Everyday Is PlayDay Kicks Off Summer At SM


Everyday is PlayDay is back at SM ! Last April 13, 2018 at SM City North Edsa, along with 17 other malls, celebrate all play, all fun, all day for kids and the whole family had a huge comeback. 

Making all SM Supermalls a venue for everything play.

During the next months, more than twenty global brands will be launching their latest toy collections in Sm City North Edsa. Likewise, more than 60 characters and brands such as Spongebob, Shimmer and Shine, Beyblade, Hasbro Gaming, and Shopkings, will tour all the 18 malls in a series of exciting shows and meet and greet sessions.

This year’s campaign is set to be much bigger and stronger with their growing partnership with Sony Playstation, that will bring more fun and exciting technology in our days of play, Fujifilm Instax, which will capture the best and fun memories from kids to kids at hearts, and Pay Maya and Globe G-cash that will offer 30% off rebates on their loyal customers who wants to avail their favorite toys through mobile payment.




Kicking off the campaign is the launch of new Shimmer and Shine toy collection at the Block Atrium at SM City North Edsa on May 5 – 6. This top rating Nickelodeon show is about a twin genies-in-training who grants wishes to their human friend Leah. It highlights the importance of teamwork, resilience, and overcoming obstacles. This is a show that our little girls will surely wouldn’t want to miss.

90’s kids will enjoy the huge comeback of Beyblade, on August 31 – September 2 at the Annex Activity Area at SM City North Edsa. It is known in Japan as Explosive Shoot Beyblade, a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Takao Aoki, to promote sales of this spinning tops called “Beyblades”.

The whole family will definitely love the Hasbro Gaming which will have activation at Sm City Fairview, SM City Novaliches, Sm City San Jose Del Monte, SM City East Ortigas, SM City Bicutan, and SM City BF Paranaque from Arpil to October this year. Hasbro engages families and friends through toys and games. In this upcoming leg, we are set to create our very first life-sized versions of gaming toys including Monoply, Jenga, Pie Face, Connect and Twister.



Kids who love combining entertainment and education will surely get excited for Nutty Scientist which will have roadshow all around SM Metro Manila malls. They create fun, spectacular, interactive activities and uses educational techniques in the form of shows or workshops for kids. Children will be active participants on the hands-on activities they offer tat will be led by professionals.

Also this year, with the help of SM Cares, Everyday Is Playday will be bringing up DSWD partner charities and organizations including SOS Children’s Village Philippines to our series of shows and events. Watch out for more exciting toy launches and events this year.

Team Juanton of Davao wins Cebu Pacific’s Juan for Fun 2017 Backpacking Challenge

“The Philippines is a beautiful country and many Filipinos have not had the opportunity to explore their own country. There is much to see and do in the country and this one of the reasons why we continue to expand and offer flights to destinations in the Philippines. We want to make air travel easy, affordable and accessible for everyJuan,” said Charo Logarta-Lagamon, Cebu Pacific Air corporate communications director, as she congratulated the finalists at the Juan For Fun (JFF) Awarding event on July 24, 2017 held at the Mallorca Sunken Outdoor Club, Ibiza, BGC.

A WHOLE NEW ADVENTURE. Juan for Fun Team Juanton members Geia, Dominic and Chin take home the grand prize of one-year travel-all-you-can passes to Cebu Pacific’s local and international short-haul destinations. 

After seven days of setting off to an adventure of a lifetime, Team Juanton of Davao is named Cebu Pacific’s Juan for Fun 2017 Ultimate Backpackers.

Team Juanton  -  Three graduating college students from Davao City won the Juan For Fun (JFF) - Geia, Dominic and Chin take home the grand prize of one-year travel-all-you-can passes to Cebu Pacific’s local and international short-haul destinations.


Team Juanton beat four other teams—Team Phun of Bacolod City; Team Malackai of Baguio City; Team Patsada of Cagayan de Oro and Team Barbie from Metro Manila, with an adventure travel itinerary that covered Dumaguete and Siquijor—destinations never before visited by JFF contestants.


Team Juanton ventured to the waters with island-hopping and scuba diving before proceeding to Cebu and then to Legazpi. They also took home minor prizes for the Chippy Kada Challenge and Smart Challenge. The Davaoeño team is also the youngest among all the competitors.

2017 Backpacking Challenge, each taking home a Cebu Pacific Travel All-You-Can pass for unlimited local and international short-haul destinations for one year, plus pocket money from co-presenters GetGo and Union Bank. The three students—18-year-old Gloria Andrea Mendoza; and 19-year-olds Christian Dominic Ang and Chyn Ira Crisostomo, comprised Team Juanton in the annual event presented by Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading carrier.

The Juan For Fun Backpacking Challenge, mow on its sixth year, brought teams of young adventurers on an epic, seven-day fun race across the country, with P40,000 in pocket money, Boreas backpacks, and Oppo camera phones. This year’s JFF run had the final five teams locked in over 300 activities, done in over 25 locations, in just seven days—the most number of activities registered in Juan for Fun history.


Throughout the seven day-adventure travel challenge, the top five JFF 2017 sought to experience the Philippines’ vibrant cultural tapestry as seen in the regions’ different modes of transportation, specialty dishes, and local practices, transporting their followers on social media with enthralling images. 


Team Patsada of Cagayan de Oro - 2nd Place

Team Patsada of Cagayan de Oro came in second, with friendship nurtured on the road, after visiting Coron, Cebu, Bacolod, and Davao. Team members Ron, Rene, and James are now intent to see more of the Philippines by travelling.


Team Barbie  -  3rd Place

In third place was Team Barbie, with members Marlou, Adonis, and Carl posting photos and videos frolicking along the shore of Puerto Princesa. Donning their signature straw hats, the team paddled their way to Siargao and Boracay before heading back to Manila.


Team Phun of Bacolod City and Team Malackai of Baguio City shared (4th)fourth place.

TeamPhun members Bryan, Alfed, and Josh boosted their team work as they made their way from Cebu to Davao and Camiguin. They wowed their followers with Amsterdam-like views, creative lighting effects on a field of roses, trick eye exhibits and natural wonders, showing travelers they don’t need to wander far to see delightful views.

The boys of Team Malackai—Kahel, Ian, and John—were pumped up with their “great outdoors” itinerary. After winning the Coaches’ Choice Award, they went off to Bohol, Cebu, Surigao and Surigao del Sur to find the best experience whether in the air, on land, or at sea.

This year’s travel content expert coaches also rallied the teams with their travel tips and backpacker challenges. YouTube Vlogger Wil Dasovich, Becoming Filipino advocate Kyle Jennermann, Beautiful Destination Social Media Strategist Ren Sapitan, international blogger of JustOnewayTIcket.com Sabrina Iovino, and returning coach and travel writer Jude Bacalso were onboard, urging the five finalists to have the most epic ride with Cebu Pacific.

The Juan for Fun Backpacker Challenge 2017 has Boreas Gear as the official travel gear and Oppo camera phone as the official camera. The challenge is also endorsed by the Department of Tourism.

AffiniTea Presents Brown Race: A Benefit Run for Grace to Be Born Foundation

AffiniTea Philippines presents the Filipino runner's high through a fun run aptly dubbed as the "Brown Race" at the CCP Complex on December 14, 2014.


Seasoned fun run participants know all too well that it takes focus, commitment, and preparation to get past the finish line. That is why it is always encouraging and motivating to run with a community. Running activities help reduce stress while earning extra mental health points. Aside from the physical benefits of raising one's fitness and confidence levels, a fun run is also a great way to raise money for charity.

The race will benefit the mothers and children of Grace to be Born Foundation. 40 "Doodle 4 Google" finalists vie for votes

Doodles are the fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.

Doodle 4 Google competition was launched by Google Philippines last July with the theme “What can I do for the Philippines?”

Public voting is now open for the 40 Doodle 4 Google finalists. 

The judges comprised of 2009 CNN Hero of the Year Efren Penaflorida, TBWA-Santiago Mangada Puno Senior Art Director CJ De Silva, PLDT-Smart Foundation, Inc. President Ma. Esther Santos, and BPI Foundation, Inc. Senior Vice President and Executive Director Fidelina Corcucera selected the 40 best doodles from a pool of 51,000 entries from all over the Philippines. Google Doodler Katy Wu, teacher,  will final judge and announce who will be the doodler champion.

They were chosen and classified according to four age groups: 5-8 years old; 9-11 years old; 12-14 years old; and 15-17 years old. 

Voters can visit http://www.google.com.ph/doodle4google until October 30 to select one doodle per age category which they think best answers the theme and represents the Filipino spirit. At the end of public voting, the doodle with the most number of votes per age group will be selected. One overall winner among the four finalists will then be chosen by Google.

Announcement of the winner will be on November 7, 2014. The overall winner will be featured on Google Philippines’ homepage for 24 hours in November and will receive a specially designed trophy by Google. A PHP 400,000 educational grant from BPI Foundation at any school/college in the Philippines, an art kit from National Book Store and an Acer C720 Chromebook will also be given to the overall winning participant. The PLDT-Smart Foundation will also provide a PHP 350,000 connectivity grant to the school or community learning center of the overall winner.

Shop, Learn and Play at Baby and Family Expo PH set in December 2014

BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2014, the country's biggest family expo where families love to shop, learn and play is on its 2nd year!

The BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2014 is a one-stop shop for all baby, children, pregnancy and family needs, happening this coming December 5 - 7, 2014 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

The three-day event will cover the stages of family growth from maternity, newborns, infants, toddlers and children. Last year’s Baby and Family Expo became the main event of the year for all maternity, baby, early childhood and parenting needs, with over 200 exhibitors as well as experts and celebrity parents like Regine Tolentino, Gladys Reyes-Sommereux, RJ Ledesma, Edric Mendoza, providing free seminars to expo visitors and fun-filled activities for the whole family.

This year, a gallery showcasing fascinating toys and creations will spark the awe in children and rekindle the inner child of every visitor in the Baby & Family Expo’s Toy Museum inside the hall. Children can also enjoy fun and exciting rides and games with the World of Wonder. Fun-filled activities specially organized to widen children’s horizon will also be set up at The Imagination Kitchen, an arts and crafts station.

2014 PBA All-Star weekend at the Mall of Asia Arena on April 4 - 6


The Mall of Asia Arena, kick-off the All-Star festivities and hosts the Philippine Basketball Association All-Stars Weekend April 4 - 6, 2014.

The Mall of Asia Arena, through to its commitment to change the game and elevate entertainment for the Filipino audience, guarantees a world-class events and entertainment experience to its audience.

Watchout for the PBA All Stars weekend at the Mall Of Asia Arena, with the PBA idols, baskeball legends and celebrities joining the mid-season festivities, such as the Obstacle Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest and Legends Game.

Highlights of the weekend are PBA Greats vs Stalwarts and Skills Challenge game on April 4, 8 pm. The ultimate showdown between the PBA All-Stars and the Smart Gilas Pilpinas National Team will be on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Other activities will include basketball clinics, hospital visits, medical visits, meet and greet, referee clinics and coaches clinics. 

The PBA Greats and Stalwarts will once again be composed of active players and former cagers combined.

The Greats will be led by playing coach Atoy Co along with Rey Guevarra of Meralco, Rookie spitfire Terrence Romeo of GlobalPort, two-time MVP Willie Miller of Barako Bull, Jvee Casio of Alaska, Jonas Villanueva of Air21 and Cliff Hodge, also of the Bolts for the current players. They will be joined by legends like Freddie Abuda, Vergel Meneses, Jason Webb, Johnedel Cardel and Express head coach Franz Pumaren.

The Stalwarts will be composed of Bogs Adornado as its playing coach, Sol Mercado of San Miguel Beer, John Wilson of Meralco, Ronjay Buenafe of the Energy Colas, Chris Tiu of Rain or Shine, Mac Cardona of Air21 and Jervy Cruz of the Elasto Painters for the active players. The legends that will team up with them are Noli Locsin, Bal David, Jeffrey Cariaso, Dickie Bachman and Richard Del Rosario.

Four-time defending champion Villanueva goes for his fifth straight Obstacles Challenge crown against Casio, Miller, Romeo, Hodge, Mercado, LA Tenorio of Barangay Ginebra, Paul Lee of Rain or Shine, Philippine Cup Finals MVP Marc Barroca of San Mig Coffee and Jayson Castro of Talk ‘N Text.

In the Three-Point Shootout, Tiu tries to defend his crown against three-time former champion Mark Macapagal of GlobalPort, who’ll try to regain the title after losing it last year. They will also be up against Casio, Buenafe, Cardona, Mac Baracael of Ginebra, Gary David of Meralco, Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel, James Yap of San Mig Coffee and Larry Fonacier of Talk ‘N Text.

In the Slam Dunk Contest, defending champion Chris Ellis of Barangay Ginebra will have his hands full as he’ll face a stiff test from various aerial artists such as high-leaping Justin Melton of the Coffee Mixers, Calvin Abueva of Alaska, Arwind Santos of San Miguel, Hodge, Guevarra and former champion Japeth Aguilar of the Gin Kings as well.

THE Philippine Basketball Association All-Star Weekend is the annual assembly of the best players of the PBA playing various events such as the 3-point shootout, skills competition, shooting completion by All-Star Game.
