Experience easier home cooking with Beko Induction Hob’s IndyFlex+TM Technology

Cooking multiple dishes like a pro is not as hard as you think!

Even if you are a good cook, preparing a big feast for your loved ones has always been a challenge. Every so often, your cooking skills are not enough to get all your favorite home cooked dishes done easily; more so, if the appliances you have in your kitchen has limited capabilities. Fortunately, cooking multiple dishes all at once like a pro is now made easier as long as you have the right cooking appliance.

Beko, one of the largest home appliance brands in Europe, brings a line-up of cookers that will enable any homemaker to cook multiple dishes like a pro. And among the new breed of cooking appliance, the induction hob is arguably, the most popular among young moms.

According to Dyeun Zapanta, Sales and Marketing Head of Beko Philippines, this type of cooker is the best choice for cooking enthusiasts since it is quicker and cheaper to use.

One key factor that makes induction hobs different is the use of copper coil magnets. Electricity passes through these coils to create electromagnetic energy to generate heat. With this technology, the induction hob is capable of heating only the contents of your pan instead of warming the entire cooking surface. Thus, cooking your dish is made faster, manageable, and energy efficient.

Beko also makes induction hobs even more useful, especially when cooking many dishes. With its latest IndyFlex+™ technology, Beko Induction Hobs feature an expanded cooking surface that allows users to cook with any size and number of pans they like.

Unlike any other cookers, the Beko hobs utilize eight independent coils that are managed through digital buttons, which are used to split the cooking area into separate cooking zones. You can also recombine and manage each of these independent cooking zones to suit the size of the pot you are using.

With this breakthrough technology, you can now enjoy cooking for up to three times more dishes all at the same time, as compared to regular hobs and gas cookers.

Zapanta further said, “Today’s ideal cookers combine all the necessary features that the customers need. Beko induction hobs, as well as our other cooker offerings, are equipped with all the latest innovations and functions to make every cooking time hassle-free and a truly enjoyable experience.”

Strengthening its local presence in the country, Beko Philippines continues to penetrate the Filipino market. Since 2015, the company already doubled its distribution in SM Appliance Center, as well as tripled its sales through an enhanced and domineering product line that continuously meets the demands of the consumers.

Midea Gas Ranges: Surprisingly withstanding the test of Filipino-style cooking

Everytime traditional holidays approaching on the calendar, we start planning. Inviting friends, involve the kids, and create your own lasting memories. Whenever Filipinos are preparing for a big celebration, whether it is for birthdays, fiestas or family reunions, the kitchen sure gets so busy with all the cooking that needs to be done. All hands are on deck as all available chopping boards are brought out and batches of ingredients go through knives before getting them in the pots. While some ingredients are boiled or steamed before they are combined with the other ingredients to complete the dish, there are some that gets the heat treatment by frying, grilling, or roasting. This is how Filipinos do their feasts as one big community or one big family, helping each other, and then finally bonding over the dishes that they labored for.

A lot of kitchen appliances get battered every time there is a big feast coming up, especially the gas stoves and ranges, because they catch all the mess from pots dripping with sauces that usually get caked on the surfaces. This could rust the body or some other parts of the stove and eventually affect its performance and eventually cause it to become unusable.

The world’s leading manufacturer of consumer appliances, Midea understands the nature of how serious Filipinos are when it comes to cooking meals for their feasts. The varied culinary influences the country got from the Chinese, Malay, Spanish and other contemporary cuisines has kept the Filipinos’ passion for cooking burning bright, as some age-old traditions are being passed down, rediscovered, and reinvented by the younger generation.

Younger families who trace their roots from far-flung provinces are bringing in their family’s tradition to their very own homes, where there might be not enough open space for a fire pit for roasting and grilling, or those big and heavy gas ranges that could fire up a big wok and take in enough volume of food enough for a good portion of the family clan or barangay. Luckily, these young generations of families could still continue to enjoy and pass on further their family’s great recipes with Midea’s newest lineup of gas ranges that are specially designed to surprisingly withstand the test of Filipino cooking.

They have three models, two of which has an oven volume of 58L, while the other has a bigger one with 65L, each of which could accommodate 4 pans and pots cooking simultaneously. These sizes are more than enough to take in big batches of liempo or fish to grill, or a big slab of pork belly, rolled into a porchetta stuffed with tanglad and other ingredients that makes a lechon flavorful.

The 65L model has its own thermostat, which makes it easier for any home chef to control the temperature in the oven and serve only the best home-cooked Pinoy favorites. It could even function as a rotisserie, so that it could cook any kind of meat evenly and perfectly. And with its tempered glass lid, monitoring your culinary specialty with the gas range door closed is a breeze. While all of the models are using SBT burners to make every cooking experience safe, the 65L model even has a flame failure device to keep gas from building up within the appliance. These features do not only assure the safety of everyone and getting every family member involved and to bond in the kitchen, they also enable Midea’s gas ranges to be handed down to the next generation.

Cooking in large volumes and very frequently could lead to a burnout, with gas tanks running out of fumes to keep you going. One of the 58L models has a hot plate where it uses electricity to heat up the pans and allows you to cook. This could be helpful in keeping the whole kitchen running, even if it is just one stove cooking and everyone is taking a quick break to wait for an LPG refill or replenishment. After everything is done and everyone in the family, friends, or guests are satisfied with the feast, cleaning up the Midea’s gas ranges is absolutely friendly because its body is made out of tough stainless steel.

Midea is also confident in giving their customers a 2-year warranty on parts and labor along with a 5-year warranty on burners. This could only mean that Midea’s lineup of gas ranges are there to stay in the kitchen for a very long time, dealing with more hard core cooking, Filipino-style for the years to come. With that much time, another younger generation of family members will be ready to take on the family tradition and hopefully pass on the cooking torch as well.

Forget about fad diets and easy fixes, Hurom encourages you to achieve your best health by adapting a healthy lifestyle along with healthy juicing.

It’s a good idea to start drinking delicious, healthy juices to complement your exercise programs whether you’re a just a beginner, into more advanced training, or even if your form of exercise is just a walk around the subdivision.

Hurom juices are different because not only are they fresh and delicious but full of live digestive enzymes that help break down food for easier digestion. This is pure juice extract with no additives and preservatives, unlike commercial juices that need it to extend shelf life. Whether your goal is weight loss, detox, or just always having the freshest juices at your disposal, Hurom’s versatility will help you with your goal.

Hurom Slow Juicers are the product of 40 years or research and development. The difference is in the squeeze. Normal juicers with high-speed blades shred fruits and vegetables, which damage the natural enzymes of the plant, but Hurom has the patented slow juice technology that presses the juice and keeps the taste and nutrition as close to its most natural state. You can even see the difference in the color. Hurom juices retain their natural color, and a microscopic inspection of the juice shows that the fruits have kept their cellular structure. Hurom Slow Juicers are made of materials like ultem, tritan, and stainless steel, some of which are used to build spaceships. They also come with a long lasting AC motor.

Hurom juicers produce a higher yield of juice. They want you to get every last squeeze of healthy, unprocessed juice that you can consume immediately or keep for 72 hours.

Versatility is also something Hurom has taken a lot into consideration. It’s easy to juice luscious fruits, but even crisp greens like kale and spinach are juiced to their maximum with a Hurom Slow Juicer. They also make superior nut milks such as almond, which needs high performing juicing. Asians tend have a higher degree of lactose intolerance in their systems, which makes this a really handy tool for those who need milk substitutes, or indeed just because nut milks in themselves just taste delicious.

With a Hurom juicer, you can confidently pick and choose from a wide range of ingredients. You can also make smoothies, ice-cream and sorbets, using the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

Safety in juicing is something Hurom has gone to great lengths to ensure. Hurom juicers are 100% BPA free and come without any blades or sharp parts, making it safe even for children to use. Over a million customers in more than 70 countries make juice with a Hurom juicer, making Hurom the global leader. Midea’s new wave of cooking redefines culinary adventures

Midea, known as one of the world’s largest producer of consumer appliances, its latest kitchen appliance line answers food preparation woes with all-new kitchen range.

Charles Zhang - Deputy General Manager Phillip Trapaga - General Manager Guest Chef Rob Pengson Joeben Gamatero II - Marketing Director and Jerry Zhao

A New Wave of Cooking aims to solve the food-preparation woes of Filipino households, to change the way you do things around the kitchen.

With the lifestyles of modern homemakers changing at a fast pace, lengthy and tedious meal preparations have become quite a challenge for champions of the household. In the kitchen, it is no longer just about how food is prepared—more importantly, it is about how fast and easy the task can be done.
Phillip Trapaga General Manager of Concepcion Midea Inc Philippines speaks at the launch of their New Wave of Cooking kichen appliance line.

During the product launch event, Phillip Trapaga, General Manager of Midea Philippines shared that
“while meal preparation appears to be such a mundane part of our daily tasks, it actually has considerable weight in our way of life because it affects how we manage our time and, more importantly, our health and well being.”

According to Trapaga, there are three essential factors that are considered when cooking: meal preparation, nutritional value, and cost. “Midea’s new kitchen range presents solutions for each of these,” he added.

A special guest during the event, Celebrity Chef Rob Pengson shared some insights about his ideal kitchen. He said, “A handy kitchen is composed of appliances that provide the best-tasting meals without compromising energy efficiency and affordability.”

Guest Chef Rob Pengson performs a live kitchen demonstration using Midea's latest line of kitchen appliances titled A New Wave of Cooking which aims.

“Most of the time, nutrition and affordability are sacrificed in favor of easier food preparation. But cooking is really more of an art. Once you’ve found the right tools, you can pretty much create whatever masterpiece you want without sacrificing quality. It is all about investing in the right kitchen partners,” he said.

Included in Midea’s newest kitchen line are the microwave oven, induction cooker, multi-cooker, rice cooker, and kettles.

Microwave meals for us low as P1

Leading Midea’s kitchen range is its all-new microwave ovens, which let people cook basic meals for as low as P1. These appliances save on electrical consumption, as it is twice as fast as a regular stove—making it friendlier to electricity bills.

“People often have misconceptions about microwave ovens—claiming that they blow-up electricity bills. But it is all about the quality and efficiency of your appliances,” Chef Rob Pengson said.

“Actually, you can cook using the microwave. In fact, microwaves can prepare meals that are just as nutritious (or even more) as the ones we prepare the traditional way,” he attested.

Midea’s microwave ovens are perfect for quick and easy-to-cook recipes that do not compromise nutritional value. Trapaga described, “Using our microwaves, you can get 10 percent less fat on your meals compared to frying. At the same time, they can prepare basic meals in as quick as 90 seconds.”

Midea microwaves also come with sleek silver-mirror finishes that can smarten the aesthetics of any kitchen.

Faster cooking time, lesser cost

The Midea induction cooker prepares food twice as fast compared to regular electrical stoves. In fact, it is equipped with double-coil technology that saves 37 percent on electrical consumption.

“With rising energy prices, electrical efficiency is a top priority of our kitchen line,” explained Trapaga.

Efficient brewing

Coffee and tea are breakfast staples for the Filipino. For this, Midea has a line of kettles, which save-up to 33 percent on power consumption, while heating twice as fast as regular kettles.

The smart way to cook rice

Another innovative product from the brand is its rice cooker. This product is equipped with smart sensors that automatically measure the ideal cooking time you need to get the perfect rice, no matter how much water you put.

“As you know, Filipinos have an unbreakable affinity with rice. What makes our rice cooker special is that it makes the grains bigger—making your rice more delicious,” Trapaga remarked.

Multiple-modes for cooking flexibility

One of Midea’s most promising appliances is the multi-cooker, which has 19 functions, 12 cooking modes, and 7 auxiliary functions that give modern homemakers the flexibility they need to prepare meals.

“As the manager of a household, you should never compromise when it comes to cooking. Whether it be your schedule, health, or budget, you can get the best by having the right kitchen appliances to help you,” Trapaga finished.
