So before it boils down to this, why don’t you give her the beauty tools she can use when attending parties, events, or just going to the mall? Or, you can give her the sweet fragrant she loves to wear when going out to see her friends.

Lazada also houses different body and facial care products that can help brighten her skin. To further boost her beauty from the inside, you can also give her the right food supplements she need to make her look and feel younger.

Aside from shoes, you can also give your mom additional pairs of jeans, comfortable blouses, and elegant dresses to add more collection to her wardrobe. You don’t have to worry because all of Lazada’s items will look perfect for women of different sizes.

The Domestic Divas

If your mom loves to cook, there’s a higher chance for her to spend more time in her kitchen. With this, there’s no better gift than kitchen appliances like slow juicers, microwave ovens, toasters, and induction cookers.

For your mom to achieve the quality of rest she needs after a long day of doing household chores, it will be best for you to invest on different home appliances that will do the job for her. This includes washing machines, water dispensers, and air humidifiers. Or, you can help her achieve the level of comfort she needs by adding more appliances to her room like electric fans, television sets, or air conditioners.

The Happy Homemakers

Your home will never be complete without the basic homemaking needs such as furniture, kitchen utensils, beddings, curtains, and outdoor accessories. This is why Lazada has classified your mother’s home and living obsessions—to add spice to your home and bring light to every corner.

Aloha Hawaii! 10 Years of Make Your Own Havaianas in more than 10 Locations Nationwide!

As summer goes full blown, we find ourselves day-dreaming about white beaches and cobalt blue ocean, with waves crashing down the shore and palm trees swaying with the wind. There is one spot on Earth (aside from the islands of the Philippines) that makes the vibe of summer an everyday reality. It is a paradise in the middle of the Pacific – aloha Hawaii!

Thanks to the world’s leading flip-flop brand Havaianas, we can experience Hawaii right smack in the center of Makati as Make Your Own Havaianas turns 10!

Why Hawaii, you ask? Havaianas, which means “Hawaiians” in Portuguese, was born out of the tropical islands’ hang loose culture. Hawaiians live most of their lives outdoors, enjoying the many gifts of Mother Nature, and thus cannot live without their so-called rubbah slippahs – or in our case, flip-flops! Hawaii’s breezy way of life and exuberant colors have been inspiring every Havaianas style since 1962.

This year, Havaianas kicked off the 10th year of MYOH with an exclusive vintage Hawaiian luau to pay homage to its inspiration. On May 5, 2015, stars as bright as those of Hawaii’s night sky graced the event to celebrate a decade of flip-flops customization.

They got first picks from this year’s limited edition pins such as hibiscus, sea grubs, and ukulele, which look really good with the commemorative vintage Hawaiian pair!

“It was in 2006 when this concept was introduced to the local market. And while Make Your Own Havaianas is being experienced in different countries around the globe, it is only in the Philippines that it has grown so big that we needed to do it nationwide --- simultaneously to accommodate the Havaianaticos in the country,” says Anne Gonzalez, Managing Director of Havaianas Philippines. She added, “Havaianas occupies a special place in the hearts (and feet) of our Filipino customers --- hence, we are bringing this special personalization treat to them.”

Since then, Make Your Own Havaianas became a much-awaited annual tradition that the brand’s customers look forward to and line up for every year. But this time around, more Filipinos will be able to experience this exciting and engaging family affair as we hold MYOH in Glorietta Activity Center and key cities around the country, all at the same time from May 7 to 10! For the first time in a decade, MYOH will be open in select All Flip-Flops branches and pop-ups nationwide.

Check out the following stores in Metro Manila: AFF Bonifacio High Street, AFF SM Manila, AFF SM Megamall, AFF SM Mall of Asia, AFF TriNoma. In the provinces you can visit: AFF Abreeza Davao, AFF SM Bacolod, AFF SM Bacoor, AFF SM Cagayan de Oro, AFF SM Iloilo, AFF SM Lipa, AFF SM Pampanga, AFF SM Tarlac, and our MYOH pop-up stores in Robinson's Ilocos Norte and SM City Cebu (from May 7 to 17).

The Department of Education (DepEd) together with the provincial host Davao del Norte (DavNor) officially welcomed yesterday more than 12,000 delegates including student athletes, coaches and officials representing different regions all over the country to the opening of the country’s most-awaited sporting event - Palarong Pambansa 2015.

The surrounding setting of festivity was buzzing at the Davao del Norte Sports & Tourism Complex (DNSTC) as Palaro’s opening ceremonies started with the parade of friendship and camaraderie, followed by an exhibition of the Philippine Army paratroopers and the singing of the national anthem by The Voice Philippines Season 1 finalist, Thor Dulay.

Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas graced the national event in behalf of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
DepEd Secretary Br. Armin Luistro, Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas,  and DavNor Governor Rodolfo P. Del Rosario

"Ang tagumpay at ang kadakilaan ng isang atleta ay wala doon sa event mismo pero nasa araw araw na psgsasakripisyo, pagpupursige, para maabot nila ang excellence na nasa angking talento nila," Roxas said.

In an interview, Roxas shared that sucess is not measured by merely winning the games.

Traditions, such as the turn-over and the hoisting of the Palarong Pambansa banner were observed elatedly.
DavNor Governor Rodolfo P. Del Rosario

“The dream culminates today as we open the Palarong Pambansa 2015. It is therefore an honor for us to prepare the stakes for our young athletes to make the dreams come true. In all our preparations, we have put our young athletes the centre of the Palarong Pambansa 2015. They are the reason for the existence of the National Games, thus we have spared no effort in expense to ensure their safety and convenience, so they will have the best experience that they can get here in DavNor,”  DavNor Governor Rodolfo P. Del Rosario said during his welcoming speech.

DepEd Secretary Br. Armin Luistro
The program was cut short when DepEd Secretary Br. Armin Luistro yelled “Class Dismissed!” as rain started to pour on the sports complex.

Nevertheless, Palaro was declared opened and the youth of DavNor continued to showcase their many talents as the sky cleared up.

The different sports competitions will be held at several locations across the city between May 3 to 9. Events include Archery, Arnis, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Chess, Football, Gymnastics, Sepak Takraw, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Billiards, Futsal, Wushu, Wrestling, Special Events and Beach Volleyball.
