Dazzling the ber months with Careline’s Blythe Stardust Palette

Anything sparkly, shiny and bright has the ability to get one into a festive mood. Now that we are well into the Ber months with holidays fast approaching, we should allow ourselves to enjoy the season—even more so during these very trying times—while it lasts.

Blythe Cosmetics by Careline helps give you that boost to perk you up, give you confidence, or simply get you into the holiday spirit with these fun make-up hacks you can try using the Blythe Stardust Highlighter Palette (P275):

 Blythe Stardust Palette

As an eye make-up: While highlighters are known to be applied on the high points of the face such as the cheeks, bridge and tips of the nose and cupid’s bow, it can also be used to make your eye make-up standout even more! Apply your preferred Stardust Palette shade above and below the eyebrows to enhance the shape of the brows and accentuate the eyes and face. You can also dust on the corners of the eyes to open them up and make them appear bigger and brighter.

As a concealer:  Did you know that you can also use highlighters to cover the dark circles of the eyes? To achieve this, go for the pearly white shade or pinkish tone in the palette and dab under the eyes; then apply your favorite concealer on top of it and blend into the skin to make it look seamless.

On the lips. On the days you get to expose your lips, be sure to make it standout by dabbing it on before or after you apply your gloss or lipstick. Also apply some on the cupid’s bow to give the illusion of a plumper lip.

On the skin: If you feel as if your skin looks dull and pale lately, a quick application of highlighter on the skin can easily make it look healthy and fresh. You can mix it with your favorite lotion or moisturizer or you can directly apply it on your collarbones, décolleté, shoulder and arms. You’ll surely dazzle when the sun hits your skin!

Bring sparkle into your life these ber months by trying these highlighter hacks using the Blythe Stardust Highlighter Palette available on Careline’s official Lazada page (bit.ly/BlytheLazada).

Globe myBusiness launches #GiftLocal campaign to support local SMEs this Holiday season

For Filipinos, Christmas is all about giving. Buying gifts for family members and loved ones is a tradition and no matter how different this year’s celebrations may be from what we are used to, the spirit of giving will always be alive in all of us.

Yearly, Globe myBusiness supports SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) with the #GiftLocal campaign that aims to encourage Filipino consumers to purchase their gifts to family and friends from local small businesses.

“We have always rallied the Filipino consumers to patronize local establishments and help Filipino SMEs, especially during the holiday season,” said Globe myBusiness Strategy and Marketing Head Maridol Ylanan. “This year’s Gift Local campaign will serve an even greater purpose, as we feature the products of our SME partners that will delight Filipino customers for their gift giving celebration, while supporting our local SMEs bounce back in these challenging times.”

As a part of the annual Gift Local campaign that promotes buying and gifting local during the holiday season, Globe myBusiness is holding a 3-day E-Bazaar with Lazada, happening from November 27 to 29. This will feature Globe myBusiness clients and partner SMEs such as Bayongciaga, Punta Riviera Resort, Old World Food Enterprise, and Robi & Peach RTW clothing with live selling to be streamed through Laz Live and Globe myBusiness’ Facebook page.

An even grander part of the campaign will happen as more activities and promos featuring SMEs will be rolled out by Globe myBusiness in collaboration with partner malls such as Ayala Malls and SM Premier Malls in the coming weeks. These collaborations with these partner malls are made more exciting through a social media promo that will encourage the public to upload their picture showing how they are keeping themselves safe while shopping and dining.

Globe’s #GiftLocal

Sitti Gives Inspiration, Hope, and Encouragement through Her Latest Single, Tahan

The Bossa Nova singer is excited about her latest single, Tahan. She wants to give inspiration, hope, and encouragement through her song during this time of global pandemic.

“I wrote Tahan one evening in early May; it was born during this pandemic. I was feeling so much all at the same time - confused, sad, unsure, afraid, and anxious. This pandemic has really shaken me and I often thought about those whose livelihoods were displaced, those who have lost their loved ones, how they couldn’t even give them proper burials and how uncertain all of life truly is. Tahan was also inspired by the book of Psalms - how David just poured out his whole heart to God without holding anything back. Feeling all of these, I let it all go in a song,”  Sitti shares.

Sitti is grateful for the opportunity of having composed a new song. “To be able to write one again, at the same time be healed in the process of writing, is truly a gift especially in these difficult times.” She wrote the first two verses and chorus one evening in early May and then finished the whole song the following evening.

The song was titled Tahan because there is a feeling of melancholy in it.

“Tahan is the only solace after all the outpouring of emotion. Tahan na, magiging okay din ang lahat sa takdang panahon,” Sitti says. “I cried as I wrote the song, cried at the end on my first recording session, cried again as I listened to the first rough mix.”

“The song encourages everyone to tell the Lord everything, every painful experience, every sadness, and after doing so, the song hopes that in the surrendering there could be healing and faith even if our current circumstances might cause worry and unrest.”

Tahan is very different from the previous songs that Sitti had written and recorded. It is progressive meditative, according to her arranger Ria Osorio. Likewise, Tahan is the first inspirational release from the country’s bossa nova queen.

Sitti’s favorite line in the song is O Diyos, palimos ng pag-asa.” It truly reflected the state of her heart then. “How hopeless everything seemed and clinging to Him for hope was the only option to survive.

Noong sinusulat ko itong kanta, walang-wala na talaga iyong pakiramdam ko. Talagang namamalimos na ako ng pag-asa,” she relates.

Daily devotion and prayer keep Sitti afloat during this difficult time. “I’ve learned and continue to relearn to prioritize essentials in my life: my faith and walk with the Lord, my family, and my relationship with myself. These are my top three. I must continue to feed and keep these three relationships healthy. If you’re wondering where my relationship with others/friends stand, they fall under my relationship with the Lord. As the Lord leads and provides, I reach out and help with what I can.”

Sitti has an important message to everyone.

“I hope this song (Tahan) would minister to you and help you get through these trying times. I hope it heals you. I hope it strengthens your faith and encourages you that Our Heavenly Father holds us in the palms of His hands and cares for all of our worries. He will carry us through this pandemic. God bless you. Please stay strong and have hope.”

Tahan is released under Widescope Entertainment and available on all digital platforms like iTunes, spotify, apple music, YouTube Music, Amazon, and Deezer starting November 6.

Caltex partners with PayMaya for safer cashless payments amid COVID-19 pandemic

Latest initiative lets motorists experience smoother and secure transactions

Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), partners with digital financial services leader PayMaya to provide motorists with safer cashless payment options when buying fuel, lubricants, and other products and services in select Caltex stations nationwide.

Caltex’s PayMaya partnership gives customers more ways to conveniently pay for their transactions.

Through this tie-up, Caltex can now accept credit, debit, and prepaid card payment options for VISA, Mastercard, and JCB cardholders, as well as e-wallet accounts such as PayMaya QR through the PayMaya One Point-of-Sale (POS) Android device.

As the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic remains across the country, Caltex continues to prioritize the safety of Filipino motorists by harnessing the power of contactless payment technology.

“We continue to employ strict safety measures in all our retail stations as we transition to the ‘new normal’. This initiative with PayMaya is one more way of showing that we value the safety of both our customers and frontline workers, as we continue to provide premium quality clean fuels from Caltex,” says CPI Country Chairman Louie Zhang.

“Customers can now enjoy the benefit of having more payment options in our Caltex stations. They can pay with their VISA and Mastercard bank cards, Bancnet, WeChat, and PayMaya QR when they avail Caltex fuels and other products,” added Zhang.

PayMaya is the leading digital financial services company in the Philippines uniquely offering end-to-end payment ecosystem solution across enterprises, consumers, government, and agent network. On the enterprise side, it provides cashless convenience to millions of Filipinos,  through its widest deployment of digital payments acceptance solutions to everyday merchants across the country.

“As we enable the entire transportation chain with contactless payment solutions for the benefit of motorists and the riding public, petroleum providers like Caltex play a role in keeping everyone safe even while on the road. We are excited to work with Caltex in elevating the experience of their customers,” PayMaya President Shailesh Baidwan said.

On top of safety and convenience, motorists can also enjoy up to 100% cashback when they scan-to-pay using their PayMaya app at select Caltex station. Robinson’s Rewards and MVP Rewards will also be integrated with PayMaya soon, allowing motorists to earn reward points that they can use for purchases.

The PayMaya One POS terminals are now available in the following Caltex retail stations across Luzon and Visayas. It will also be deployed in more Caltex stations nationwide in the coming months.
