China’s hot messaging app WeChat recently launched its newest version in the Philippines, which includes three games, more animated stickers and an expanded group chat feature. WeChat 5.1 can now accommodate up to 100 users in its group chat service from the previous limit of 40.

7107 International Music Festival will be rocking the Philippines this February 22-23, 2014.

7107, which represents the number of islands in the Philippines is organized by a team spearheaded by individuals who are well-versed in the entertainment, events and music industries.

7107 International Music Festival is a two-day outdoor music festival happening at the Global Gateway Logistics City in Clark, Pampanga.

According to Mr. Jeff Pradhan, GGLC Vice President for Sales & Marketing, the event will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase Clark and Central Luzon as an alternative venue for major events and activities outside Manila. He also said that GGLC with CDC is in support to “putting the best show in a site that is accessible”, noting that Clark has a land area that could accommodate events of this magnitude. 

The said music festival is expected to draw a crowd of 20,000 to 30,000 coming from the region and different parts of the country.

The organizer, 7107 posted in their official Facebook page the line-up of the artists performing in the two-day music festival which includes: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Empire of the Sun, The Asteriods Galaxy Tour, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, and local bands like Up Dharma Down, Radio Active Sago Project, among others. According to Mike Pio Roda, Co-Founder of 7107, the crowd should expect “…something they haven’t seen in the Philippines”. He added that they are inviting around 20 international acts to perform in the festival. The event organized by 7107 in coordination with the Clark Development Corporation will take place at the Global Gateway Logistics City in Clark.

It’s for a good cause. Part of the proceeds of the festival will be used to rebuild, rehabilitate, and fund relief projects for the Typhoon Yolanda victims. This is a guilt-free concert party as the proceeds will go to HelpPH and the EJ Litton Foundation. 

According to Herrera, “We want 7107 International Music Festival to be a reminder to our countrymen that music moves, and help is on the way.”

‘Bet on Your Baby’ tops ratings on the pilot episode

‘Bet on Your Baby’ is praised due to top ratings on the pilot episode last Saturday. 

Ratings and feedback revealed that ABS-CBN’s newest game show “Bet On Your Baby” proved to be an instant hit among television viewers with a well-received pilot episode that aired last Saturday (October 19).

Based on data from Kantar Media, “Bet On Your Baby” premiered to garner a national TV rating of 26.1%, nearly doubling that of its rival program, GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend,” which earned 14.4%.

Aside from that, the show’s official hashtag #BetOnYourBabyPH soared to the top of Twitter’s trending lists all over the country, paired with positive reviews and praises for the program.

The show’s host, hands-on mom Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, was very pleased with the pilot episode’s outcome and reception, expressing utmost gratitude through social media. “To everyone who waited for and watched Bet On Your Baby, thank you so much,” she said.

“Bet On Your Baby” first featured three Kapamilya stars with their children, including broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna and his daughter Helga, basketball star turned actor Benjie Paras and his daughter Sam, and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and her son Seth.

Out of the three, Ai-Ai’s family advanced to the show’s jackpot round, taking home P60,000.

Watch out the first episode of “Bet On Your Baby” to see how it all plays out.

The first episode of the highly-anticipated game show “Bet On Your Baby” hosted by well-loved showbiz personality and hands-on mom Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo is finally taking to television screens this Saturday (Oct 19) with none other than three favorite Kapamilya stars and their babies as the show’s very first contestants.

Ai Ai delas Alas, Anthony Taberna and Benjie Paras, along with their babies, are set to take on the “Bet On Your Baby” stage. Along with their respective companions, the three will be taking on the three different rounds of the game show, namely the initial round, the puzzle round, and the jackpot round.

In the first round, Ai Ai, Tunying and Benjie will be asked to guess how things will turn out inside the “Baby Dome”, where their babies will be. Whoever guesses right will be rewarded with P10,000.

After that, the three celebrities will all look on as their babies dive into a pile of toys, slowly revealing a picture puzzle underneath. The first contestant to figure the puzzle out in the second round will proceed to the jackpot round.

Reaching the jackpot round is already a win in itself, as the family that makes it through will already be taking home a minimum of P50,000. However, the major jackpot prize in the show’s final round amounts to P1 million.

MOM AND ME FUN CIRCUIT happens every SATURDAY and SUNDAY of October with each event day featuring 3 different activities.

Hop on a super cool bus and take the weekend off with your little ones, sharing bonding moments as you do sports, cooking and baking, swimming, arts and crafts classes, and more in the stops.

Here's the first ever Neon Fun Run in The Philippines! 

Neon Fun Run is an electrifying 5k race for people who enjoy gathering with friends, running, walking, jogging, and run in the night illuminated with neon lights.

Participants will get 4 glow sticks in every kilometer they run so the more you run, the more neon glow sticks you’ll have.

So will you stay in the 70s lane? or at stage new wave 80s? or at 90s party leg or go all the way to the techno/trance party?

This event is less about speed and more about enjoying a night of neon lights and neon glow body paint under LED and black lights with friends and family (THIS IS NOT A RAVE).

Each course is designed to light up the night with several UV black light glow-zones, upbeat dance music of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and current top hits and amped runners who are dressed up and ready to party. Although it is a 5k run and everybody can run as hard as they’d like, most just want to light-it-up, have a good time, and dance their way to the finish.

The fun doesn’t end there because the after run celebration near the finish line is the best part of the Neon fun run – New Wave Party for a Cause

Mom and Me is the first lifestyle event series that aims to strengthen the bond and love between moms and kids (and dads too!) through various activities they can do together like cooking, arts and crafts, and more. Mom and Me Fun Circuit will take the mom and kids participants all over the metro to discover the best places where they can do activities together.

Happening on October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 (every Saturday and Sunday) at 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Mom and Me Fun Circuit gets you to do three different activities with the little ones!

Juan Night with Jose and Wally, FUNd Raising Event in Celebration of the World Thyroid Day

The Philippine Society of Nuclear Medicine presents a fund raising campaign event in celebration of the World Tyroid Day with a concert "Juan Night with Jose and Wally."

The certified concert tandem Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, from the GMA7 Eat Bulaga, will have another concert on July 6, 2013 to be held at  the Crossroad 77 Convenarium, Mother Ignacia cor. Scout Reyes, Quezon City in support of World Thyroid Day for the benefit of indigent patients from different parts of the country who are in need of Radioactive Iodine (RAI) Treatment.

Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty involving the application of radioactive substances in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

With the comedy tandem Jose and Wally, guests performers are co-host/singer Ethel Booba and Regine Velasquez impersonator Anton Diva.
