Edward Benosa video to beat strong contenders at Star Awards

Looking at the PMPC Star Awards for Music’s line-up for this year’s Best Music Video category, one gets the conclusion that it is loaded with established singing stars, a famous actor, and a relatively new, yet fast-rising artist. The last is Edward Benosa whose music video for his third and latest single “Puso Kong Ito” was nominated alongside entries from the likes of Juris, Sam Concepcion, Vice Ganda, and Rivermaya.

The video, directed by the highly touted Carlo Obispo, is hard not to recognize, especially for its scenic images and carefully edited shots. It surely helped that Obispo is into high-grade film-making, giving the video that short film touch instead of just plain music clip.

It features a charming ballet dancer from Ballet Manila and projects Ed’s boy-next-door charm to the fore. The pop ballad, written by Vincent Velasquez, complements the video like creamer to coffee.

“It’s one of my favorite songs I recorded so far because I feel there’s something unique about it,” shared Edward who at the moment is also rehearsing for a musical he will be in called Mula Sa Buwan, slated to be staged in Ateneo University grounds this December.

Edward, first seen by the public as a StarStruck hopeful and later, that remarkable face at The Voice’s blind auditions, has quickly developed a strong fan base owing to his string of good releases and memorable exposures. His debut hit “Di Man Lang Nagpaalam” gave him a grand entrance of sort, while tracks like Iingatan Ko, Sa Piling Mo, and Paglisan strengthened his hold for that fast-growing lot of fans. In fact he already has an official Facebook account nicely named Ed Benosa Loyal Supporters.

Big thanks also to the support of his manager and collaborator, actor Arnold Reyes, who is himself a success story in the music scene almost by the snap of a finger. One time he thought of writing a song, joined Himig Handog and Levi Celerio songwriting contests, and both placed high enough to get everyone’s attention. He penned or helped for most of Edward’s songs.

In referring to his talent, Arnold directly stated, “I took him in kasi grabe ang vocal range niya. May puso siya kumanta, very emotional.”

Edward will be releasing his second album by February next year.

Last April, Edward delivered a 25th birthday concert for his fans at the Teatrino in Greenhills. That show was a proof he certainly deserved the Best New Male Recording Artist citation from Star Awards in 2015. The concert was called “Most Requested” in reference to his hit first single “Di Man Lang Nagpaalam”. He has been an in-demand act since.

His versions of Carol Banawa’s “Stay” and The Script’s “Breakeven” showcase his versatility as a singer, one of his strengths.

Edward has good words for the kind of great support he gets from fans and friends, “Ang sarap ng pakiramdam when you have supporters who truly care about you because they like you and your songs.”

Edward’s quick rise may be attributed to his determination to prove he could contribute. His next step is taking in acting jobs to see what he can do as an actor. He is set to appear in a film titled Bubog wherein he will play a policeman.

Showbiz fans are likely to use the term gwapulis for him as it can be recalled that Sarah Geronimo expressed regret, albeit in a cute way, for not turning her chair during Edward’s blind audition. Looks is always a plus for this half-Spanish mestizo, but he puts up a lot of work to complement that well with talent.

The Puso Kong Ito music video is made possible by Dannon Clothing. Edward Benosa’s steady rise to the top is largely a doing of his deep passion and care for audiences.

Filipina Singer Ivy Grace Paredes Gets All The Yeses She Needs From The X Factor UK Judges

Ivy Grace Paredes, 33, from the Philippines, impressed all four judges of The X Factor UK with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s All The Man I Need on the sixth episode of the show today.

On camera before she belted out her version of the hit song, she said that she was inspired to join the competition after seeing 4th Impact on the show last year. “If they can make it, I can make it, too.” She said that she wasn’t getting any younger but that she could still be on The X Factor UK stage.

After her powerful performance Simon Cowell reacted, "Oh my God! What just happened there?!"

"She just sang our faces off, pretty much, that's what happened," replied Nicole Scherzinger.

Louis Walsh said that her audition was amazing to which Simon said it was more than amazing and thought the second half was incredible.

“Everybody comes in here saying ‘I want it so bad, am fighting for it’ but that, right there, is wanting it and fighting for it,” said Nicole. Louis said she was sensational and thought she was a little diva. Sharon Osbourne said that Ivy Grace did herself proud.

A native of Malaybalay, Bukidon, Ivy Grace tearfully said that she chose to join The X Factor UK because of her daughter.

"For me, I believe this is the biggest competition and I want to be a part of it. (The) X Factor (UK) can give me the stepping stones I need to do good in the future because this is all for my daughter." Her daughter is 2 ½ years old and is under the care of her parents in the Philippines.

The Inspiring Life Story of Leo J. Consul

“A man of perseverance and dedication, a man who is willing to walk a thousand miles just to reach his destination.”

This is how actor and host Leo Consul says he would describe himself to people meeting him for the first time.

A former host of Eat Bulaga Indonesia, Leo – who has been living abroad for almost four years—recently returned to the Philippines for a short visit.

“The show catapulted my career in Indonesia and made me a household name. It was a fun and exciting experience because I was recognized not only in Indonesia but in the Philippines as well. It was a difficult for a newbie like me in so many levels but I managed to get thru it all,” he says.

He ended up leaving the show after a year in search of greener pastures. Also, getting by day-to-day was a struggle.

Living alone away from his family, friends and his comfort zone was no joke, he says.

“It’s not a walk in the park. The struggle is real. I started there as a teacher in an international school but my passion wasn’t there. I quit the profession and pursued my career in the entertainment industry,” he says.

But Leo’s Eat Bulaga Indonesia experience did lead to positive things. He became known an gor other work. “The show paved the way and opened doors for me. I was trusted by different networks to host my own show up until now. Leo hosts the morning TV show, Celeb On News in Indonesia and will soon start in his own teleserye. He is also dubbing a cartoon series in Indonesia titled “Kiko” which will be aired internationally.

Throughout his four years in Indonesia, Leo kept alive his dream of breaking into show business in the Philippines.

“It has been my dream to break into the entertainment industry here in the Philippines“While I am doing great back in Indonesia as a TV host, commercial model and an actor, I still have this yearning to be seen here and entertain our kababayan, most specially my father who has been dreaming of seeing me on local TV, doing things I am passionate about, instead of watching me on DVD/CP copies of my shows back in Indonesia,” he explains.

That dream came true when he met TV host and talent manager Boy Abunda.

“I asked for Direk Eric Quizon’s help for my movie and he said Boy Abunda might be of great help. He sent an email to Boy to introduce me and cc-ed me and from there, we started talking about this whole thing. Boy Abunda and I officially met when he visited Jakarta last year.”

Boy will be managing his career in the Philippines and in other Asian countries except Indonesia.
Leo considers that a lucky break. “I am blessed and fortunate enough to be given this once in a lifetime opportunity by Boy Abunda to introduce me and explore the possibilities there in the Philippines,” says Leo.

“At times, I would see myself while on the set of my shows, daydreaming and asking myself what would it be like doing the same thing that I do back there but I a different setting, audience and country, which is my home. I would still love to host shows, do commercials and act or anything that the industry could offer. I am not going to leave Indonesia, for I owe a huge chunk of my success to my fans and colleagues back there. We’re planning to do this in both countries.”

The good-looking actor and TV host has detailed his inspiring life journey in a book, A Thousand Miles in Broken Slippers.

The book contains his life story from when he was a baby up to this point.

“In this book, people will get to know my bittersweet past back in our small town in Bolinao, Pangasinan. It tells about my struggles, pains, survival, painful memories, happy moments with my childhood friends, tears and of course my journey as an artist in Indonesia. It is a hodgepodge of everything.”

Leo thought of publishing this book not just as a means to promote himself or to boost his career as an artist but mainly to inspire people who may share the same dream and hope or those people who have different dreams but with same passion and determination to pursue in life. Among the most interesting part of the book is how Leo worked himself up from his humble background growing up in Pangasinan.

To hear Leo tell his story borders on the unbelievable.

“Just hearing the word Bolinao could bring thousand folds of happy and painful memories. It’s traumatizing, in a way. It was the sanctuary of my childhood years and the niche of my struggles at the same time. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. At a very young age, I learned to stretch my bones just to earn cold coins to fill up our stomachs. I was introduced to Jollibee not in a conventional way but in a very demeaning and painful way and that’s thru the trash bin. I would eat leftovers from the buses I cleaned in the middle of the night back then just to get thru the night. To be honest, every time I look back, it never fails to bring me to tears and sadness. I was one of those kids who was dressed in shabby clothes, worn-out slippers, exhausted and famished only with great determination and perseverance. I used to collect and sell junk (bottles, metal, broken glass, newspaper, etc.) dressed in a yellowish school uniform, carrying a hanging-by-thread-bag, and flimsy slippers.”

Leo walked to school every day, under the scorching heat of the sun. He was the kind of kid who would never be given any attention had he not excelled at school.

Leo Consul with his mother.
“I have been to Baguio City since I studied there in UP for four years before I moved to Diliman for my final year. That’s where I also landed a job as TV host in ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, which brought me to many places as we shoot for our travelogue show which was called “NC Atin To” which later renamed, “MagTV Na Atin To.”

Of all the places he has been to, his favorite would have to be the Banaue Rice Terraces.

“I consider myself a traveler, not a tourist. Every time I visit a place, I make sure I immerse myself into its culture, values and traditions. I am not a cosmo kinda guy. I enjoy the outskirts/suburbs more than the city. There, I find peace and the perfect opportunity to reflect and enjoy serenity at its finest before I get myself back to the city’s hurly-burly,” Leo said.

At his point, having spent his life in both the Philippines and Indonesia, Leo says he still identifies as Filipino.

“I’m still a Filipino, of course. For me, what makes a certain country appealing am more interesting is not just its beautiful spot and scenery. I think what sets each country part is its people. We, Filipinos, are known for our warm hospitality. We are friendly and loving people and that for me, makes our country great and fun to pay visit to,” Leo shared.

He is excited of many interests. "I love traveling. I make sure I visit different countries each year. I also love cooking. In fact, my first show after Eat Bulaga Indonesia was a cooking show. I also play sports like badminton and tennis. I love singing. I actually released a single in Indonesia while I was hosting Eat Bulaga Indonesia but it didn’t work out. I am also a hip-hop dancer. I was a member of UP Baguio Shadows (dance troupe). My favorite artists would be Gina Pareño as an actress, Joel Torre (actor), Toni Gonzaga (host), Eugene Domingo (comedienne) and Luis Manzano."

“Being in show business wasn’t really a dream when I was a kid, probably because I didn’t have the looks to back it all up. I was an ugly duckling. But I have always wanted to become a news anchor,” he says.

His battle cry is simple. “(I have always believed that) Poverty is not a hindrance to success. It was ABS-CBN Baguio which sparked my interest in show business because they gave me the confidence and made me believe that I have a spot in this industry.”

Kean Cipriano battle with the devil in “Echorsis: Sabunutan Between Good and Evil”

Callalily vocalist and actor Kean Cipriano is in hair pulling battle with devil in in the much-awaited horror-comedy film, “Echorsis: Sabunutan Between Good and Evil.”

The 28-year-old actor, who has tried playing different characters in the past years, now in his most challenging role yet, Kean is excited because we are seeing a different side of him. What made the task exceptionally challenging, is his role which happens to be a gay priest!

“For me, that’s the thing naman with acting—you get to be someone you can’t be in real life. Like I can’t be a priest pero nagawa ko siya because it was my character in the movie,” Kean said.
Kean takes on the role of Father Nick, an exorcist-priest who is secretly gay. Kean’s character is called upon to cast out a gay demon that has possessed the body of a gigolo named Carlo (Alex Medina) after the untimely death of the latter’s gay lover, Kristoff (John Lapus).

Being someone who believes in the forces of good and evil, Kean was extraordinarily interested in the role.

“It was also one of the most challenging things I’ve done in my career and it certainly fulfilled a dream.”

“Everything is possible in love”

Since “Echorsis” tackles the sensitive topic of same-sex relationships and identity crises, Kean has been asked for his views on the LGBT community.

“I love them, especially in this industry. In anything they do, gay people are really intense, they are bright. I have tremendous respect for them. Hindi naman sa gender nagbi-base ang mga bagay sa mundo. Nasa puso ng tao, sa good intentions,” he declares.
Kean even believes that a straight guy can fall for a gay person because everything is possible in love.

“Of course! In love, anything goes. When you’re in love, you go crazy; you don’t know what you are doing. You’ll drown and float at the same time, so you swim,” Kean muses.

Not quite a comedian

Kean has been doing a lot of comedies lately—on TV or the movies. Still, he doesn’t consider himself a comedian. He stresses that the people behind him and the materials he is given are what makes him effective in such roles.

Kean said:
“Hindi naman talaga ako nagpapatawa, ang nagpapatawa ‘yung script, ang nagpapatawa ‘yung mismong material, yung director.”
“I’m just grateful and blessed to be part of a comedy production that has good materials.”

The musician-turned-actor confesses that he has simply fallen in love with acting and just wants to share the beauty of film making with everyone. He loves being an instrument in telling one’s story.

“I’m an actor! Gusto ko lang gumawa ng mga pelikula, whether indie or mainstream. It’s all about storytelling. Kumbaga, it’s a matter of portraying a character and being an instrument of the director to tell the story that he/she wants to relate to the world,” he says.
Kean, who says that he worked with the best people in “Echorsis,” recognizes the box-office potential of the movie and believes that there is a strong chance that the movie will have a cult following.

“Laugh trip ‘pag napanood nila ‘yung pelikula! Sasabihin nila sa mga kaibigan nila, ‘Uy panoorin mo tong pelikulang Echorsis dahil natuwa ako’,” Kean gushes about the movie that was produced by Chris Cahilig of Insight 360, directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Lemuel Lorca, and written by Jerry Gracio. “I’m excited for everyone to see it!”

Completing the ensemble cast of “Echorsis” are Alessandra de Rossi, Chokoleit, Kiray Celis, Mich Liggayu, Ruby Ruiz, Negi Negra, Bekimon, Nico Antonio, Francine Garcia, Odette Khan, and 1:43’s Yuki Sakamoto, Anjo Resurreccion, Gold Aquino, and Yheen Valero.

“Echorsis” is supported by BellaVita Land Corp. and McJim Classic Leather.

The Newest Romantic Pop Balladeer Edward Benosa to stage birthday concert, with Morisette Amon, DJ Chacha and surprise guests

Edward Benosa during the media conference held at the Cerchio Restaurant and Lounge,  Quezon City March 17, 2016

Edward Benosa, The Romantic Pop Balladeer  marks an important milestone when he stages a birthday concert at the Teatrino in Greenhills on April 16, 2016.

The concert will be directed by Frank Lloyd Mamaril, with Marvin Querido as Musical Director. Edward’s special guests will be Morisette Amon and DJ Chacha of MOR 101.9.

This will be another major step forward in his career and his bid to be known as a legitimate, full-fledged pop artist.

Edward will perform a repertoire of mostly love songs, but will also showcase the other side of him when he takes on rock songs and musical genres he doesn’t usually perform.

Director Frank promises “a very intimate show” that will be a culmination and celebration of all the good things that have happened to Edward’s career in the past year.

On his first concert,  Edward is nervous, but he’s ready to step into the spotlight. He knows it’s a big challenge, but he’s taking it on because he knows that if he succeeds in pulling it off.

“Grabe ang pressure. Siyempre may pressure at kabado kasi first. First year ko in showbiz, tapos first concert. Pero pag natawid ko ito, ibang self-confidence ang makukuha ko dito.”

Stage and TV and indie film actor Arnold Cruz Reyes, as Edward’s manager,  says they had been planning the show for some time, and that it was really part of their wish list for the Star Awards for Music 2015 Best New Artist. They spent several months planning and conceptualizing the show and fine-tuning the repertoire so they would have a show that they were sure the audience will enjoy.

 Arnold Cruz Reyes
Director Franc, who also directed the recent concerts of Matteo Guidicelli and Lani Misalucha, talks about their concept for the show.

Teatrino is the perfect venue for concert shows, as "where some of the best artists started and built their careers. So we want to place him in a venue kung saan siya symbolically pwede mag-start in the concert scene. We know he can pull it off.”

“When we talked about the show, we wanted a follow through on Edward’s career. A lot of things have been happening to him for the last year and in that year, it has to have a culmination, which is this show. It’s all about what he can bring to the table in the industry. "

Director Franc believes that Edward is the complete package and thus, the time is ripe for him to have a solo concert.

Director Frank Lloyd Mamaril
“He is the artist na complete package. He has looks, can sing, can act. That’s rare. ‘Yun ang nakikita ko, that’s why we need this concert to happen. The success of Edward is the success of everyone.”

While preparing for the concert, they met people—both old and new supporters of Edward who were very excited about the show and couldn’t wait for it to happen.

Everyone behind the concert is confident all their hard work and preparation will come together on the show date—and they know Edward has what it takes to make it work.

And there are a lot of people who’ve been asking for Edward to have a show. Now is the right time, which explains why the concert is titled “Most Requested”.

“When we thought of the title, o sige, si Edward honestly di pa kilalang-kilala, but when you check social media, and listen to radio stations, ‘Ay siya pala ‘yon’. May gano’ng reaction. Every time I introduce Edward, “Ah siya pala yung nasa parang pelikula na video’ or ‘Siya pala ‘yung kumanta ng ‘Di Man Lang Nagpaalam’. Kaya nasabi namin, ‘Sige na, gawin na natin ito.’”

Edward is also getting a lot of support from his recording company, Star Music, his sponsors (like Dannon Clothing), his supporters and his management.

The concert is brought to you by Dannon Clothing. In participation with Projects Unlimited Phil Inc., Spring Oil, Villa Victoria Inc.,JBC Food Corporation, and Multymedia Printers Inc. Special thanks to Fragrancia De Italia, Novu Hair, Cerchio Grill And Lounge, and Lancer's Hardware. Media partners are Mor 101.9 and Starstudio Magazine.

What Edward Benosa is looking forward to in 2016

Year 2015 is promising balladeer Edward Benosa’s best year, and what he is looking forward to in 2016?

In 2015, Edward—most known for his hit song “Di Man Lang Nagpaalam” which made it to the country’s top music charts and won for him a loyal following—won two awards, one a Best New Artist trophy from the Star Awards for Music and another, from the MOR Awards of radio station 101.9FM. He sees these awards as an affirmation that he is in the right place, and that he should continue pushing forward with his career in 2016. “Sa isang nagsisimula na tulad ko, o kahit sinong nagsisimula, mabigyan ka ng Best New Artist of the year, parang enough reason na ‘yon na ipagpatuloy mo itong ginagawa mo. Susundan na kailangan, ipagpatuloy ang sinimulan,” he says.

Edward’s goal is to sustain the momentum of his achievements in 2016. He wants to get into new things, maybe do a concert, record another album and even try more theater.

He is making the phrase “moving forward” his goal for next year. He is happy that groups like the Philippine Movie Press Club (which is behind the annual Star Awards for Music) and MOR 101.9 have seen his potential and by giving him awards and recognition, are encouraging him to do more with what he has.
“Siguro nakikita ‘yung potential ko to be this person na malaki pa yung pwede ko ma-achieve as a singer, sa craft ko, na-a-appreciate nila na ako ‘yung bago ngayon, as a pop rock balladeer.”
His manager, stage and screen actor Arnold Cruz Reyes, believes that Edward will go pretty far in 2016. When Edward won the awards in 2015, he was surprised but says things aren’t going to stop there. There is much more for Edward to achieve in 2016.

Arnold says it is obvious that Edward, while a newbie singer and occasional actor, is meant to go places and encourages him only to work harder and pay attention to the advice of people who want to see him succeed even more next year. “Consistent naman kasi, na-nominate siya na Best New Artist of the Year. Nu’ng nangyari nga, sabi ko, ‘Uy nakakatuwa, napapansin tayo,” says Arnold, who’s hoping Edward will be able to build on his past achievements to have an even greater year in 2016.

Edward says that one way of ensuring a better year in 2016 is also to stay positive and not to mind the bashers and critics. Like when he won those two awards, there were people who didn’t think he deserved to win and asked: “Sino siya? Hindi namin siya kilala.”

He just wants to be positive going into 2016. Regardless of what people say, he will keep pressing forward. Even if there are critics, he says, he intends to see things constructively and make positivity his motto for next year.

Edward has high hopes for 2016. He is excited about all the new things coming his way, and is eager to get things started.

“Ang daming bonus ni God para sa akin,” he says with a big smile. Edward is grateful for all the things that happened in 2015, and is looking to make an even bigger splash in 2016.

The Mothers’ Day campaign with Regine Velasquez introduces the new landline Telsets - PLDT HOME Regine Series

PLDT HOME with the singer celebrity Regine Velasquez features new landline telsets - Regine series.

The Songbird, Regine Velasquez, may have titles in the field of music, movies and television appended to her name, but talking to her, it is being Mommy to three-year-old Nate that gives her life the utmost inspiration.

It is along this line that PLDT HOME Telsets find a most opportune time to give tribute not only to the artistry of but also to the real values in life she holds dear.

For the voice that never fails to bring us back HOME belongs to a devoted and loving mother to her only son Nate.

The Mothers’ Day campaign introduces the new landline Telsets featuring the Regine Series paired with PLDT’s best calling rates ever. Subscribers with landline get a wonderful treat with the following offers: Add as low as P75/mo: New telsets with corresponding price points and features depending on the unit; Add P75/mo: FREE NDD Calls (PLDT to PLDT Nationwide) + P10 per call to SMART/TNT; and Add P50/mo: Free 15 minute call to US, Canada, China, HongKong, Singapore, Guam and Hawaii, with lowest IDD rate of P2/succeeding minute.

Regine is thankful and happy with her connection with the PLDT HOME team.

“They have been very supportive of everything I do. They allow me to stay connected to my own home and for a working mother like me, you know that keeping in close contact with our family is everything. Especially that I have a growing little boy who never fails to surprise me with his discoveries every single day,” she enthuses.

“When I became pregnant, my sisters and my friends told me my life was going to be different. I realized I had no idea what they were talking about. Not until I had Nate,” she says with a satisfied smile on her face. “Everything about my life changed completely. I have a totally different perspective now, a different outlook in life,” she declares with contagious enthusiasm.

Mrs. Ogie Alcasid considers every single day blessed. Her marriage was immediately gifted by this bundle of joy she and her husband christened Nathaniel James.

“He will turn four in November. How time flies! So far, so good. We are very, very happy with how things are with Nate. A lot of people tell us how behaved and good a kid Nate is. Hindi siya yung katulad ng ibang bata na sobrang malikot kahit nasa labas. He behaves well. He is not a spoiled brat because we are very conscious of that being an only son so far. He listens to us when we caution him. He remembers what we teach him. We couldn’t be prouder,” she shares.

Regine says the one thing that she and her husband Ogie are conscious about when it comes to instilling discipline in their son is that they should always be on the same side.

“We don’t employ the good cop-bad cop scheme in our parenting style. The only rule is that the “aggrieved” parent should be the one to discipline the boy. So kung ako ang nagalit sa kanya over something he did, I will be the one to discipline him.”

Regine confesses that she didn’t think at first that it was in her to be the one to give Nate some spanking.

“But I did it. I think I have spanked him three times already for throwing away things, like my Ipad. We have learned a lot from our Pastor in church how to discipline a child. From ages 0-12, our Pastor told us that we can instill discipline in them and break their developing pride by spanking. Past that age, it will be very hard already. If you spank them when they are older, you won’t be breaking their pride anymore, but their spirit,” Regine said.

“I think our parenting style is working because Nate is a well-behaved boy and is truly a joy to be with even when we travel long distance,” she added.

When asked what she considers the highlights of being a mother so far are, Regine was quick to say, “Everyday is a highlight!” And we believe her.

“Every day there is something new with him. Either he says a new word or discovers something new that he shows us. That is why I am very conscious to be present in his life. I never want to miss out on anything. When I am working, we are in constant communication with his yaya. She sends me pictures of him when I am not with him.”

For this particular interview (behind the scenes of her pictorial for PLDT HOME Telset campaign), Regine said Nate was with his Yaya nearby waiting for him to finish. “He is very patient because we explain to him that we need to work. Sometimes we think our children don’t understand this kind of things. But in my experience, I know that children are smart and they have the capability to understand and comprehend, more than what we want to give them credit for. It shouldn’t stop us adults, from involving them,” she said.

The doting mother says they are training him to speak in fluent Tagalog right now saying that Nate is learning English easily from school and the television shows that he watches everyday. Unlike most Filipino parents who give more weight on teaching their children to speak in English, the Alcasids differ in perspective.

“Mas weird kasi kung hirap siya sa Tagalog bilang nandito naman tayo sa Pilipinas,” Regine said with so much logic.

“The beauty of this stage in my son’s life is that he really converses with us now. Before kasi, nagsasalita siya pero wala pang sense. Now, it’s so nice to talk to him. Nagkukwento na, nakakatuwa!

Regine is very grateful for the kind of workload that she is allowed to have at this point in her life.

“I had a major shift in my priorities and I am so thankful that the people I work for understand this. I still get to work to help my husband but the load is just perfect for me to still be very much present in my son’s life. I am truly blessed,” she says.

So what is her dream for her Nate? Regine answers from the heart.

“I have none. I feel that it is his job to dream for himself, whatever and whoever he wants to be. I feel that I have to allow him the same liberty that my parents gave me when I was growing up. Binigyan ako ng kalayaan ng mga magulang ko na mangarap, kaya ako nandito ngayon. Yun din ang gusto kong ibigay kay Nate,” she says.

Regine believes that the role of the parent is to make sure that their children grow up instilled with discipline and values.

We are here to provide support and the necessary ammunition for them to work on and realize their dreams someday. If anything, I just want my Nate to grow up to be a follower of Jesus Christ. When he fears God, I know that his future is set,” the example of a mother who knows best, ends.

Demi Lovato to Mesmerize Filipino Lovatics in Demi World Tour in Manila

Wilbros Live ushers in 12-time Teen Choice Awards winner, American actress, singer, and songwriter Demi Lovato to Manila to perform a one-night only show on April 30, 2015, 8PM at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Demi Lovato is widely known for her incomparable vocal prowess, the various television shows she starred in, her role as Mitchie in Disney film Camp Rock which elevated her to fame, and as one of the prominent judges of the American X Factor.

In her previous and third tour, Neon Lights, Demi reached out to the fans all the more by imparting with them the trying times of her life. Billboard considers Demi’s sharing of her past struggles the “most interesting aspect” of the show. The singer-songwriter and actress conveyed to the audience her withdrawal from a world tour to enter a treatment facility due to “physical and emotional issues”. Billboard adds, “As much as Lovato has evolved as a performer since that scary period in her life, however, she has admirably made that past the visible bedrock of her artistry”.

For this tour, musician, singer-songwriter, actor, and Demi’s old friend, Nick Jonas, took on the role of creative and musical director.

On May 29, 2014, Demi announced the “Demi World Tour”, her fourth headlining concert tour and her second tour supporting her fourth studio album, Demi. The multi-talented artist says that she will be adding new songs and new covers to the Demi World Tour, and she will be doing things she did not get to do in her previous tour, Neon Lights.

In Demi’s performance at Mohegan Sun Arena, MassLive.com expressed that she “offered up a genuine, artistic, and insightful 90-minute performance before the sold-out house”.

Backed by a full band, a dance team, and two back-up singers, Demi set the stage ablaze with “Really Don’t Care” as her first song.

The multi-faceted singer exhibited versatility in this tour as she shifted “Catch Me” and “Don’t Forget” into acoustic, alt-folk ballads, and deviated from the pop path of “My Love Is Like A Star” and bent more on R&B.

The Guardian narrated that Demi showcased her collection of pop hits in Barclays Center in Brooklyn while magnificently expressing the themes of love, independence, and acceptance.

Demi effortlessly communicated with the audience in between songs. Orlando Sentinel shares that in the star’s show at the Amway Theater, she told her beloved Lovatics, “I want you to lose yourself in the music. Music is the most beautiful thing in the world.”

Her song “Warrior” which voices out the theme of empowerment was a brilliant coalescence of the mood and the message of the song. MassLive.com illustrated that the set’s centrepiece was built around the piano ballad “Warrior” which followed her journey to Kenya. Orlando Sentinel stated that Demi played an intricate piano introduction and assured the audience that it was okay to make mistakes.

Demi Lovato naturally captivates the audience not only with her electrifying voice, but also her genuine character and enthralling charisma.

“For her fans, Demi is a hero, an inspiration, and a lifesaver. Filipino Lovatics had experienced her care and passion for her fans during her first concert in 2013,” affirms a Lovatic Demi Lovato Philippines, the Demi Lovato fan community in the country. “[We] can't wait to see [our] hero perform more songs and hits such as Let It Go, Skyscraper, and Neon Lights in Manila!" he adds.

Experience this and more at Demi Lovato LIVE in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 30, 2015, presented by Wilbros Live co presented by Fox and Star World in cooperation with MYX, Mellow 947, RX 93.1, 99.5 Play FM, Home Radio 97.9 Natural, Barangay LS FM, 106.7 Energy FM, Philstar.com, Inquirer.net, ClickTheCity.com, Pep.PH, Rappler, Manila Concert Scene, Philippine Concerts, Soundcheck Manila, Business World, The Philippine Star, Astroplus, Odyssey, Business World, Chalk, Star Studio, Total Girl, Candy, HDI Admix and MCA Music Inc.
