Why Hawaii, you ask? Havaianas, which means “Hawaiians” in Portuguese, was born out of the tropical islands’ hang loose culture. They got first picks from this year’s limited edition pins such as hibiscus, sea grubs, and ukulele, which look really good with the commemorative vintage Hawaiian pair!
“It was in 2006 when this concept was introduced to the local market. And while Make Your Own Havaianas is being experienced in different countries around the globe, it is only in the Philippines that it has grown so big that we needed to do it nationwide --- simultaneously to accommodate the Havaianaticos in the country,” says Anne Gonzalez, Managing Director of Havaianas Philippines. She added, “Havaianas occupies a special place in the hearts (and feet) of our Filipino customers --- hence, we are bringing this special personalization treat to them.”
Since then, Make Your Own Havaianas became a much-awaited annual tradition that the brand’s customers look forward to and line up for every year. But this time around, more Filipinos will be able to experience this exciting and engaging family affair as we hold MYOH in Glorietta Activity Center and key cities around the country, all at the same time from May 7 to 10! For the first time in a decade, MYOH will be open in select All Flip-Flops branches and pop-ups nationwide.
