Kicking off 2022 is the rollout of Mekeni’s new brand packaging, product lines, and a new campaign song that reflects the brand’s heritage and core values. With this brand refresh, Mekeni shows how the homegrown brand from Pampanga, continues to serve Timplang Atin to Filipino families for more than three decades.

Starting with the packaging, Mekeni launched its new design with bold colors and appetizing photos of the products. “With this new visual identity, we will be able to create a stronger brand image in the market. We wanted to get the consumers’ attention right away by putting the spotlight on our products and the new product lines, front and center,” said Garcia.

The new packaging featured the new product lines namely Mekeni Gold, Mekeni GoLite, Mekeni Specials, and Mekeni Suki Choice. Under these new categories are various Mekeni products that Filipino families love.

Mekeni Gold products are specialties made of high-quality meat and premium ingredients, carefully selected to deliver nothing but the best to everyone in the family. One of the premium products included in this line is Garlic Longanisa, a native viand well-loved by Filipinos that is made from premium pork and peppered with garlic and other spices.

Meanwhile, Mekeni GoLite products are those that consumers can enjoy guiltlessly, without compromising on taste and affordability. A Mekeni Marketplace for everyone

Just last year, Mekeni formally opened its newly renovated flagship factory outlet in Porac, Pampanga. Called the Mekeni Marketplace, the store stands in the same place where founders Felix and Meding Garcia first envisioned the family business.

A new chapter for Mekeni

Aside from these changes, one of Mekeni’s feat this first quarter of 2022 is the introduction of select street food products in the US. Last month, Mekeni announced that its Kikiam and Fish Balls are now available in Island Pacific Supermarket, a Filipino-American supermarket chain with 17 branches across California and Nevada. Jeremy G depicts stages of love in debut EP “maybe forever”

The “maybe forever” EP includes five original songs, four of which were written, composed, and co-produced by Jeremy himself.

Kapamilya singer Jeremy G turns to creating music to share his thoughts on romantic relationships in his debut extended play (EP) “maybe forever” out now on various digital music platforms worldwide.

“It’s actually about the stages of love—once you listen to the songs together, you’ll realize we all go through the same emotions. All these songs are about hope and wondering whether what you did or happened was right,” Jeremy explained.

He added, “We often think all romantic relationships reliably progress from the initial meet to infatuation, to a series of small trials, and finally to happily-ever-after. Love is a journey without a final destination.”

The “maybe forever” EP includes five original songs, four of which were written, composed, and co-produced by Jeremy himself including the pre-released single “someday” along with “who knows,” “forever maybe,” and key track “sunflower.” Trisha Denise’s composition “by your side” is also part of the album that’s produced overall by Star Pop head Rox Santos.

Jeremy described “who knows” as a song for those who are hesitant to take a leap of faith while “by your side” is about vocalizing how much your loved ones mean to you.

Meanwhile, “someday” expresses hopefulness for a relationship to work out despite distance, “sunflower” is a song about coping after a heartbreak, and “forever maybe” tackles the future one still dreams of with an ex-lover.

Aside from his debut EP and being a regular performer on “ASAP Natin ‘To,” The former “The Voice Teens” finalist will also be able show his acting chops in the upcoming ABS-CBN and iQiyi production “Lyric and Beat,” where he’ll star alongside other young Kapamilya talents like Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio, Angela Ken, Sheena Belarmino, and many more.

This Valentine’s Day, the country’s hottest stars Gigi de Lana, Markus Paterson and Kaori Oinuma headline PLDT Home’s new music anthology #SpeedThatMovesYou that celebrates the power of connections in forming meaningful relationships and discovering love in all forms.

The two-episode mini-series dives deep into different kinds of love and how the internet allows people to find communities, friends, even that special someone despite the physical distance. The series drops on February 11 on the PLDT Home YouTube channel.

The Duet

PLDT Home’s first episode tackles the relatable journey between Markus and Gigi whose unexpected love story highlights the power of online connections to find love and support in the most challenging moments.

In the episode dubbed as “Duet,” Markus portrays a popular singer-songwriter experiencing an artist’s block–struggling and under extreme pressure to create a successful music record. He finds solace in writing music for himself and posting it under an anonymous account on TikTok. Meanwhile, a young college student Arlisa (portrayed by Gigi) is a talented artist who sings covers and duets under an anonymous account as she prefers to be low-key and away from the spotlight. Arlisa discovers Markus’ song on social media and creates a duet cover which started their online friendship and a budding romance. With both of their characters living drastically different lives, will the connection that they built last?

The Confession
