Cheers ! Reunions with Rossi Sweet Red

Living life to the fullest is what we are enjoying and making the best of everything. Socializing, celebrations during holidays, vacations, parties, occasions, even just small get-together or bondings or hanging up with friends, reunions with colleagues, long lost friends and relatives.

These parties, reunions and bondings are best time of life with thunderous laughter, sweet tears of joy, an endless weave of stories, telling where you’ve been and what you’ve accomplished and reconnecting over shared stories, creating new memories with long-lost friends, sharing your passion . . . and the passage of time become irrelevant as though the earth has temporarily stopped from its tedious orbit around the sun.

These are the glorious moments when friends and family suddenly find each other, whether planned or by surprise, in one table sharing precious moments. Reunions, the best, in other words, are priceless.

Bestselling author Jerry Spinellie described it better when he wrote in his book Love, Stargirl: “May our reunion be not a finding but a sweet collision of destinies.”

In many gatherings, wine-drinking has become part of many Filipino festivities and has become evident in Philippine lifestyle. While it has become a common sight, one may note that a hurdle to wine drinking among Filipinos is the preference for sweetness.

And these moments can be made even more special with delectable food and a flavorful wine that would satisfy everyone’s sweet palate, like Rossi Sweet Red, another masterpiece from California winemaker Carlo Rossi, the Number One Table Wine in the world and the Number One Imported Table Wine in the Philippines.

Rossi Sweet Red has layers of vanilla, bright cherry, and wild raspberry flavors. Its light medium body stays with you, no matter how you drink it—chilled or with ice—and goes smoothly well with any food whether fish, meat, cheese, or vegetarian.

Rossi Sweet Red is healthy because there is no sugar or artificial sweetener added to make it sweet. It is crafted from grapes grown in California where the sun nourishes the grapes to perfection, assuring you of wines that are bursting with flavor and aroma.

Reunions between friends or loved ones may be just a short flicker of time that can easily pass. But it can be time well spent and even more meaningful and special with lodes of stories, memories and good food.

Enjoy your wonderful world with friends and love ones. Cheers, smile more, hug a friend and show your love, made extra special with Carlo Rossi Sweet Red.

Rossi Sweet Red is now available at leading supermarkets and convenience stores for all those gatherings.

Star Cinema Brings Together Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Enrique Gil and Kean Cipriano in THE REUNION

Star Cinema pumps up the silverscreen with its ultimate 'barkada' movie event of the year titled "The Reunion," which gathers four of the most promising actors of their generation--

Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Kean Cipriano, and Xian Lim.
Directed by Frasco Mortiz, "The Reunion" is a coming-of-age comedy flick that follows the adventures and misadventures of Lloyd (Enchong), Bogs (Enrique), Pat (Kean), and Joax (Xian) after their life in high school and now as they struggle to pursue their passion for music and their respective life goals.

"The movie will present the journey of a high school barkada who reunited after so many years to trace back their lives and search for the things that went wrong and the people that they've hurt in order to change their future," said Direk Frasco.

Meanwhile, lead stars Xian and Enrique shared that the whole cast are so thrilled to finally watch their film which is said to be inspired by the hit songs of the legendary 90′s Pinoy rock band, Eraserheads.

“It's like the 'Bagets' of the new generation, so expect a lot of comedy. It's a tale of friends simply having fun,” said Enrique. Xian, on the other hand, further shared how excited they are to hear what their fans had to say about their film. He said, “I really hope that a lot of people will get entertained with our movie. It has a great cast and an equally great director.”

As they relive the fun of their high school years and trace back their mistakes, will Lloyd, Bogs, Pat, and Joax finally make things right and positively change their future?

Post Reunion Random Thoughts

As far as I remember , after graduating from high school , I haven’t seen many of my classmates and batchmates for 30 years, except of course for some  who became my college class/schoolmates. But then even they, after college, we separated ways.

At first I thought reunions of good old friends here in today’s social network sites  like facebook , friendster (!) is fine enough. But I decided to come to this reunion in January , with excitement, and curiosity. It’s not a very formal reunion anyway. Just a get together sort of our batch.  I was excited to see my old friends, my classmates, clubmates , bandmates  and all.  Curious to see familiar faces and see how they all  have turned out after so many years! I have a good memory of people and events. I am a nostalgic sort of a person. It’s so fun to reminisce things over and over again! Sometimes I think I’m stuck in my childhood.  I think a part of me never grew up.

The night was so good, the organizers did a great job. Some of our teachers also showed up. There was a buffet dinner, cocktails, a video presentation of old pictures, a very lively program , games, great speeches. There was also a silent moment of prayer while pictures of  batchmates who died are being shown.

Picture takings are  everywhere as some do  table hopping to greet batchmates of familiar faces. It’s a joy to recognize people immediately and see they looked better than before. Even more joyful when they recognized you at once and tell you haven’t change a bit !  My closest friends’ private joke was , “Oh my, so I looked this matured 30 years back then!! Ha ha ha.”

After the program, and more picture takings, music of 80’s were played and people danced as if they were on their JS prom!  T’was really good to be young again! Some just enjoyed watching. What a night ! It ended with see you soon, see you in fb, email me, call me, text me farewells.

Everyone seemed to be pleased to see each other.  But just one  night of catching up of three decades of being apart wasn’t enough. Almost every group went separately,  in different places, bars , restaurants , or in our case, we went to one of  our classmates’ condominium unit in Makati to cap the night with more stories and plans of more reunions. That was Saturday night , ended until the morning , lunchtime of Sunday!

I’m so glad I went to that evening of celebration of our youth and adulthood, a night of fun and surprises . And yes, it will never stop, as more batchmates and classmates are suddenly coming out to join us. Oh well, reunions and re discovering of people…really never stops, never stops adding color to what we call  Life!
