The Manila International Book Fair, is one of the longest-running book fairs in Asia, and the undisputed premiere book event in the country. The fair runs September 14 to 19, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
This is an early Christmas shopping with the best selection in books : fiction, non-fiction, cook books, children's books, Filipiniana, textbooks, professional books, references, fitness books, magazines, educational toys and many more.
For over three decade, the Manila International Book Fair has contributed to the reading awareness, and education of the Filipino people. The fair showcases thousands of books, magazines, periodicals, journals, and other educational materials and equipment by at least 150 local and foreign exhibitors. It has become a venue for members of the book industry to address market demands – institutional buyers walk alongside bibliophiles, publishers' representatives negotiate their latest titles with booksellers, publishers promote their books with their authors and artists.
The fair features various events including book launchings, storytelling sessions and competition, robotics demonstrations, seminars, forums, lectures, and Bible quiz championship,
The fair is organized by Primetrade Asia, Inc., in partnership with the Asian Catholic Communicators, Inc., the Book Development Association of the Philippines, the Overseas Publishers Representatives’ Association of the Philippines, and the Philippine Booksellers Association, Inc.
