Gearing up for the ‘Brrr’ Months Ahead : Here’s why Santé Barley™ and Santé Daily-C are your partners in this cold, rainy season

It feels nothing but joy to realize that the holiday season is just around the corner because, finally, we can start using our sweaters and jackets and get cozy with our holiday hot drinks. The Ber Months mark the start of the joyful season and the start of colder nights. But are you prepared to face these times?

It is only fitting to prepare yourself for the holiday season because it is best to celebrate it with your loved ones in your best shape. And for Santé, a premier natural health and wellness product, and services provider, celebrating the holiday season healthy is one of the greatest joys they can provide for people. With the COVID-19 pandemic and other health risks like the common cold, it is easy to get more exposed during the colder season.

According to an article, cold, rainy weather is not the reason people get sick; the viruses get stronger during the cooler temperature. These viruses spread faster, which increases the chance of exposure. To combat this, your immune system needs to be stronger than ever.

To gear up yourself during the ‘Brrr’ months, here’s how you can prepare with Santé.

Take your vitamins

One of the easiest ways for viruses and illnesses to enter your body is when you have a weak immune system. During the cold season, it is vital to strengthen your immune system to fully combat all viruses and bacteria that can cause cough, flu, cold, and more. While you can get a good number of vitamins and nutrition from the food you eat, it is also essential to take vitamins to support your body.

Vitamin is one of the important vitamins you should get for yourself because it is essential for your growth and boosts your immunity. If you want to get your daily dose of Vitamin C, it is time to include Santé Daily-C in your daily routine.

Santé Daily-C is the perfect vitamin for you and your loved ones in the ‘Brr’ months. It’s a non-acidic vitamin C that contains 568mg of Sodium Ascorbate. Since it’s a Sodium Ascorbate, it’s gentler on the stomach and safer for daily use. With Santé Daily-C, you can get the most out of this vitamin source without experiencing acidic pain. Santé Daily-C is available in three variants: Daily-C 500mg, Daily-C 750mg, and Daily-C Plus.

Switch to healthier eating habits

Of course, vitamins will not work on their own. You will need a good eating habit that will support the other vitamins and nutrients your body needs. If you are looking for a sign to go green and eat more vegetables and fruits more often, this is it.

Instead of eating junk food whenever you are stressed, try eating healthier snacks like salads. Moreover, if you love soft drinks, artificial juice, and drinks with too much sugar, it is also time to drop them and switch to a healthier alternative. Santé Barley™ is the best healthy drink that you can try.

Santé Barley™ is a pure barley grass powdered drink rightly mixed with stevia, one of nature’s most potent sweeteners. Santé Barley™ used barley grass harvested in New Zealand and is certified by BioGro as organic. This is best to take before meals and is also easy to prepare. You can adjust the taste of Santé Barley™ according to your liking by adjusting the water. Available in 3g sachets or in 200g canisters, Santé Barley™ is sure to complete your balanced diet.

Restock your medical supply

Because you will be more susceptible to viruses and illnesses during the cold season, restocking every medical supply needed in an emergency is crucial. One of the essential things to replenish is your go-to medicine for cough, colds, and flu. It is also vital to restock your sanitation kits like alcohol, disinfectant sprays, anti-bacterial soaps and wet wipes, and more that you can use to eliminate germs and viruses on any surface.

You can also restock some supplements to keep your body healthy in your medical supply. Aside from getting more stocks of Santé Daily-C, you should also include Santé Barley™ capsules in your medical kit.

Santé Barley™ capsules are a 500-mg pure barley grass powder packed in vegetable capsules, and this is best to take before meals. Once you add this capsule to your routine, it will help increase your stamina and energy, strengthen your immune system, and give you more benefits that will keep you healthy during the cold season.

Take a pause and rest

Usually, during Ber Months, people are busier than usual. There are many factors why and sometimes, it is so easy to get caught up with the hustle culture that we tend to forget to take a pause and rest for ourselves.

Remember, the holiday season is about spending time with your loved ones. And you probably cannot do it if your body is too tired from all the external stress you encounter. Now that the weather is colder, it is time to take all the warm hugs from your loved ones and treasure every moment.

While resting, it is also vital to include the vitamins and supplements from Santé to regain all the energy and nutrients you lost. Santé believes that to prepare for the cold season, you should also take care of your body. Using products with natural ingredients will surely make your Ber Months merrier.

“At Santé, we believe that spending the holiday season healthy is the greatest gift you can give to your loved ones. As a prime mover in the health and wellness industry, we always believe that these products should be more accessible to everyone so that every family and friend can always enjoy a healthy body,” said Joey Marcelo, chief executive officer of Santé.

UNIQLO Donates Proceeds from PEACE FOR ALL Charity T-shirt Project

Funds raised from worldwide sales of UTs expressing a desire for peace

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the donation of 145,314,300 yen of funds (as a reference only, US $1,007,173 when calculated using the September 20, 2022 exchange rate of of $1 = 143.23 yen) raised from the global sales of T-shirts through the PEACE FOR ALL charity project. The calculation period for the donation is from launch on June 17 through August 31, 2022. Presented on September 20, 2022, the amount of the donation was proportioned to three organizations that provide humanitarian aid to those affected by poverty, discrimination, violence, conflict, and natural disasters.

Koji Yanai, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer, and executive in-charge of Sustainability, presenting the donation to Japan-based representatives of the three organizations connected with the project at UNIQLO CITY TOKYO office on September 20

PEACE FOR ALL enlists support from prominent world-renowned leaders in the areas of art, design, literature, science, and sport who are aligned with the project’s aim and sells T-shirts with their unique designs expressing a desire for peace. The first collection of five charity T-shirts, part of the UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) brand that allows wearers to express their individuality, were released worldwide from June and purchased by many people. Ten new designs were launched one month later, with more designs to follow. UNIQLO would like to express its sincere appreciation to everyone who has so far purchased a T-shirt and for their warm encouragement.

Going forward, UNIQLO will continue to actively engage with persons who support the creation of charity T-shirts, and to sell those T-shirts worldwide. T-shirts are wonderful items that allow wearers to express and share their ideas with others. At the same time, UNIQLO will continue to offer donations in order to change the world in some small way for the better and realize a peaceful future in which all people are able to lead safe and secure lives.

Messages from Donation Recipients

UNHCR

“We appreciate everyone’s support for PEACE FOR ALL. The donations will be used to help UNHCR continue to provide protection, shelter and other forms of assistance, and advocacy on behalf of displaced and stateless people worldwide. UNHCR’s lifesaving support also includes access to health care, safe and clean water, education for children and young people, and livelihood opportunities. With more than 100 million people forced to flee their homes, this support is crucial so UNHCR can respond to humanitarian emergencies in Ukraine, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Myanmar, Nigeria, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and beyond. Thank you to UNIQLO and the supporters.”

Save the Children

“We wish to express our gratitude to UNIQLO and to everyone who has purchased a charity T-shirt. We will use the donation to support children in need who are in difficult situations in Ukraine and its neighboring countries, as well as countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Lebanon, and Mozambique. It will be used for a wide range of responses and activities, including establishing “Child Friendly Spaces” to provide opportunities for children to restore their normalcy, providing mental health and psychosocial support, ensuring learning opportunities, protecting children who have been separated from their families, and supporting livelihoods of families in difficult situations.”

Plan International

“We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to UNIQLO for allowing us to take part in this wonderful project, and for the generous donation. The funds received will be used to help girls under 18 years of age who are forced to marry against their will, deprived of educational and other opportunities, or subject to violence or abuse, and to prevent early (child) marriage.”

Lack of equal access to food, nutrition, and proper sanitation causes diseases such as diarrhea that may stunt Filipino child development, Erceflora Kiddie says

Diarrhea remains to be one of the leading causes of death among children under five years old both worldwide and in the Philippines, according to the Department of Health.[1] Unfortunately, proper food, nutrition, and sanitation are not high priorities as most Filipino families live below the poverty line, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority. [2]

Erceflora Kiddie hopes to address this deeply rooted problem through their “Batang Matatag” (Resilient Child) campaign.

“Access to basic health services, clean water and hygiene facilities, as well as nutritious food, remains to be a public concern to children, especially to those who reside in far-flung areas of the country,” said J Ann Mirasol, Head of Marketing of Sanofi Consumer Health Care.

“That is why Erceflora Kiddie is committed to helping build a campaign that boosts children’s resilience and gut health. Erceflora Kiddie is a great product to help address gut imbalance, but we realized we needed to take more concrete action and address the misconceptions about hygiene through education on food, gut resilience, and proper hygiene and create community kitchens that can provide regular access to clean water and nutritious food in the area,” she said. “This is how ‘Batang Matatag’ came about.”

World Bank Group’s Undernutrition report states that one in three children younger than five years old suffer from stunting or being too small for their age. This issue is linked to unsafe water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene and could often lead to repeated cases of diarrhea. Unfortunately, the report also states that several regions in the country have levels of stunting that exceed 40% of the population. Among these regions, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) stands out with 45% of children under five stunted. [3]

“A big challenge in BARMM is the lack of access to clean, nutritious food, and so we’re looking at communities in the region where our efforts through the ‘Batang Matatag’ campaign can really make a difference,” Mirasol said. “Illnesses like diarrhea leads to stunting of the development of Filipino youth which could also incite detrimental effects on their productivity and learning as they grow older.”

According to UNICEF Philippines, poor nutrition at such an early period can have irreversible effects on the mental and physical development of children, affecting their performance in school, later, their ability to earn as an adult, and ultimately, their quality of life as a person. [4]

“Despite decades of economic growth, these irreversible effects could cause the country a significant loss in human and economic potential, which is the biggest driver as to why we created the campaign,” Mirasol underscored.
Erceflora Kiddie believes that good nutrition is critical in building a foundation for economic prosperity. Filipino children who receive optimal nutrition will experience proper cognitive development and a greater chance to succeed. Through the “Batang Matatag” campaign, the company wants to give the children in BARMM a chance to grow and live life as a productive Filipino who can contribute to the growth of the country.

“We hope that this partnership between Erceflora Kiddie and Save the Children could potentially lead BARMM and the country one step closer to improving the health and nutrition status of the Filipino youth,” said Vanee Gosengfiao, General Manager of Sanofi Consumer Health Care.
