Paying attention to inner health, being healthy inside and out

Health comes only from within. The most important is being healthy inside and out. Paying attention to inner health is the best way to be healthy and fit.

A great way to feel healthy is to stay in tune with your body and its needs. Our health is greatly determined by what happens inside our bodies. When our internal organs function at their optimum and our metabolic processes are running smoothly, this can be considered as having sound inner health. And when we have sound inner health, it will definitely manifest itself externally as a general appearance and feeling of wellness.

Taking care of one's inner health may seem a challenge considering the many unhealthy lifestyle choices one is offered every day. But by taking charge of what you eat, paying attention to good nutrition that includes the right amount of fiber, and not to mention being active and minimizing stress, you definitely get to live healthier and live more!

Inner health is influenced by a variety of factors like diet, physical activity and lifestyle choices in general. The food we eat, for instance, influences the level of sugar and cholesterol in our blood which, when it reaches an excessive level, may make us susceptible to diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular ailments.

Fortunately, Mother Nature has given us a treasure trove of wonders to help the body expel undesirable elements from its system. One of them is fiber, which is already part of our diet when we eat fruits, vegetables, and oats, among others. But the modern diet, which is high in carbohydrates and protein, is often lacking in fiber content. According to the US-based National Fiber Council (NFC), adults usually just consume half of the 32 grams of fiber that is recommended each day.

Hence, supplementation may be needed to fill the gap. Clinical studies have revealed that psyllium, from the shrub-like herb Plantago ovata, has one of the highest contents of fiber when compared to other sources. Psyllium is a good source of both soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. “Both are needed for a strong bill of health,” says the US-based National Fiber Council. In the Philippines, the C-Lium Fibre brand, is derived from 100 percent psyllium fiber from the plant’s husk.

The most apparent benefit of Psyllium is its promotion of gastrointestinal health. It works by increasing volume and water content of the stool, encouraging regularity. Fiber also binds with toxins, cholesterol and fat, expelling them out from the system. This means that a person who takes fiber everyday may have reduced risks for diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

In a study published in the Current Topics of Nutraceutical Research (2009; Vol 7, No.2), reviewers concluded that “strong scientific evidence exists that regular consumption of Psyllium provides modest reductions in blood levels of LDL cholesterol as well as total cholesterol.”

Aside from this, Psyllium also helps promote a balanced intestinal flora, which helps in the promotion of intestinal health. "Fiber," says Dr. Alejandro Junger, author of Clean: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself (2009) "feeds good bacteria” by being the latter's fuel source.

With its multitude of health benefits, fiber is indeed vital to a person's diet. To introduce Psyllium fiber into your system, simply mix one sachet or 1 tablespoon of C-Lium Fibre in its husk form with half a glass of water or your favorite beverage. Take another glass of water immediately after. If in capsule form, take five C-Lium Fibre capsules twice a day. Drink a full glass of water after taking the capsules. It is recommended to take C-Lium Fibre 30 minutes before meals. Regular daily intake is also recommended.

Our overall health is determined by what happens inside our bodies. Adequate intake of fiber, for instance, helps prevent diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Fortunately, Mother Nature has given us psyllium, which has one of the highest contents of fiber. In the Philippines, C-Lium is made from 100% psyllium fiber, which makes it a good option in fiber supplementation.

Exercise is one of the key components of sound health, along with diet and supplementation. By complementing physical activity with fiber intake, such as C-Lium, which is derived from 100 percent psyllium fiber, one feels lighter and more energized, hence pushing the body to do more.

Eating fruits and vegetables is a sure-fire way of introducing the healthy goodness of fiber in our system. The modern diet, however, places importance on carbohydrates and protein, which may result to fiber deficiency. Consumption of C-Lium Fibre in its husk form, an all-natural fiber supplement derived from the Psyllium plant’s husk, helps fill the gap, promoting inner health in the process.

C-Lium Fibre is a good source of soluble and insoluble fiber and is made from 100% natural psyllium plant. Available in capsules and husk powder, each dose is natural and devoid of preservatives, artificial colors and flavors, sweeteners, or other chemicals. Psyllium fiber helps reduce the risk of heart disease especially when incorporated with a diet that is low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and coupled with exercise.

C-Lium Fibre is available in supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.

Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III and INC Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. The Philippine Arena, 50-hectare complex called Ciudad de Victoria or City of Victory, in Bocaue, Bulacan, a domed indoor arena, is the centerpiece of the centennial projects of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) for its grand celebration on July 27.

It features a bowl-formed structure inspired through the narra, the Philippine national tree, based on the world-acclaimed architectural firm Populous, its concept designer. Populous also designed the large 23,000-chair O2 Arena in London, in addition to various huge sports arenas and stadiums on earth.

The Philippine Arena is much more than two times how big The O2 in London as well as from the large indoor arenas in the US, that was why it had been a large challenge to create and make. The Philippine Arena “pushed the limitations of arena design” and it is now considered the world’s biggest indoor arena, Populous stated in the website.

Aside from the Arena, which can seat a maximum of 55,000 people, two other massive structures are being completed inside the 50-hectare Ciudad de Victoria. These are the 20,000-seater Philippine Sports Stadium and the two-hectare Philippine Sports Center.

According to INC executive minister Eduardo V. Manalo, arena will not only hold major church gatherings, this would be also open to be used by Filipinos of other faiths as well as by worldwide groups or towns for worldwide events and occasions. It will also operate as a multiuse sports and concert venue, capable of holding a range of events from boxing and basketball to live music performances.

Throughout its groundbreaking in August 2011,  Manolo stated the world along with other massive architectural marvels to become built-in the town of Victory have been made to bring glory to God and recognition towards the country.

He also stated the world had recently been imagined even throughout time of his father, the late INC executive minister EraƱo G. Manalo, due to the requirement for large venues for events cellular the quickly growing chapel membership.

HIRED – the first ever recruitment party!

jobsDB with opportunities and possibilities with many great things people can explore!

Online job portal, jobsDB Philippines, pioneers another innovation in the recruitment industry with HIRED – the jobsDB Recruitment Party on August 01, 2014 at the Elbow Room in Metrowalk, Ortigas.

HIRED, the jobsDB Recruitment Party takes the recruitment process to a whole new level. HIRED aims to provide job seekers with job opportunities in the BPO/Call center industry; one of the country’s fastest growing and highest-paying employment sectors.

The BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry has provided thousands of jobs to millions of Filipino job seekers since it first came to the Philippines in 1999. The industry is estimated to hit revenues of up to $25 billion by 2016, and may soon account for approximately 10 percent of the nation's gross domestic product.

The Philippines has long been considered as the location of choice of international companies looking to establish their offshore call center facilities due to its less expensive operational and labor costs, highly skilled workforce, proficiency in American-style English and idioms, and a constant stream of college-educated graduates entering the workforce.

Oliver C. Ramos, Marketing Manager of jobsDB Philippines, adds that HIRED is the first of its kind in Philippines.

“Our goal is to take the recruitment process in the country to a whole new level and HIRED is but the first of many other events we have in mind to do just that. In the past, job seekers would have to wait until after they receive their first salary to celebrate being hired, now, we want them to celebrate right away!”

Oliver further clarifies that HIRED is not a regular job fair because only those who pass the pre-screening procedure will be invited for an interview with a specific BPO client.

“Unlike regular job fairs, HIRED brings the applicant one-step closer to an actual job offer. The pre-screening process ensures that once they get to the venue, they will be endorsed to a BPO client that matches their skills and job experience. If they do well, they can actually leave with an employment contract in tow.”

“There are so many opportunities waiting for job seekers in the BPO industry. It’s one of the best industries to work with because of the competitive salary, above-industry perks and benefits, and speedy career promotions. With all the trainings and seminars call center companies provide to their employees, their personal and professional development is already guaranteed.”

Top BPO companies such as Hinduja Global Solutions, Teleperformance, and VXI have agreed to partner with jobsDB Philippines for the event.

The grand party to be hosted by former PBB Celebrity Edition housemate and Monster Radio RX 93.1 DJ Rico Robles as he  bringing his own brand of party to the jobsDB Philippines.
