Singer-composer Seth Dungca to release heartwarming single “Halika” on April 3

During times of uncertainty such as now, people seek assurance and comfort. But try as we might, the pervading sense of hopelessness makes peace of mind seem elusive for most of us. Just imagine then what people with mental health issues are grappling with.



Twenty-four-year-old Seth Dungca understands this challenge as he pursues his advocacy on mental health in the different roles he plays—as singer-composer, special education teacher, model and actor. 

As a singer-composer, for instance, Seth strives to uplift people’s spirits through the sweet melody—and calming lyrics—of his songs. His debut single, ‘Halika’ expresses his yearning to inspire and to cheer: “Sa mundong puno ng takot, na dilim ang bumabalot, hahanapin natin ang liwanag sa piling ng isa’t isa . . .” 

The song is consistent with what Seth says his “core” is—emotions. “I write about what I feel; I will never invalidate emotions. I want people to understand that mental health is real; you can’t keep going with the whole ‘huwag-mo-na-lang-isipin-iyan mentality’ because if you keep something in without processing it, it will only get heavier and heavier,” he intones.



Seth’s various roles in life have shaped him into the mental health advocate that he is now. As a special education teacher, he lives his truth every day—making sure that his students know that their emotions are valid. 

“Being a special education teacher lets me write about emotions without the inclination to invalidate them. When dealing with students who are overwhelmed by their emotions, I stay with them until they feel better, instead of telling them not to cry,” he relates. 

Seth adds that being an actor helps as this allows him to feel and convey myriad emotions as he writes and composes his songs. Singing, for him, is “an outpouring of emotion and information—basically acting and teaching your message.” 

In fact, Seth discloses that he wrote “Halika” when he was in a bad place—and wanted to flee. “The song talks about me trying to find solace by going into some dream world where I could cry myself to sleep and wake up feeling a little better after my sadness.” 

Seth hopes that people who hear “Halika” will also allow themselves to feel their emotions—to escape their everyday routines and go where their hearts may lead them. 

Asked about his next goals, Seth shares his dreams and thanks his mentor—award-winning director, producer, and Public Relations expert, Chris Cahilig. “I am in the process of writing more songs because I am blessed with a supportive mentor like Sir Chris. Call me crazy, but I plan on pursuing my childhood dream of having an album.” 



And Seth says he will continue to write about validating emotions until it becomes the norm. “I imagine a day when our response to someone saying ‘Parang hindi ko na talaga kaya’ is no longer ‘Hindi, kakayanin mo iyan, go lang nang go,’ but ‘Pero habang hindi mo pa kaya, nandito lang ako, nakikinig sa tabi mo.’ ”  

Seth earnestly hopes that listening to his debut single will help hearts heal, especially in these times of anxiety and fear.

Sitti Sets You On Fire With Electro Sitti

After two years, Sitti is finally ready to release her album Electro Sitti. 

“I put my heart and soul into it. I wrote four songs in Electro Sitti. I burnt the midnight oil just to give my fans quality songs they deserve to listen to. I hope the fans like all the songs and they begin their day listening to my new album.”

Sitti is still ecstatic about her collaboration with former Westlife front man Shane Filan who recently visited the country to promote his album Love Always. “Prior to our collaboration, I’ve been a fan of Westlife. I’m sure he has no idea who I am. (Laughs) It’s thanks to our recording label MCA Music that made the collaboration happen. At first, I couldn’t believe it. And even when I was recording my parts, it still didn’t feel real. When they sent me the rough mix it slowly started to sink in - I was doing a collaboration with an international pop star! And not only that, the lead singer of the boyband I used to adore back in the day! It was only when I met Shane on February 8, sang the song with him in person, actually shook his hands and looked into his eyes, that it all truly began to feel realer than real.”

She adds, “This collaboration really came as a surprise, I feel like my whole year has been made already but I know the best is yet to come. Globe unveils game-changing home broadband plans

Customers can now customize broadband plans based on their preferred digital lifestyle at home

Globe Telecom is changing the game of broadband internet with the launch of its new home broadband plans which can now be customized and bundled with more digital entertainment content from its newest partners Netflix and popular singing app Smule. The broadband plans can also be availed with devices such as smart LED TVs, audio devices and even game consoles for a complete home entertainment experience.


Globe recently revealed its collaboration with global content providers such as Disney, Netflix, Turner, Sports Illustrated, Astro, and Smule to offer a wider range of digital entertainment content offerings alongside its existing partnerships such as HOOQ, Spotify and NBA. Discover Weekly Reaches Nearly 5 Billion Tracks Streamed Since Launch Over 40 million users have tuned in to listen to Discover Weekly on Spotify

Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming service, shares that over 40 million users love Discover Weekly, with nearly 5 billion tracks streamed since it launched in June 2015 

Updated every Monday morning, Discover Weekly gives users the best-ever music recommendations, tailored specifically to what users listen to, and delivered as a weekly mixtape of awesome, completely personalized music. Now everyone has a reason to look forward to Mondays! 

Here’s a look at how Spotify users are keeping their listening fresh with Discover Weekly: 
  • More than half of all Discover Weekly listeners come back the following week. 
  • More than half of all Discover Weekly listeners stream at least 10 tracks from each week. 
  • More than half of Discover Weekly listeners go on to save at least one song to their own playlist. 
  • Discover Weekly is most popular among 25-34 age group, closely followed by the 55+ age group. 
  • The top three genres streamed from Discover Weekly since its launch are (1) pop, (2) indietronica, and (3) indie pop.

Krissy releases her new single “Distance” off her debut album “Songs About You”


Acoustic artist and YouTube sensation Krissy, releases her new single “Distance” off her debut album “Songs About You.”

“Distance,” composed by Krissy herself, is similar to her previous heartbreak songs like “We Can’t Be” and “Piece of You”. This heart-rending song where she bares her soul will make listeners feel what she went through in her break up. “This song is a lot different from most of my songs and really means a lot to me,” Krissy said. 

She wrote the song 2 years ago.
“I had just gotten out of a really bad break up. It was the very first time I had ever been in love like that. It was the kind of break up that came out of nowhere. It was bad for me because I had given a lot to be with him. As with all break ups, you try and do what you can to forget how much you are hurting. I was constantly surrounded by friends which helped a lot. But at times, when you are alone, it helps reflect on the whole relationship,” Krissy said.
Her friend’s grand piano became a part of the writing process
“I was at my friend’s place one day and he had this really big beautiful grand piano in his living room and I just started playing. I usually write my songs on guitar and this had been one of my first few songs on the piano. I let out everything I was feeling and I finally finished writing it in about an hour or so,” Krissy added.
Its music video recently premiered on MYX which featured her playing the piano. The video will also be seen soon on her VEVO channel KrissyVEVO.

“Songs About You” can now be streamed via Spinnr, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and Guvera and is available through digital downloads via Spinnr and iTunes. The album is also out in CDs at Astroplus and Astrovision outlets.

“To Be Loved” produced by Bob Rock was recorded in Vancouver and Los Angeles and includes a mix of standards as well as four original songs all co-written by Bublé. “After All” one of the four originals was co-written and performed by fellow Canadian Bryan Adams. The new album also includes hits previously recorded by some of Buble’s musical heroes including the Bee Gees hit “To Love Somebody”, Dean Martin’s “Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You”), the Jackson 5 early ‘70’s smash “Who’s Loving You”, Jackie Wilson’s “To Be Loved” and the Elvis Presley classic “Have I Told You Lately”. Bublé is joined by actress Reese Witherspoon on the classic Frank and Nancy Sinatra duet “Something Stupid”. 

“My new record is about love, happiness, fun and yummy things. Getting to work with my friend and longtime collaborator Bob Rock (“Call Me Irresponsible”, “Crazy Love” and “Christmas”) who produced the entire album was very exciting. We’re a good team. I love the songs we selected this time out. It was also terrific working once again with my songwriting partners” commented Bublé. 

To commemorate Michael’s upcoming 2015 Tour in Asia, a deluxe Asian Tour Edition of To Be Loved has been released. Additional songs include, ‘Softly As I Leave You’, ‘Mack The Knife’, ‘These Foolish Things (Remind Me Of You)’ and more that has never been released in Asia.
