Mr. Noel Tolosa, Marketing Manager of American Standard Phils.
Mr. Noel Tolosa, American Standard marketing manager said that “these new product lines represent American Standard’s uncompromising belief in the growing sophistication of the market.  These products are here because of extensive product research into what the consumers want and what they need.”  As a trendsetter in the design and innovation sector, American Standard has always ensured that its designs remain relevant to the needs of today’s families and to today’s times.

The company launched the Concept Cube, a line of compact but beautiful and stylish bathroom fixtures.  The Concept Cube seamlessly blends the sleek modern lines with innovative technology, using strong and simple lines for a contemporary look.  A signature soft inner rim that lends architectural style beautifully balances this and is ideal for even small bathrooms so common in today’s condominium housing.  The Concept faucet series, on the other hand, complements the modern, compact and sophisticated styling of the water closets and lavatories.  Made of high-quality chrome, these faucets make even small bathrooms chic and stylish.  The faucet allows better water saving because it provides better control for users and being leak free.

It is said that the evolution of the water closet is a reflection of how civilized human living has become.  This philosophy is reflected in the Satis Asteo water closet collection, which features amenities like LED dim lighting, soft music, automatic seat open and flushing, twin nozzle bidet, and air purification system that eliminates bad odors and airborne fungi and bacteria.  The Satis Asteo reflects American Standard’s mantra of innovating on products to meet its customers’ changing lifestyles.

Looking at the company’s new line of shower heads, it is clear that the inspiration came from one thing:  vibrant colors.  The iColor Hand Showers evokes a fantasy world of plastic and bubble.  Through a fascinating and playful concoction of art, science and technology, the iColor Hand Shower is well suited to today’s fun-loving and imaginative homeowner.  The line of products pushes the boundaries of the human imagination—with refreshing results. There are more vibrant colors mean more fun in the shower!

An Awesome Chef Hasset Go Bloggers Night: The Il Mercanti Experience

I always love to hear about the various food festivals.  Last week, I was fortunate to attend an awesome event - Chef Hasset Go Bloggers Night: The Il Mercanti Experience held May 5, 2012 at Il Mercanti Food Bazaar in Metrowalk. It marked the launching of Chef Hasset Go’s website, www.chefhassetgo.com.
The event was attended by bloggers, social media influencers, media, sponsors as well as the friends and family of the young and multi-awarded chef and Sweets Master- Chef Hasset Go.

We’d come together on this night on the common ground of a few things: we like to savor great food, we like to meet and witness live cooking demo of Chef and we like to spread awesomeness.

After the opening remarks by Ms. Analou de Castro, Marketing Manager of Il Mercanti Food Bazaar, one of the concessionaires of the food bazaar, Chef Nando of Los Hermanos cooked in front of us his famous Paella.
The highlight of the whole event is the live demo cooking of Chef Hasset Go, a product of Heny Sison Culinary School and co-owner of MedChef Homemade Cakes and Pastries. He cooked a pasta dish using products courtesy of King Sue and also his bestselling Pastry Tower using ingredients courtesy of Puratos.
I am very happy to be in an awesome food festival,  witnessing a live cooking demo by Chef Hasset Go.
After every dish, the guests were given a chance to taste the final product which is how the event was differentiated from the usual cooking shows on TV. It offered a whole new way of experiencing a live cooking demo show within a new and emerging popular food bazaar in the metropolis.

The live cooking demos were followed by a Cake Fashion Show showcasing the cakes that are to be featured in Chef Hasset Go’s soon-to-be-launched recipe book entitled “Desserts to Go”.

The beautiful night was hosted by DJ Churley of 101.9 Tambayan and Ms. Kathy Solis of ABS-CBN. There were games of the energetic and food lovers bloggers, fun , comedy kits, sharings and songs of talented guests.

Yummy food served from II Mercanti food concessioners!

The event was finally capped by a message from the organizer, Mark Joseph Delgado of Mediactiv8 Communications, who thanked everybody especially the Lord Almighty, the guest bloggers, the sponsors, the media as well as his friends and family who supported him with his “school” project- a requirement for the last module of his online classes at the Ateneo DigitalFilipino Blog and Social Media Entrepreneur Program.

I really enjoy this wonderful event. It was a blast at Chef Hasset Go's Bloggers' Night.

Time Magazine Breast Feeding Cover with Jamie Lynn and Son

Time Magazine’s latest cover story is about extreme parenting, and Time’s accompanying cover is, well, extreme. The cover features blogger Jamie Lynn Grumet confidently staring at the reader while offering her nipple to her son AramThe Los Angeles-based mom applies the same practice to her adopted five-year-old son Samuel.
Time magazine cover image of a mother breastfeeding her three-year-old son has sparked debate about the technique known as attachment parenting. With the headline "Are you mom enough?" Jamie Lynne Grumet, 26, appears on the latest US edition's cover with her son Aram, 3, as he stands on a small seat to reach her.
Jamie Lynne Grumet  thinks there is nothing wrong with either the practice of ‘extreme’ breast-feeding or posing with her breast in her son’s mouth on a national magazine cover in an interview for the Time breastfeeding cover.
“People have to realize this is biologically normal,” Jamie Lynn Grummet said “It’s not socially normal. The more people see it, the more it’ll become normal in our culture. That’s what I’m hoping. I want people to see it,” Jamie Lynne  said in an interview for the Time breastfeeding cover.
"It's really warm. It's like embracing your mother, like a hug. You feel comforted, nurtured and really, really loved. I had so much self-confidence as a child, and I know it's from that." She told the magazine she remembered being latched onto her mother's breast.
She adds that Samuel, who is originally from Ethiopia, took to her breast almost instantly. "Being able to give him that comfort, with the trauma that he faced was really, really important to me. I didn't realize how much it would help my attachment to him. When his English improved, because the connection was there, he didn't do it as much."
The Time cover has also already attracted a growing number of internet memes. However, according to mom Jamie Lynn Grumet’s supporters, it is nurturing, natural and something to be proud of.
The issue will be out May 11.

Run for Road Safety to start at OneA Events Place on May 13

Run for Road Safety to start at OneA Events Place on May 13, Sunday is an important date for runners, the family of the late professor-journalist Lourdes"Chit" Estella Simbulan and those who advocate road safety. It also commemorates the declaration of U.N.’s Decade of Action for Road Safety last year.

One person who will not miss the event is Alvin Carranza, the founder of MacGraphics Carranz and team manager of Pilipinas Teen Azkals.

Aside from owning OneA Events Place, the run’s starting point, road safety—he says— has been one of his advocacies.
“If we’re aware of what the government agencies, including U.N., has been doing, we’ll remember that each time we drive, we have to be more careful, Carranza tells the bloggers on May 10 at the Café Lupe.

The recent statistics released by the World Bank last month states, “Currently, 1.3 million people are killed on the world’s roads each year and 90 percent of these deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, with an economic cost that can exceed total overseas aid flowing in.”

Carranza adds, “Sa Pilipinas, hindi pa kasama yung sa probinsiya, nasa top 5 tayo sa may pinakamaraming road injuries. Gaya ng sinabi ni Professor Roland Simbulan, the husband of Ms. Chit, ang road safety should be everyone’s concern.”

Present at the bloggers’ night are Chito Manuel of Philippine Football Federation, Atoy Sta. Cruz of Motorcyle Philippines Federation, and Prof. Roland Simbulan, the husband of Chit.
Alvin Carranza and Roland Simbulan
The run, which will be held this Sunday, at 5:00 a.m. Those who want to register, please contact Vicky 0917 9841063 or text these numbers 09224194879 and 09175599019. There will be an onsite registration as well.

Several government agencies joined forces to organize this run: Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Land Transportation Office (LTO); Land Transportation, Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Automobile Association of the Philippines, and Motorcycle Philippines Federation.
