinos aspire.

Prevent the spread of measles virus in your household

Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Gargle and Throat Spray effectively kill viruses

Many people are growing concerned because of the increasing number of individuals stricken with measles or tigdas across the country. The Department of Health (DOH) has raised the red flag and has declared an outbreak in five regions — Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Western Visayas, and Central Visayas[2].

In these five regions alone, almost 1,400 confirmed cases of measles have been listed as of last February 7, of this number, 22 have been confirmed by the DOH to have died because of the disease. Several other regions are now also being monitored because of an increase in the number of measles cases reported there. These regions are MIMAROPA, Ilocos, Northern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Soccksargen[3]and the DOH is asking them to step up their response to the disease.

Some of the most susceptible to the disease are unvaccinated young children, according to the World Health Organization[4]. But, anybody can be infected including pregnant women, teenagers, and even adults. In fact, DOH data from 2016 shows that young adults aged 16-20 are the second largest group infected by measles[5].

Measles is regarded as a highly contagious and infectious condition. It can be transmitted by coughing or sneezing or through direct contact with anyone infected with it. Symptoms include high fever that lasts four to seven days, runny nose, cough, red and watery eyes, and white spots that develop inside the cheeks. After a few days, rashes appear and then it spreads all over the body[6].

Children aged five years old or younger and adults 21 and above are especially vulnerable to complications caused by measles. Some of the common complications are ear infections and diarrhea, while severe complications include pneumonia and encephalitis[7], the latter two might even lead to death.

Right now, the most effective tool against measles is prevention through immunization, especially in young children. Help stop the spread of measles virus through proper oral, hand, and body hygiene plus Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Throat and Mouth Care solutions that are proven to effectively kill the measles virus. In a laboratory test conducted by Japanese doctors in 1997, they have proven that Povidone-Iodine is able to kill many viruses, including the measles virus, in a relatively short span of time[8].

One of the leading and most trusted antiseptic brands of Povidone-Iodine in the country is BETADINE®8,9,10, which also has a whole line of upper respiratory care products proven safe and effective for use inside and outside our homes.

The first product in the line is Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Gargle, which has been proven to kill various types of viruses in as early as 15 seconds7. Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Gargle is perfect for use at home and is effective in addressing not just viruses but also bacteria and fungi11,12.

When outside the house, Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Throat Spray is a good choice. Like Povidone-Iodine (BETADINE®) Gargle, it is also capable of killing viruses in as early as 15 seconds7. It also kills bacteria and fungi11, 12.

Yellow Cab fuels thousands of Hustlers with Pizza Tour

Yellow Cab recently wrapped up its So Worth It! The Yellow Cab Pizza Tour, with thousands of hungry hustlers fueled by the iconic pizza joint to chase their so-worth-it aspirations this 2019.

Yellow Cab’s multi-legged event mobilized the hardworking crowd of Metro Manila, Baguio, and Davao, serving up Yellow Cab’s bestselling pizza with a hefty dose of positive energy from inspiring musical performances. To keep the momentum going, participants were also handed limited edition Pizza Passes, which they can use to redeem discounts when they dine in at Yellow Cab stores and order their favorites.

“Today’s generation of hustlers are very passionate about their goals, but this doesn’t mean that they are immune to challenges that make them stop and ask if what they do is even worth it,” said Charlene Sapina, Head of Marketing Operations for Yellow Cab

“That’s why we at Yellow Cab ran the first ever Pizza Tour in January, to make sure that hungry hustlers everywhere get the powering head start they need to prove that the chase is not just worth it, but so worth it.”

Folk-pop band, Ben&Ben headlined the tour’s kick off at Eastwood Central Plaza in Quezon City, where they also debuted two new singles as a special treat to their fellow hustlers. The fast-rising act seem to be destined for greatness with their back-to-back hits and sold-out gigs, but life in the fast lane wasn’t always this rewarding for the group. To help them get through the hardships that came with the pursuit of their craft, they leaned on each other for support, and Yellow Cab to satiate their hunger.

Yellow Cab’s exciting list of so-worth-it performers in Eastwood also included indie rock group Oh, Flamingo! and high-octane spinners DJ Miaow and DJ MVRXX.

Over in Baguio City, hundreds of hustlers flocked to Baguio-Ayala Land Technohub to witness some of the City of Pines’ hippest acts, including soulful spinner DJ Jethro, punk-pop group Amateurish, and lo-fi post-rock band Turncoats.

Davao City saw veteran spinner DJ Ryan setting the mood for the evening of festivities, followed by an acoustic set by One Life Band, and Pilipinas Got Talent grand finalist and Davao’s favorite boyband Next Option.

“Music and good food go perfectly well together,” shared Sapina. “We partnered with these artists not just to complement Yellow Cab’s offerings, but also to inspire people with their success stories. Their rise to prominence is a product of hours of hustling and beating the odds, and all their efforts are really so worth it.”

While hustlers everywhere can still look forward to more exciting activities from Yellow Cab, the So Worth It! The Yellow Cab Pizza Tour will go down in the brand’s history as another successful shot at delivering generous, edge-to-edge flavors while giving modern day hustlers the unrelenting drive they need to succeed.

#MegaGandaAngBuhay ! MEGA Sardines’ ‘First Day’ delivers a mega dose of ‘kilig’

Do you still remember your first day at your very first job?

In the wake of its first two viral videos “Adulting” and “Tipidity,” MEGA Sardines, the Number 1 sardines brand in the Philippines, treads lightly into 2019 with “First Day,” its third short film under its #MegaGandaAngBuhay trilogy.

“First Day” tells the story of Joseph, an idealistic, fresh-out-of-college young man from Cebu (played by Jindric Macapagal) who is caught in an awkward situation on his first day at work in a Makati office.

What could go wrong—or right—on Day 1?

“‘First Day’ reveals the answer in an unexpected and heartwarming manner, delivering a mega dose of‘kilig’ on a hugely relatable slice of life,” says film director and public relations specialist Chris Cahilig.

As shown in its first two short films, the MEGA Sardines’ #MegaGandaAngBuhay campaign, Cahilig points out, reinforces timeless Filipino themes and values. While “Tipidity” brought humor and “Adulting”delivered drama, “First Day,” the third and last film in the trilogy, offers lighthearted moments and wraps up with a plot twist that the audience won’t see coming.

“Whether at work or at home, there’s very little doubt that intriguing conversations—and relationships—can be sparked by delectable comfort food,” Cahilig hints at what’s coming.

However one looks at it, “First Day” fits right into the #MegaGandaAngBuhay campaign by depicting how MEGA Sardines, as a staple viand, has fortuitously figured in the unforgettable “firsts” of its Filipino patrons.

“First Day” was made possible by Tiu Lim Foundation (executive producer), Rommel Sales (cinematography), Yuji Gonzales (screenplay), Jegs Morales (offline editor), Kenneth Amparo (online editor), Melai Entuna (line producer), Clark Lopez (assistant director), Kat Salinas (sound design), Richard Gonzales (scoring), Det Moldera (accounts manager), Yani Bautista (production manager), and Johanna Evangelista (production coordinator). “First Day” can be viewed on MEGA’s official Facebook page www.facebook.com/officialmegasardines and YouTube channel (Mega Global).

Meanwhile, “Tipidity” and “Adulting” have garnered, to date, almost 3 million views on YouTube alone. Both short films can also be viewed on MEGA Sardines’ official Facebook page.

Manufactured by Mega Global Corporation, MEGA Sardines offers the freshest and most delicious sardines packed within 12 hours from catching to canning. It is available in easy-to-open cans and pouch formats for convenience.

MEGA Sardines is available in supermarkets nationwide, with a wide array of variants like MEGA Sardines in Tomato Sauce, Tomato Sauce with Chili, Paksiw Style, and Spanish-Style; MEGA Sardines Creations in Natural Oil and in Spanish-Style; MEGA Extra Hot Sardines; MEGA Fried Sardines Tausi and MEGA Fried Sardines Hot and Spicy.
