Piolo remains a Kapamilya, to star in 2 ABS-CBN shows

The Ultimate Heartthrob once said he never left and “see you soon.” Like a true gentleman who honors his word, Piolo Pascual on Thursday (September 16) signed up anew with ABS-CBN, his home network for many years.

A red carpet welcome was rolled out for Piolo before his contract signing in ABS-CBN, where he was joined by ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, group CFO Rick Tan, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, and his talent manager Lulu Romero.

Kapamilya viewers can look forward to Piolo headlining two programs in ABS-CBN – a teleserye with new Kapamilya star Lovi Poe, and a romantic-comedy series where he reunites with Angelica Panganiban.

In his over 25 years as a Kapamilya, Piolo became known as a man of many talents. But what truly brought him closer to audiences over the years are his shows and movies that have become part of their lives and are now considered Filipino classics.

With hit shows like “Mangarap Ka,” “Lobo,” “Lovers in Paris,” “Noah,” box-office films such as “Dekada ’70,” “Starting Over Again,” “Milan,” “Don’t Give Up on Us,” and many more, Piolo solidified his status as the country’s most sought-after leading man and one of the finest actors of his generation.

ABS-CBN has revealed its new precious jewel, the multi-talented artist and showbiz royalty Lovi Poe.

The entertainment industry's precious jewel is finally home.

Showbiz royalty and multi-talented artist Lovi Poe is now officially a Kapamilya following her contract signing ceremony with ABS-CBN executives on Thursday (September 16).

The actress marked her first day as a Kapamilya by setting foot in the ABS-CBN compound, where she had a red carpet welcome led by ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of broadcast Cory Vidanes, group CFO Rick Tan, and Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal. Lovi’s talent manager Leo Dominguez also joined the contract signing ceremony.

Soon, Lovi is set to do her first Kapamilya drama series with ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual. It is Lovi’s second ABS-CBN project overall after she starred in the 2020 iWantTFC original movie “Malaya,” for which she clinched a Gawad Urian Best Actress nomination.

A rare and precious gem in showbiz, Lovi’s timeless charm and versatility as an artist have enabled her to take on diverse projects, from acting in film and TV to being a successful recording artist and style icon. ABS-CBN provides a perfect fit for Lovi’s talents, with many opportunities for her to shine on its multiple media platforms and ecosystems.

She has won several awards throughout her career, including Best Actress trophies from FAMAS Awards and the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. Lovi is also a beloved fashion muse, having posed for numerous magazine covers all around the world. One of the most dependable brand endorsers in the country, Lovi has over 11 million followers across her personal social media pages.

As she enters the next phase of her career as a Kapamilya, Lovi is tackling more international projects and pursuing her passions in Hollywood.

This year, Lovi launched her recording career in the US by releasing original songs such as “Candy,” “Lost,” and “Under” under the Los Angeles-based VIM Entertainment. She is also working on an EP with American producers Bob Robinson, KrisKeyz, and Grammy winner Omen that will be released soon.

Lovi is also set to star in her first Hollywood movie alongside British stars Alex Pettyfer and Poppy Delevingne, the biopic “The Chelsea Cowboy,” where she is playing English singer and icon Dana Gillespie.

Netflix Unveils TUDUM Trailer and Lineup for First-Ever Global Fan Event on September 25

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and all-star lineup for the inaugural “TUDUM: A Netflix Global Fan Event.”

On September 25, 145 of Netflix’s biggest stars and creators from around the world — representing over 70 series, films and specials — will join the virtual stage for this exciting day full of exclusives and first looks.

Inspired by the first beat you hear when you watch a show or movie on Netflix, TUDUM is our first-ever global fan event. Our goal is simple: to entertain and honor Netflix fans from around the world.

How to Watch

The virtual Livestream event begins at 12am Philippine time. The event will be broadcast across Netflix’s YouTube channels worldwide, in addition to Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook. In the Philippines, it will be available on the localized YouTube stream: Netflix Philippines (English).

There will also be special pre-shows spotlighting Korean and Indian series and films along with exciting anime content – taking place on September 25, right before the global premiere.
