Sunsilk celebrates graduates and their “habamazing possibilities” with first ever virtual graduation party

What can’t we do these days? Everything is online now, from webinars to e-bonding nights, online classes to quiz nights – we have all mostly adjusted our interactions to be purely digital. From the activities that we took for granted to the important ceremonies, we’ve all made do with what we can.



It’s no surprise then that Sunsilk, which has always encouraged Filipinas to explore #habamazingpossibilities, is at the forefront of all this, by hosting the first ever online graduation in the Philippines.


Last May 28, Sunsilk celebrated the achievements of the Graduating Class of 2020 through a 45-minute program on Facebook Live. Celebrity endorsers and leading ladies, Kathryn Bernardo and Maris Racal, shared how they worked through their own struggles to get to where they are now. From overcoming challenges like balancing school and work to staying positive, focused and hopeful given any situation, both stars opened up and showed their true beautiful selves. 



Ten representatives from different schools around the country were also featured in the program and got a chance to meet their idols, Kathryn and Maris. “Di ko po inakala na magkakaroon pa kami ng graduation celebration dahil sa situation pero Sunsilk made it happen”, said one participant. All ten were given special awards for being achievers in different fields like journalism, math and the arts, to name a few. The event ended with a commencement speech by Kathryn that encouraged the graduates to continue believing in habamazing possibilities, and a touching rendition of “Umagang Kay Ganda” by Maris. 


Graduation is one of the most important events in a girl’s life. This once-in-a-lifetime occasion is a defining moment for every student out there who has had to go through numerous lessons, exams, and grueling nights just to make that victory march to their diploma. It was not at all what any of us imagined, but this Sunsilk online graduation party was indeed special, unforgettable and the perfect way to celebrate the achievements of the Graduating Batch of 2020.

The collection is inspired by J Balvin’s upcoming March album, Colores and incorporates red, yellow, green, blue and purple tones into each piece, weaving J Balvin’s latest venture into this fashion capsule.

RedDoorz Launches HygienePass: An Industry-Wide Certification Programme to Promote Good Sanitation and Hygiene Practices in the Age of COVID-19


  • RedDoorz’s “HygienePass” will be in collaboration with a public health expert and targets all of RedDoorz Philippines’ 250 hotels across the country to be certified. 

  • This certification programme aims to establish an industry-wide standard of cleanliness to tackle the realities of COVID-19 at a hotel level.   

Philippines, 9 June 2020 – RedDoorz, Southeast Asia’s largest and fastest-growing online hotel management and booking platform, today announced the launch of “HygienePass”, an industry-wide cleanliness & sanitation certification programme that follows the new set of health and safety guidelines for the hospitality industry.  

The programme aims to standardise the hygiene and sanitation measures hotel players need to implement as precautionary measures during COVID-19 in order to manage ongoing health risks. The “HygienePass” also builds the Filipino travellers’ confidence in RedDoorz hotels by enabling them to easily identify ‘safe’ hotels, and reassure them that they are staying in establishments which implement and maintain a set of robust hygiene and cleanliness measures independently supported by a medical professional. 

Starting with the Luzon region, RedDoorz Philippines will ensure all its 250 properties will undergo a comprehensive audit which is required to obtain the certification programme. This process will be in close coordination with one of the prominent public health physicians today who will also be RedDoorz’s trainer and consultant for the programme, Dr. Renzo Guinto, M.D., DrPH.

RedDoorz has developed a proprietary digital technology solution to help counter the virus spread and to enable key elements of the audit and certification process. It is to be implemented digitally in light of the recent people mobility restrictions enforced by governments across the Philippines. 

RedDoorz hotels will have to apply and maintain several rigorous sanitation and hygiene measures on a daily basis covering temperature checks of hotel staff employees & incoming guests, adoption of specific cleaning methodology, and anti-bacterial products and equipment used to disinfect rooms and public areas, and heightened general hygiene practices. A comprehensive audit process will be carried out and independently assessed by the expert before the certification is awarded and must be measured day-to-day for the certification to remain valid.
