Members of the volleyball team Creamline Cool Smashers had a field day spending time with their beloved fans and supporters on what was dubbed Good Vibes Day held recently at Gerry’s Grill, Tomas Morato in Quezon City.



Led by team captain and star player Alyssa Valdez, the Cool Smashers enjoyed taking photos, signing shirts, making fan signs and videos, and just spending time with the very people cheering for them on and off the court. There were fifty lucky fans selected from the Creamline Creamy Ice Cream Facebook Fanpage who came in their Creamline shirts, bringing their usual happy, good vibes. 

Observing how the specially created fans day went, everybody was in a good mood, reflecting the positive vibes associated with the team spirit and crowd-drawing fan support that have characterized the campaign of the Cool Smashers right off the bat. 



Fans expressed their admiration for the Cool Smashers in various ways like giving them special gifts, posing for pictures, and addressing the team with sincere praises. 

The Cool Smashers, one of the exciting teams formed and playing for the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), finished third place in the just concluded Reinforced Conference. They debuted last April 30, kicking off their very first campaign that turned out to be a brilliant showcase of what they can do to give more credence to the league and the community that breathes on the sport of volleyball in this part of the globe. 

“We appreciate the support of our fans and we dedicate this day to them,” said import Laura Schaudt who, together with co-import Kuttika Kaewpin, had to leave for home that same day. 

The two imports practically saved the best for last in their fun days as players for Creamline. They had a good time with their teammates and their fans who showed everyone how loyal and expressive they are in their support of their favorite team. They told everyone they had a fun experience in Manila playing for Creamline. It won’t come as a surprise if they’d be back for another tour of duty.

Clearly, Valdez, awarded Most Valuable Player for the conference, is the heart and soul of the team. Yet, the fans showed up to let everybody know that each Creamline player is as special as anyone in the team. Valdez herself acknowledged that she couldn’t perform well without her teammates delivering the goods for the team’s welfare. 

‘We would like to thank everyone who supported us since Day 1. Our fans are keeping up with the good vibes that fuel our team every step of the way,” she stated. 

The Creamline Cool Smashers are expected to perform even better in the next conference as they gel even more as a team of talented and dedicated players, with a fan base growing by the day.

The Creamline Cool Smashers were formed with the backing of iconic brand Rebisco that has long been supporting volleyball in the country. 

The Good Vibes Day saw the players giving Rebisco gift bags to their fans, sharing cool moments in the special photo booth installed at the venue, chatting with the media representatives who graced the event, and jamming with everyone singing their hearts out.

Jollibee opens milestone 1,000th store at BGC Triangle Drive

Jollibee, the country’s number one fast-food chain celebrates its biggest milestone to date with the opening of its 1,000th store in the Philippines at BGC Triangle Drive in Taguig City.

The well-loved Filipino brand has come full circle, from the time that it opened its first store in the late 1970’s with a modest ice cream parlor in Cubao, to becoming one of the most successful and reputable Filipino brands, and to date, Asia’s number one QSR brand.

From traditional to “modern tropical”

Jollibee’s 1,000th milestone branch in BGC Triangle Drive is the sixth Jollibee store in Bonifacio Global City and the 16th in Taguig. It features the latest modern tropical design concept that’s expected to appeal to customers of all ages, has a seating capacity of 350 people, and two (2) spacious and beautifully-decorated party areas that give-off a hip and refreshing vibe with colorful sets of furniture.

Creative murals also give the milestone store engaging and contemporary feel, starting with a 27-foot long drive-thru Jollibee Pinoy Art containing images of the Philippine Eagle, the carabao, and the sarimanok grabbing some Chickenjoy to bring home, while another artwork welcomes visitors to “a world of joy” at the parking entrance. Indeed, from the exterior down to the details, the 1,000th store is set to enhance the overall dining experience of customers. 


1,000 Reasons to be thankful 

To kick-off the celebration, Jollibee hosted a store blessing ceremony attended by valued business partners, government officials, and other special guests. Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong, JFC Chief Executive Officer Ernesto Tanmantiong, JFC Philippines Country Head Joseph Tanbuntiong, and Chief Global Real Estate Officer William Tan Untiong unveiled the 1,000th store commemorative marker. 


This was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony and official store blessing led by Jollibee Philippines President JJ Alano with Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Nora Terrado, Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and Jollibee BGC Triangle Drive Restaurant Manager Sharon Morendo.

“Many say that Jollibee is more than just a fastfood company. Yes, it is the home of the famous Chickenjoy and other great-tasting products. But more than that, it has been a part of Filipinos’ lives for generations,” said JJ Alano. “It has become synonymous to joy, family and cherished traditions.”

To further build on its Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP), Jollibee Foods Corporation, through the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), is investing P10 million in a program that will educate and train 1,000 young farmers on agro-enterprise management, in partnership with academic institutions, NGOs, Local government units, and Social Enterprises across the country.


This was symbolically presented by JFC Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong and JGF President Grace Tan Caktiong to Rowell Lopez and Lawrence Catabay, young farmers from Ilocos and Pangasinan who directly supply JFC through FEP. Implemented by JGF, FEP is one of the programs that aims to help Filipino families put food on their tables.



The store blessing program culminated in Jollibee’s well-loved tradition. “Here’s a toast to celebrate Jollibee Philippines’ 1,000th store milestone! May we continue to make Jollibee a source of pride, hope and joy for our fellow Filipinos here and across the globe!” said JFC CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong as he led the Chickenjoy Toast.

As the doors of the 1,000th store finally opens to the public, celebrity guest and Jollibee endorser, Anne Curtis, is set to serve customers at the dine-in and drive-thru counters, while Jollibee and squad are slated to entertain event-goers with a friendly, energetic showdown with the UPeepz.

TOYCON returns to celebrate pop culture this 2017

Globe proudly presents Asia’s biggest convention for collectibles and other hobbies


Fans of pop culture will soon unite for The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention (TOYCON), Asia’s biggest and longest-running convention for collectibles, toys, anime, comics, cosplay, and gaming. This year’s run will be held from June 30 to July 2, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, and Globe will be a proud sponsor for the event.

Customers and guests can drop by the Globe Postpaid booth where they will get to learn more about the all-new GoWATCH399, a service that dedicates 10GB worth of data for streaming on popular platforms Netflix, YouTube, Tribe, HOOQ, NBA, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel Apps.
